Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Hi. Hi, everyone. I'm just kind of letting everybody hop in here. So I'm going to give it another minute or two. We might have a few more people hopping on. Where's everyone joining from? I'm curious!
Customer: Bay Area, California, Mountain View, Wisconsin,
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Illinois, Illinois, nice, Delaware, the beach, New Rockford, Illinois, okay, and I'm from Florida, ooh, Florida, lots of different seasons happening. Yeah. That's awesome. I got a few more people hopping in here. I'm in the Midwest. I'm here in Kansas City, and it's chilly today. It's not too cold. Starting to get cold. I'm holding my phone, so I'm sorry I'm so wobbly when I Oh, my phone. You're okay. That's all right. Okay. I feel like I'm going to go ahead and jump in. We might have a few more people who join us and that's okay. We can catch them up to speed as we need to. I think that we can go ahead and get started.
Let me move some things around on my computer. Welcome. My name is Kate. And you are of course on a group consultation here with Annmarie Skin Care. And here in a moment, we're going to really get into some products. But first I want to kind of just introduce you to the brand. When I went through the surveys that you guys have filled out, I was able to see that some of you had tried the line before, some of you it was fairly new.
And so we've got a wide array of products. We are Annmarie Skin Care, and so we are a very clean line. We place a high priority on our ingredients and a high priority on our packaging. We're paying attention to how this interacts with the body, as well as how this interacts with the planet.
Most of our products are what's called MADE SAFE Certified. And I have this call, Grace. Grace is my little assistant here. She's going to keep her camera off. But Grace, if you want to link us in the chat to the Made Safe page, Made Safe is a third party that we work with who tests our products. They test our ingredients. They do a lot of work on their end to verify that we are as clean as we say we are. And so we're really proud of their stamp of approval. Grace will link their page here in the chat in a moment, the Made Safe link on our page. Yeah, thank you Grace. And if you have more curiosity or want to get into that piece of it a little bit more deeply, you can click on that link and check it out.
We've got a big group and I want to make sure that we use our time wisely. So I'm not going to spend too long on that. But to speak more to the ingredients, we're using organic ingredients. So these are ingredients that are certified organic. We are using wild crafted ingredients. And so these are ingredients where we have this kind of predetermined plot. And then these herbs or florals grow wildly. They don't have human interaction. And then a third variation would be either organic or wild crafted. But these are usually farms that we've highly vetted. We feel very comfortable with their practice. Pretty good about using them even though they aren't certified organic.
A lot of times they're smaller and they either can't afford or it's not a priority of theirs to be certified organic and so we still opt in for their, their supplies, their products. We package most of our products in this dark glass here. This is myron glass and the myron glass is helpful for a couple different reasons. First of all, this is a recyclable glass. It is a great effort of ours to reduce the virgin plastic that we're putting out into the world. And so the glass, the cardboard, the aluminum that we use we're always kind of searching for ways to improve there. The other thing that's cool about the Myron glass is that it's this dark glass. And so it prevents UV exposure. And with that, we don't have to use this synthetic, excuse me preservatives. We don't have to use synthetic emulsifiers to keep the product texture, to keep the life of the product. All of that. So yeah, that's a little bit about us. Now, before we jump in and start talking about products, I want to share our coupon code.
So before we jump into products, I can go through the surveys and offer some recommendations based on that.
But I wanted to see if anyone wanted to kind of come into the hot seat to be the volunteer and we can talk about your routine and build a routine specific for you and help you feel supported. With, with this conflict here.
I saw Carol. Carol, you wanna, you wanna be the, the, the one who goes today?
Customer: Well, my only reservation is that I'm, I'm sure I'm the oldest one here. I'm 84. But, life just, life is just beginning. So, why not? It's never too late. Yeah, because I've eaten well and diet for years. I actually have quite nice skin. Yeah. And up until now, I just have, I can't look at anybody's mind because I know I'm whatever. Up until now. I have really actually created my own little products with oil and essential oils. But I just realized I'm needing more help.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah. Well, this is beautiful. Thank you for what you shared so far. Do you want to tell me a little bit about your skin? Are you dry? Do you get sensitive?
Customer: The emu oil is, is really nourishing, but what, and I don't, it's not, I'm not using that regularly for the last few years. My skin really isn't dry, but what I have noticed is that it's kind of starting to be rough along here and in my chin and it's like what is that? So I've been thinking that what I need is a really good exfoliant. I made my own exfoliates, so I'm here, because I need it.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, this is awesome. Well, let's start to kind of shape a routine for you. So, I'm going to recommend a lot of products. Obviously, as you're listening, you can kind of prioritize what feels like it's most important to you now.
It might be all of them, it might be some of them, but I'm going to put a lot out there for you.
Customer: I want a complexion that is glowing like yours.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Well, he's a really good skincare line. So I've got, I've got some good tips for you. So let's start at the top, right? Let's start with your cleanser. At 84, a lot of times I'll recommend the cleanser just in the evening. When you are, start your skin is starting to age and the oil production is starting to slow I'm going to show you how to use a cleanser in the morning to slow down sometimes using cleanser both morning and evening can be a little bit excessive and so at least in the evening using a cleanser, you might also consider it in the morning to if it feels good, but you're perfectly fine to just use it in the evening. The one that I think would be really supportive for you is this one. This one is called the Phytonutrient Cleanser.
And you'll notice this product has a nice black label here. We have two lines, two primary lines. The tan label and the black label. We call the tan label the Signature Collection. We call the black label, the Wild Alchemy Collection, and this black label, the line tends to be more kind of targeted, more laser focused in addressing signs of aging, concerns of aging, things like that.
And so this one. It's still very rich and creamy. It's got this full kind of fatty feeling consistency to it. One of the key ingredients is a mango seed butter and this feels really, really nourishing on the skin. This is really, really softening on the skin. This creaminess can be helpful for texture. So we're, we're starting to see rough texture. We also have some ingredients in here that can help with pigmentation. I know that's not necessarily a concern that you mentioned, but someone listening that might be helpful for and then a lot of ingredients to help stave off and soften fine lines.
So again, it didn't sound like that was a huge concern of yours, but someone else listening, that might be something that is pertinent to them. How you use this is pretty straightforward. You wet your fingers, you wet your face. I do anywhere from three to five pumps, and then I kind of gently rub it between my fingers and massage it on my face.
With this one, And, and most of them, I recommend that you get them on the face at least 30 seconds. This one has several ingredients that we really want to give it some time to let it absorb into the skin. And so at least 30 seconds is a pretty good rule of thumb. So, whether you use this in the morning or not, it's up to you. But definitely in the evening, I would start with this particular one here. From there, we recommend toning this. And not every line recommends a toning mist. We recommend a toning mist for a couple of reasons. It provides this burst of hydration and this burst of nutrition and can support the skin in specific ways.
We've got three variations. I think the one that would be most ideal for you is this one. This one is called the Botanical Hydration Mist with Immortelle. This one, as opposed to the others, we have two, two others, they're a little bit smaller here. The other ones start with a very light aloe vera juice, so they're hydrating, but they're not quite as hydrating as this one. This one starts with a blend of two hydrosols. And we use a rose and an Immortelle hydrosol. Both of these are very potent for softening and staving off the appearance of fine lines, deeper creasing, things like that. Immortelle, which is one of the ingredients here, actually goes by the name Helichrysum a lot of the time. It's floral. But we really like using, you know, using the name immortal because it's got this legend of being this flower of immortality, this beautiful flower of immortality. So we really, really like this for really any support in steving off signs of aging. The other angle of this, which might not be as relevant for you, but if anyone's listening who has temporary redness, Or their skin's really sensitive or gets really inflamed really easily. There's a lot of chamomile in here and a lot of frankincense in this one. So skin that gets red, skin that gets, you know, tough, textured, irritated. This is a super, super nice one to have on hand.
Customer: Will you please send a copy of the name of that?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So Grace is going to be putting that in the chat. Okay.
Yeah, the name of this in the chat here. We don't send out a recording. There's not going to be a transcript that comes out, so I do recommend that you take as many notes as you can. If you need to take a screenshot, if you're on your phone, that's another way to do it to make sure that you remember any products that you're interested in.
Customer: Please repeat the name of that product.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Of course, yeah. This is called the Botanical Hydration Mist. And how we use this one, again, it's pretty straightforward. It comes with a little cap, and you take the cap off, and then you are just misting your face. Right? It's just a little mister spray here.
You don't need to put it onto a cotton round. You don't need to wipe it off. You want this to stay on the skin. And then you're going to continue with your routine. So this happens right after you cleanse, mist the skin. This is helpful by providing that burst of hydration, but this also is very supportive for our serums. Which I'll get into here in a moment, but yeah, miss the skin and then let it sit on the skin and don't remove it with a cotton round or anything like that. Any questions so far, Carol?
Customer: Thank you.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: No. Okay, let's keep going. So the next step we would recommend in your routine is a serum. And serums typically, and this is true for our brand and for a lot of brands, serums are this kind of thinner, aqueous consistency. They're designed to be very lightweight in the aspect that they absorb more deeply into the skin with the intent to be working on particular concerns at a lower level. And so this is where we kind of think about what we're wanting to address. Are we wanting to address deep creasing? Are we wanting to address profound pigmentation? Are we wanting to address uneven skin tone, the appearance of creasing, drooping is another one that the serum step is really helpful for because these ingredients absorb into the lower layers of the skin and they get to work with your skin before it's even made it up to being the visible layer. They're working with the skin and kind of helping to retrain the skin with some ingredients. Some ingredients work a little bit differently before it's even up at the surface. And so it's this, this kind of What cumulative effect as you're using a serum. Now, all of our serums are hydrating as well. So we've got some variation of a humectant in every single one of them. That could be hyaluronic acid. It could be a certain mushroom that we use. The reason that serums are hydrating is because they work really well with the toning to plump up the skin. So when you've misted your skin, whether you let it dry fully, or you have let this kind of stay a little bit damp as you apply the serum, the humectant is seeking out the moisture and it's adding this kind of boost to plumping the skin. So, if the appearance of fine lines is a concern, this combo is really helpful. Now, for what you've got going on, Cheryl, you've got pretty even skin, it seems like it's pretty balanced. I think one of two could be really good for you. Let's see. One of them being this one, this is called the Anti-Aging Serum. I have, I do use that. You use this one. Oh, I'd love it. And this one does come in two sizes and I call that out. Cause this is the only one of our serums that we do offer in the two sizes. It's very popular. It's. It's a little bit more cost effective, and it's also a little bit more sustainable. So the Anti-Aging Serum, which it sounds like you've used and you love, is awesome for just keeping skin very supple.
There's a lot of hyaluronic acid in here, which is great for kind of plumping the skin, maintaining this hydration level. We also have this really lovely floral complex. Which is, what is in here, Rose, and Idle Weiss, and Life Everlasting. What these do is they work to keep and kind of maintain the resiliency of the skin. So as you kind of make facial expressions and laugh and smile, there's a little bit more of a bounce back than there maybe was without using this one. So this is one option that could be really good for you. The other one that came to mind is this one. This one's called the Wild Fruit Serum. Now this particular one is really helpful for a lot of different signs of aging.
The anti aging is really, really, really supportive for this burst of hydration and softening fine lines. The Wild Fruit Serum has ingredients to help with texture. We've got both uber, earthy and licorice root in here, and so this can be really good if you're experiencing texture. This can also be really good if you're experiencing tone discoloration and it could be as you know, on the far end, melasma. It could just be a little bit of pinkishness in the skin. The skin could be kind of reacting in certain ways, and some areas are a little bit off color. So this one can be helpful for that. Aside from that, it also has a lot of hyaluronic acid in it. So very much like the Anti-Aging Serum. This also has in it stem cells.
We have Madonna Lily plant based stem cells in here. And it probably goes without saying that any time I mention stem cells, they are plant based. We aren't using any other variation of stem cells in the product. But stem cells are really helpful for the strength and the lift of the skin. So, the way stem cells work, kind of a short high level is as you apply the stem cells, they absorb into the skin and then they almost kind of retrain the skin that's happening at the lower levels. So, as this comes up to the surface. Your skin mimics the behavior of the stem cells. So as a result, you usually have more taut, lifted looking skin. Now, with this particular ingredient, stem cells and a lot of the brighteners, uva ursi is another really good example, those take a little bit longer to see an effect. It can be anywhere from six to eight weeks or so. It's about the time of a full skin cycle, which is about a month plus a little bit of time. And I call that out just to set realistic expectations. If I've got anybody whose primary concern is drooping in the face and you're using this for two weeks, you're probably not going to see a super profound difference on the onset.
But then once it starts working, it's kind of a snowball effect. You see this more lifted look in the skin there. So I think this could also be a good option for you, you know, either, or with the serums, I don't usually recommend any kind of layering or mixing of the serums themselves. Usually I recommend one serum that kind of sits in that serum spot.
And then if you want to alternate it with another one, that's great as well. Any questions about the serums for anyone? Carol, you, but anyone else who's listening.
Customer: Which one would you recommend for temporary redness?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, let's do that one. So for temporary redness and Bonnie, I might come back to the specific skin concern because I think several people had mentioned this.
Okay. So what I'll do is we'll kind of wrap up Carol's routine and then I'll recommend a routine specific for redness because I've got some really good ones that can be supported for that. Okay. Thank you. You're welcome.
For the texture, Carol, I want to also mention this little set that we've got. So this set is called the Concentrated Boosting Elixirs. Trying to get them all so you can see them. It's a set of three concentrated boosters that we sell that you mix a little bit into your serum. So you would do, you know, two pumps of your serum and then a couple drops of a booster. This set I think could be helpful with the texture specifically. The three different ones, this one is called hydrate. This is a really concentrated amount of hyaluronic acid and peptides. So if you've got skin that's rough or textured, part of that could be that it is dry and just needs a little bit of boost in a certain, you know, kind of area there. And hyaluronic acid with this being a humectant can help kind of pull the moisture to those areas.
So this could be a booster that could help. I'll note with this booster, we do actually retail it on its own. So if you're listening and you're like, okay, I don't need the other two, you can just buy the hydrate. That one is sold on its own. Another one. The second one that's in this set is called Brighten, and the Brighten's really helpful for uneven tone and texture. This is a concentrated form of vitamin C. And what's cool about the Brighton is not just that it's a vitamin C, but this is a shelf stable vitamin C. It's actually really, really hard to find a vitamin C on the market that is shelf stable. Most of the time when you can combine any form of the powdered vitamin C with water, it starts to go rancid pretty quickly. So a lot of the time, these products on the shelves have vitamin C, but they're not really that effective because they've already started to turn. The other thing that's cool about this vitamin C, and I can never pronounce it, I suggest just looking at the ingredient list is this is not a petroleum derived vitamin C, which is another thing that is really common with vitamin C on the market is that there's some, there's some variation of petroleum derivative.
And so as we're creating products, we're looking for clean ingredients. This was one that we were going to make sure that we did right if we were going to do it. So to swing it back to the product itself, the Brighton, the vitamin C in the Brighton is helpful for tone and helpful for texture. And so mixing a drop or two of this into your serum and then applying the serum, this can help kind of even out some of the imbalance in the skin.
This is another one that we do retail on its own. So again, if you're listening and you're like, okay, I don't need the hydrate, I don't need the revitalize. I just want the Brighten. You can get this. And again, this Brighten is the one that if you've got, if you have spent 250 or more, I'm going to send you that. So and then the last one that comes in the set is this one. This is called the Revitalize. Now this one is a retinal alternative. So I would go really light with this one. I do maybe a drop, but it's a really, really nice way to smooth the skin really quickly. It's not a retinol. This is a retinol alternative. And so it's not depleting the skin in the same way a retinol does. But it is still exfoliating. And so especially if you're new to it, I recommend starting with just a single drop of this one. So I wanted to mention these three because I think this could be helpful with the texture there for you. And then to close it out, I'm going to talk about the oil and the eye cream. And then we'll see. Oh, and then an exfoliant. We've got three more.
The facial oil is what we recommend as our form of moisture. And for us, oil is absolutely sufficient. We don't need a cream over the top. We don't need to apply a lotion over the top. The types of oils that we use are very, very clean, very concentrated oils, and your skin naturally produces oil as a form of moisture. As you're going along here, and you know, as you're growing up, your skin naturally produces oil. This was what you were, what kind of maintained the balance of your skin. Probably until around puberty, and then we started to introduce skincare. But using oil as a form of moisture, specifically a really clean oil, your body recognizes this as its form of moisture. And so there might be a little bit of a transition period if you've been using synthetic moisturizers for a lot of time, a couple days to maybe a week, where your body's just kind of readjusting to integrating this oil that feels like It's a natural form of moisture.
But from there, your skin takes on this really radiant, very lively, healthy glow. And so I think for you, Carol, one of two would feel really, really lovely.
The first one is this one. This is the Anti-Aging Facial Oil.
And again, this is one that does come in two sizes. So you can go with the smaller size, you can go with the larger size. This one is a very rich jojoba oil base. And so this one, it feels very much like your skin's natural oil. Jojoba mimics skin's natural oil really closely. And so we recommend this a lot for drier skin, or skin that is starting to kind of slow down in terms of producing its own oil. The blend of this includes Oh, chia seed, goji berry, broccoli seed, a lot of ingredients to really keep the skin very resilient and very full.
It's like a nutritious kind of restorative facial oil. This is one that is a very, very big seller. We have a lot of people who are subscribed to just this product. They might use another product from time to time. But this is one that they, they cannot go without. And so anyone who's listening whose skin is dry or skin is aging, this is one that you might at least consider.
Customer: Is that the one that you send in the sample?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, so if you, if you got the
Clean Beauty Trial Kit, you have tried this. Yeah.
Customer: The smell is fairly strong!
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: I feel like the sample sizes, the scent gets a little bit concentrated because it's a tiny bottle. It does have this really herbal scent to it. But when you apply it to the face from a larger bottle, I don't notice that it sticks around or is as potent as it is when it's in that because it's a tiny little dram. Yeah. That you get to know. Yeah. So keep that in mind as you're using it, but it's quite concentrated in that tiny little bottle there. Carol, The other oil that came to mind as I was considering what might be good for you is this one. This one's called the Divine Woman Elixir. This one is a particularly cool one. Or a couple, you know, outside of just the ingredient formulation. This one's really nice for dry skin. It's really nice for textured skin. This one's also really helpful if anyone's listening and their skin's really sensitive. This starts with the jojoba oil base. But then the herbs that we use in this are actually herbs that are hand planted and then hand grown and harvested from Anne Marie herself. This is grown on their property. We harvest these herbs, we steep the herbs into it. So there's kind of this additional touch of freshness in this product. So for Carol or anyone who's listening, if you really get into it, Farm fresh ingredients. The analogy I'll often give sometimes is like, it's kind of like the difference between eggs from a store versus eggs from a farm. Like there's just an additional touch of freshness in the feel of the product. That's true with the Divine Woman. And that's not to put any of the other oils down. There's just this additional layer of like intention and love and freshness. We've kind of completely gone over the middleman with the supplier.
We get them right from Ann Marie herself. And it's that, that really boosts this product. And then again, the skin types that love this dry skin, aging skin, sensitive skin, all of those, the defined woman is really supportive for.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: that would be the last step as far as the face. Now, I want to make sure to mention the specific exfoliant, because you had mentioned an interest in that.
Customer: question. Between the two, the Anti-Aging Facial Oil, and is it Divine or Design? Divine. divine between those two oils, which would, which would you recommend?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: I would, I would recommend the divine woman. It's just as hydrating. It provides just as much moisture. It's super, super softening. So this is really nice for textured or rough skin. And then I really, really prioritize the fresh feeling that I get with the divine woman. And so I would recommend this if this is within your budget over the anti aging.
Speaker 8: Thank you. Thank you. Yes.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yes. Now, a good exfoliant, then this is good for a lot of different skin types. This one is called the Radiant C Mask and Polish, and this is a loose dry powder. I'm going to show you what it looks like here, that you can really customize. You can add more water to it to have a kind of smooth finish. softer polish feels to it. You can add a lot less water to have more of a kind of gritty or texture to it. This one is great for rough skin, textured skin just general polish or exfoliating of the skin. This is also particularly helpful for skin that's got any kind of discoloration or pigmentation. The ingredient composition of this, it has a lot of hibiscus, it has a lot of cherry what else, kakadu plum, all of the ingredients are very vitamin C rich. And so when we're adding this to water, you get this really, really bright brightening facial scrub. Now you can also use it as a mask. So you can put a little bit into a jar, add a little bit of water. Again, more water is going to be a very kind of runny, softer feel. Less water is going to be a, you know, thicker paste. But this is also really nice if your skin is kind of, you know, experiencing some drooping you get kind of this lifted effect with the french rose clay that's in here. Now what's also cool about this one, and this is why this works for so many different skin types, is you can also mix a little bit of this into a cleanser.
So you could shake a little bit into your hand, do a pump or two of your cleanser. It's a nice way to kind of boost the brightening of your cleanser. And again, you can kind of customize the amount so you can have a little bit more of a textured cleanser or just a light polish in the cleanser. And likewise with the masks. So you can mix this with just water. It's awesome. You can mix this into this one. This is called the illuminating pearl mask. And this is one that's really brightening for the skin. Anyone who really wants to have a super bright, glowy complexion, this is so, so nice for. I use this one quite a bit. Probably once a week. Yeah, maybe twice a week. But doing a little bit of the powder, the Radiant C Mask and Polish into this it just adds this additional kind of boost of brightening there. So lots of different ways to use this. Great for texture, great for just a buffing of the skin. Where that goes in your routine, so if you're having a night where you're going to polish the skin, I would cleanse the skin normally first.
And then do your, your exfoliating step. So do that right after. And then after you've either scrubbed it as long as feels good or left it on for 15 minutes or, you know, whatever you're doing with it then you'll rinse it and then go into the rest of your routine. Toning mist, serum, oil, all of that.
Does that make sense?
Customer: Awesome. I have a question. I don't see a way to save the chat. Is there a way that we can have a PDF or something on it so we can get all that information that you're sharing.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: I am not sure I can commit to that mostly because I don't know how. We don't usually send out transcripts afterward. And so what I recommend is if you're on your computer that you click through the links. That grace is providing, and it might mean that you have, you know, eight tabs open or something like that. But then you're able to kind of come back to these. Thank you. My best recommendation. Yeah. If I can find a way to just send the transcript, I will, and I'm sure there is a way, but I don't know it.
Customer: Very often they have, you just can save the chat, but I don't think that's available. Yeah.
Grace – Annmarie Skin Care Marketing Assistant: I wonder if that's a setting. Oh, yeah.
Customer: It could ask a question, please. And I am listening as I'm trying to see if this when you're talking about skin discoloration, is that more something on the surface of your skin? Like, for me, I have been a lighter, which is underneath, obviously. So that's not something that I think would change. Yeah. Okay. I just, I don't know.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Well, so let me speak to that a little bit. Most of the time when I'm speaking to discoloration, I'm speaking to anything that's like what I would kind of refer to as like a post something, in the sense of there being some form of damage to the skin and that usually will look at after a bad pimple and those specific things you're usually seeing a darkened area that is happening at a lower layer in the skin.
How our brighteners work is we, most of the brighteners vitamin C is a little bit different, but they do work at the lower layer and they kind of accumulate on areas of pigmentation, they build up and they can help that go back to sleep. They're called tyrosinase inhibitors.
So starting at the top. For your cleanser with temporary redness, temporary redness usually can be a range. It can be maybe a lighter flare up. It might just look like some sensitivity. Two cleansers that we have are really particularly supportive for this. This first one is the Aloe Herb Cleanser. And I love this cleanser. This is also really, really nice if you're really dry. My skin gets really, really dry and so I use this one a lot. This one has a really soft, creamy texture. This has a lot of herbs in it that are designed to soothe the skin. It's great for most skin types. It's one that we send out in a lot of sample sets because everybody can use this. Everybody likes this one, but it's particularly supportive for temporary redness prone, sensitive prone really dry dry and aging, any kind of variation of those, those skin types like the Aloe Herb Cleanser quite a bit. How you use this one is just like the phytonutrient cleanser. You wet your fingers, you wet your face. I do anywhere from 3 to 5 pumps or so, and then gently massage it into the skin. The other one that's really good for temporary redness prone skin is this one. This one is called the Restorative Cleansing Oil. Now, this one, as the name suggests, is a blend of oils, and so it's a very thick feeling.
It's a very oily feeling. For somebody who's really sensitive and really, really dry, they usually love the feel of it because it provides a lot of moisture very quickly. I personally use this one every once in a while, but I do like it when my skin's feeling really parched, really, really dry. But this also has some herbs in it that can soothe skin that gets really inflamed or really irritated. Now the way you use this one can vary. You can still wet your fingers and wet your face and apply this. I think that's perfectly fine. Another way that I really like to apply this, especially if your skin is really dry, is doing dry fingers on a dry face. So we're pumping it on dry fingers, applying it to the face, maybe you massage it for a minute, maybe you do like a gua sha routine, something like that while that's on the face, and then come in with water to rinse it off. With that particular product, with it being an oil base, It does not rinse off completely again, and that's by design with it being this blend of oils. Some people love it. Some people want a little bit of support. So it might be that you use water and that's it. And you're good. You can also use it. I usually have a washcloth. I don't have a washcloth, a warm wet washcloth and just kind of remove excess that way. That's a really great non-invasive way. Another way is to just come in with a subsequent cleanser. So let's say you really like the moisturizing feel of this, but remove it if you feel like you need a little bit more support. The Aloe Herb Cleanser is a really nice one. So that's where I would start.
Now, moving into the toning mist, just like I had suggested for Carol, the botanical hydration mist is awesome for temporary redness. A lot of times I'll have Grace tell her tale about it, but I don't know if she's up for it. She's kind of feeling sick today. Grace has pretty sensitive skin. She has temporary redness prone skin, and she uses one in her gym bag, she has one on her desk, she's got it, she just keeps them by her all the time. She's got the kind of skin that flares up with time. food. She just wants to have it close because misting it really helps to soothe the redness of the skin. She's told stories like she'll be at the gym and people will want to try it. She's like misting a line of girls at the gym. It's super, super cute. But the chamomile here, we have four different types of chamomile. And so we really selected, I know there's like 45 types of chamomile. We really prioritize selecting ones that specifically work with skin that's really angry. With the intent to kind of soothe this and calm this down. And then the frankincense also is helpful for soothing and calming. So if none of the other products sound like they might be ideal for you, I suspect that this one's going to be one that's really supportive for temporary redness prone skin. Now getting into the serums, which is what you had asked out and asked about initially here, Bonnie, there are two that are really, really good.
The first one is this one here. This is the Probiotic Serum with Tremella.
This one is designed to be a skin suitor. So we have in here a lot of the tremella mushrooms. The tremella mushroom functions similarly to hyaluronic acid. It pulls moisture to it, but the tremella mushroom is a little bit softer. We also have in this one an olive leaf ferment in a probiotic complex. And so both of those are really, really like intentionally designed to nourish the good bacteria of the face. Sometimes flare ups happen if your skin's kind of been thrown off for one reason or another. The skin flora is just a little bit And so this is designed to help to kind of bring everything back into this very homeostatic place finding a lot of ease and a lot of comfort in the feel of the skin with the probiotic serum. So yeah, that's a really, really nice option. If your skin is temporary redness prone, sensitive, and really, really dry. Another really good option for you is this one. This is called the Activated CBD Serum. Now the Activated CBD Serum, a couple of things to note when you're shopping this one, when you click on the link, it does take you to its own site. This is by design. This is purposeful. That's how we can legally retail a CBD product. So it's got its own site. You go to that site. We don't charge shipping on that site. So even though you're checking out the single purchase you're not paying shipping because that would be such a bummer to pay shipping twice. What else? Also this is only available in the U.S. With it being a CBD product, we unfortunately can't ship this outside our borders. And so if you're, you've joined us internationally at Canada's most common, I can't get this one to you. CBD is a really helpful product, a really helpful ingredient for a myriad of reasons. CBD, whether consumed topically, whether consumed orally or applied topically, works with your body's own endocannabinoid system, which is essentially like a triage. So as you're receiving this endocannabinoid support, it goes to areas that are breaking down, slowing down or damage. And so this could be temporary redness, where you've got redness. It's really helpful with this soothing kind of restorative effect. It could just be signs of aging, so any areas that's blowing down or breaking down, the body would recognize this as needing some additional support, and it'll integrate that. Aside from the CBD in this product, this is also a richer, fuller serum. So it's creamier. It's softer. This is really, really nice for dry sensitive skin. We have several different hydrators including both hyaluronic acid and tremella mushroom. And we've also got a lot of antiagers in this one. We've got black cumin seed. We've got astaxanthin, which I'm not going to clue you on later. They're long names, but they're really just potent. Antioxidants that support the skin. So, this is a really good one. I'm a big fan of the CBD serum.
Now, getting into the oil, our facial oil. While pausing real quick, you could do the Concentrated Boosting Elixirs. I actually really like this. If somebody who has temporary redness is interested in retinol. We have a night serum. This is the activated night serum. It's a retinol alternative. Sometimes it's too intense for temporary redness prone or, or sensitive skin. But with the set of the boosters, you can start really slowly with the revitalize. This is the retinol alternative in a concentrated form. So it's a cool way to integrate it in a way that your skin can handle. This is one that I've worked with several customers for, especially if you do maybe like a half a drop or one drop of this.
And then two to three drops of the hydrate together in your serum, right? Put your serum in the palm of your hand. You're dropping these in. This is a nice way to kind of get the retinol experience without the intensity that even comes with the activated night serum, like something that is still a clean product that can really tailor to the needs of sensitive or temporary redness prone skin. So I wanted to call those in, in here, but then moving on to the oils. Putting those back. Two, two specific oils are really helpful for very sensitive skin. The first one is this one. This is called the herbal facial oil for sensitive skin. This one is really, really soft. Very, very supple. This one does not have any added essential oils in it. So the scent profile is pretty herbal and it's nice and light and kind of like a plant feeling. That too. Interesting, really. This has a lot of ingredients that soothe the skin. So we've got satcha inchi, we've got camellia seed, we've got squalane. All of these ingredients are providing this really soothing kind of fatty support for skin that gets irritated.
This is also one, maybe you're listening and you're like, I don't have sensitive skin. I actually really like this for removing eye makeup. It's not technically, of course, an eye makeup remover, but it does work really well. So, if you are, if that piques your interest, that's an option with it. But otherwise, it's a great facial moisturizer.
Now, this one's a grape seed oil base, so it's a little bit lighter than our richest oils. So, if you have a normal combo or maybe normal dry, temporary redness prone skin. This one will be supported for if you have temporary redness prone skin and are super dry. This one, which we got into already, this is the Divine Woman Elixir, is really nice.
Again, this is the one that we use the herbs that Annmarie grows, and I love hearing her talk about it because in her little garden she's got St. John's Wort, she's got Feverfew, she's got Calendula. Oh, what else is in it? Echinacea, this really beautiful herbs that really just help soothe irritation anywhere but specifically we're using it in the skincare product. This is a limited edition product in the fact that we release one variation per season, or per year, I guess. It's like, they grow it over the course of the season, and then we harvest it and make the batch. It will be a little bit different from year to year. There might be one year that has more St. John's wort or one more that one year that has more calendula. And the way Annmarie talks about it, she really just trusts the earth to be providing what's going to be needed. For our customers in the coming season, and it's just, it's this beautiful relationship. I feel like the product just embodies this beautiful relationship that Annemarie has with herbs and the planet and earth and all of that.
So the herbs themselves won't change, but the ratios could, depending on, you know, one year might have a big boom of calendula. And so we'll use that. So that's also one that's really nice for sensitive skin. May
Customer: I ask a question? Of course. Is this Elixir, the Divine Woman Elixir? in any way similar to herbal facial oil?
Is the elixir an oil type?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: That's a really good question. So it is an oil. It starts with the jojoba oil, so it's a little bit richer. The ingredient makeup is not super similar to the herbal facial oil for sensitive skin. It uses really different herbs and it starts with a different base oil, but both of them are hydrating. And both of them are soothing the skin, so in that way they're similar, but the composition is really pretty different from one to the other. Perfect, thank you. You're welcome. To expand here with temporary redness prone skin, if you're looking for a scrub, the one that we were talking about, the Radiant C is a really nice one for sensitive skin. Again, because you can customize the like intensity with the scrubby effect. You can have it be more intense. You can have it be way, way softer. This really lends itself to a lot of different skin types. And vitamin C can be really supportive for temporary redness prone skin. So, again, either the Concentrated Boosting Elixirs with the Brighten, or the individual Brighten.
This one here that you would add into a serum. Both of those can be helpful. And then this one as well. Now the masks that I like for temporary redness prone skin. I mentioned one of them. This is the Illuminating Pearl Mask. This is great for sensitive skin. This has a lot of turmeric. This also has… What else is in here? Honey. There's a lot of honey. And then a lot of Licorice Root, Pearl Powder, all of that. It's very smooth. I always hesitate to show it because it looks really ugly on camera. It's really pearly in person. It's got this really kind of beautiful, pearly sheen.
And the color variation, it can be anything from like a nice pearly white to like a purple or a purple gray. Color variations are really normal in our products because we use these herbs that are, we let them grow as freely as possible. And so sometimes we might have, like a probiotic serum that's way more orange. And the range of the serums can be anywhere from like a lightish yellow to like a more burnt orange. All of that's within the range of normal. We kind of think of it like wine, like grapes from season to season are different. And so a lot of the herbs are another mask that I like quite a bit is this one.
This one's called the Coconut Honey Mask. And it's this really rich mask. You can see it's really super thick. Mine's really cold. Don't do this if it's warm. It's a lot of coconut oil. It's a lot of honey. And then a couple other ingredients that really, really help to hydrate and soothe the skin. I love this one when my skin's really dry. Even if I'm using the most hydrating routine, sometimes I still have days where I feel like I'm a little bit parched. I do this in the evening and then I'm good for another three days or so. It feels like it just keeps it really, really right at the perfect balance level. And so I do love the Coconut Honey Mask quite a bit for dry skin, it’s the best. That one's really good. What else? I didn't get into this with Carol's routine, but for anyone, the Sun Love is super helpful for this is our sunscreen product. It's an SPF 20, and a lot of times we get asked if that feels like a high enough SPF. We actually intentionally went with the 20 instead of a 30, instead of a 15, because there's the perfect amount of zinc oxide. And what's really interesting about sunscreen SPF, an SPF 20 is going to block 95 percent of UV rays. When you get to a 30, it blocks 97. When you get to a 50, it's blocking like 98. Anything upwards is blocking between 98 and 99. Nothing is going to claim to block 100 percent of UV rays other than like a wall or something.
And so the SPF 20, it blocks 95 percent of UV rays and we were able to formulate this in such a way that it still applies very sheerly. It's got a little bit of a white cast when you first put it on, but then it evens out and it is super glowy. I love the wear of this one which was really a big deal for us because zinc oxide, it's typically very gloppy.
It's oftentimes very white cast. And so we actually named this The sun love everyday sheer sunscreen because we're like, they got to know that it's a sheer one. And so for any routine, but specifically routines where you're working to combat fine lines or combat redness, making sure that you're protecting your skin from UV from the sun is going to be pretty imperative. A lot of times we'll do all these extra steps, but then we go expose our skin to the sun. And when I say expose your skin to the sun, I do mean for a prolonged period. I know that vitamin C is pretty vital for the health of your whole body. Not vitamin C, vitamin D, excuse me. But prolonged periods, you can incur some damage.
And especially if your skin's a little bit on the tender or sensitive side. If you've been using something like the Revitalize Elixir or the Activated Night Serum. That one has The bioactive a, the retinal alternative in it. Those are going to increase your photosensitivity. So just protecting the skin.
From there, that's a pretty thorough routine for anyone. Do you mind if I ask a
Customer: quick question? Of course! Serum has about a and can increase photosensitivity. How long would it increase photosensitivity? I do put some blocks every morning.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah. So if you use this one night, I would say the next two mornings, make sure you're, you're protecting the skin. The Anti-Aging Eye Cream is one product that I do like to call out a lot on these calls. We have a couple of eye products. This one's my favorite. And so you want to make sure to mention it. The eye cream. It's a softer, creamy texture. This is particularly helpful for eye areas that are droopy or puffy. Some of the ingredients here, we have a lot of CoQ10. CoQ10 is a kind of protein, protein chain, what, rebuilder. And so for creasing around the eyes, the CoQ10 is helpful. We also have a lot of CQ10 in the eye cream. stem cells. And so this is really helpful at keeping the eye area very lifted, very lifted. I recommend this one even if you aren't in a place where you're super concerned about your eye area at this point, where you might be younger or maybe it just is really good. This is also helpful to maintain the strength of the eye area. That stem cell really helps to keep that lift. Aside from that, another really key ingredient here is the cucumber distillate. Cucumber distillate is really helpful for puffiness under the eyes. And this is one that I, I was recommending this product even before I worked for Annmarie Skin Care. I didn't get into my background at all, but I used to manage day spawn. We had a lot of different lines. We had skin ceuticals and image skincare and then some Annmarie skincare products.
And I would use that. And I was just blown away by the way that this one felt by the way this helped with puffiness and the speed with this, which with which this helped with puffiness. So that's why I love it a lot, but I do have a lot of customers who like it for the lift or on the eye area as well.
Customer: do you mind showing us where exactly when you apply that eye cream? Like, is it just like the bottom area? Like how close can you get or not get to your eye?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, that's a really good question. I'll actually just apply some here for you. I don't have any makeup on, so. So I usually do this much on my fingertips.
I don't know, that's about half a pea size. I use either my ring finger or my middle finger, and the reason we recommend the ring or the middle finger is because they're the weakest, and the eye area, the muscles around the eye area are so kind of precariously inserted into the other that if you're pulling really hard, you can do a lot of damage, and it can be, it can kind of exacerbate signs of aging. I pat this, all the way around the orbital bone when I apply this. Now, technically you could bring this all the way up to the lash line. It's not wrong, but the eye area, the tissue around the eye area is so papery thin that it pulls product in. And so you tend to use a lot extra when you're trying to get it all the way up to the lash lines or down to the lash line. And so I typically just recommend right around the whole orbital bone there. And I do like it up in the brow bone. You can go a little bit more heavy on the sides of the eye. I just kind of, You know, evenly apply it around the whole eye area. And that's pretty, it works pretty well for me. But again, yeah, you don't really need to bring it all the way up to the lash line. It's not, it's not increasing the efficacy a ton. It's going to pull it up. The tissue is going to pull that up where it needs to go.
Customer: So you don't put any serum around the eye?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Well, that's a great question because we do have another product that's called the Fruit Ceramide Eye Serum.
Customer: Oh, I see.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: You can. So when we're doing our routine, when you're doing your serum step, you can absolutely bring the serums up around the eye.
You can bring the oils up in that area as well. I recommend the eye cream being applied over the facial oil, which can feel a little bit counterintuitive, but it's a little bit richer than the oil. And so if you apply it first, the oil just kind of settles in. It's on top of it, which isn't that bad. I just noticed that sometimes it's a little bit glossy if I do it in that order, but to speak to the eye serum, this is a product that we carry. It's very rich in stem cells, very rich in peptides and very rich in ceramides. I usually recommend this if I'm working with someone who has more pronounced creasing around the eyes, and that's a primary concern of theirs. A lot of times, and this is maybe my bias, because I don't use it too, too often. I feel like it adds an extra step, and if you aren't at the place where you really are needing that yet, You don't really need it yet. It's not boosting it too much more than just using the eye cream. I like eye cream at any point in your age or life cycle. The eye serum, I think if that's a big concern, if the eye area is a big concern, then I would recommend integrating it. Otherwise I think you're okay without it. I think you're pretty good about it.
Thank you.
Customer: Sorry, I have another comment about the serum I actually use. And so when I pump it out, there's like, you know, the thinner oil and then there's like a thick glob. So is that how it's supposed to come out? Sometimes it comes up more evenly and sometimes it separates and then I apply it and then, you know, over time, I just see kind of that thick brown area just kind of there.
So I'm not sure if it's supposed to be more absorbed or if it's working or not.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: That's a good question with this one specifically. So with this one, air exposure oxidizes it really quickly, and so you do oftentimes, especially if you've taken a day off, have what, it's, I don't, it's not what it's really called, I just call it like the product booger, like it's just the kind of like dried part of the tip. The consistency of this is more serum like based, like this thinner Let's see if I can get out my fingertip. Just a very thin almost liquidy, it's a little bit more than liquid, but it's not usually chunky, it's not usually like too different consistency, and so maybe the one that you have you might want to give it a stir, you know, twist the lid off and kind of stir anything back together. Because we don't use synthetic emulsifiers, sometimes towards the last year of the product's life. Depending on the product, it can separate a little bit. This is not one that I get a lot of feedback for, but I do get a lot of feedback on the kind of darkness under the eyes, and I've got really good tips for you there.
So that can happen when you're applying this to the skin and then it's drying before it really has a chance to absorb into the skin. And so my number one tip for that is misting your skin generously and then leaving your skin damp as you apply the serum. And I would apply this before your facial serum. So I would do your cleanser, mist your skin, do about a half a pea size of this. While skin still damp and I would apply it in the exact same way I might concentrate a little bit more on the sides of the eye Oftentimes that's really what that's really supportive for is like crease, deeper creasing, deeper drooping Things like that and then come in and apply your serum Your facial serum over the top of that. A lot of times when you've got the skin damp with the toning mist it really kind of gives the eye serum something to mix with and something to pull it in as it absorbs Versus the drying super fast on the surface. And then it'll either pill up sometimes, or it'll look a little bit like brown or orange if it dries. I think the consistency of the serum because it's a lighter more aqueous feeling serum if it dries. And because it's a serum, it kind of will show up a little bit more than the eye cream. So yeah. Yeah. Okay, we're really doing great on time. I'm trying to think if there's anything else that we haven't mentioned that I want to make sure to mention.
I do want to talk briefly about the Activated Night Serum.
So far, the recommendations that I've been building don't necessarily include this one, but this is a really cool product and I want to make sure we know about it. And then we've got a good amount of time, so we'll see if anybody has more questions. So the activated night serum, I'm typically recommending this for anyone who is concerned with creasing, concerned with discoloration signs of aging, any position where you might use a retinol, this would be where I would kind of insert this. So, I don't think anyone on the call has this concern, but like breakout prone. Skin types really like this as well. The ingredient in here, which is the same ingredient that's in the Revitalize of the Concentrated Boosting Elixirs is what we call bioactive a and it's an algae derivative It's not a vitamin a it's not a retinol. It's not a retinol It works with the skin in a more gentle way than retinol, but it still really packs a punch. So it is still increasing photosensitivity. It is still an exfoliant to the skin, but this is a really nice one if you want that retinol look, that very taut, very smooth, very lifted look to the skin. A lot of times we get feedback like really kind of glossy, glowy foreheads, things like that. This is what we're going to be using this for. Now, because it's got the bioactive A, we want this to be used at night, but we're not putting this on and then going out into the world. But aside from that, the formulation is also really designed to work with your rest and repair cycle.
It's a creamier serum. So it's, it's a thicker feeling serum. And again, there's a lot of anti-agers here. We've got some more intense antioxidants. We've got black cumin seed, there's some blue tansy. All of these are designed to work with your body when it's in this very kind of softened state that happens when you hit your REM cycle of sleep.
So it's designed to be worn overnight. Now some skin types can wear this every single night. I have a lot of co-workers who wear this every single night. Some skin types, drier skin, more sensitive skin, you're probably going to do it less frequently. My skin type is this interesting combo of like, dry, sensitive, sometimes normal.
And I tend to do this about once every three days, maybe once every four days or so. You can do it more often. I've got a couple of customers who have sensitive skin. They'll use it three nights on and then four nights off. They've got their nights on and their nights off. And so you can integrate this in a way that feels good for your skin and your body.
It really just depends on, on your skin and how you feel. I almost always suggest starting with a night. And then seeing how your skin responds and do like leaving it for about five days and then if you feel like you're totally good than doing it another night. But you can really kind of tailor how this one, how this one is integrated into the skin.
So that one is another one that's widely popular. We retail a lot of that one. Yeah, but let's see what questions you all might have. And I can get the chat too. Okay, cool.
Customer: If you use that activated night one, would you be using the anti aging one during the day?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So you do want to have an alternative.
Yeah. And that one could be the anti aging. It could be the wild fruit. A lot of times people will do the wild fruit if they're also doing the activated night, but any other serum is fine to use as your daytime serum. Yeah. Good question. What about age? Yeah, so there are a couple things that really help with age spots or, or pigmentation.
The activated night can be helpful. It's exfoliating the skin and so we're getting this, this turnover that can help to lift that off. One of the serums, the Wild Fruit Serum, has some uva ursi in it. This also has some. Kakadu Plum. Both of those are going to be helpful for brightening an age spot. A lot of other things that we mentioned too. The Radiant Sea Mask and Polish are helpful for brightening age spots. The Brighten, of course, which is either on its own or in the set. This is, Fold in the set as well. That's also really helpful for age spots. Trying to think what else could be really good. If your skin is really tough, really tough is probably extreme. If your skin is in the normal range, if you aren't too sensitive one of our exfoliants is called the resurfacing facial exfoliant. It's a honey derived lactic acid, and so there is activity with this one. Somebody who's really sensitive, somebody who's really, really temporary redness prone this maybe isn't the best fit for you. But even dry skin types can use this one. This is another one that's an exfoliant. It does increase some photosensitivity, but can really kind of expedite, specifically helping to fade the appearance of discoloration. That one's really good. What else did we got? That probably covers it. Any facial oil can be helpful for that. Really, with that particular concern, you're focusing on the serum step. I think making sure to choose the right serum can be helpful in fading that pigmentation including the brightening, if you want to include the brightening, or brighten, right, the brighten booster, all of that. Yes. How long
Customer: do the products? I'm sorry. Where you go ahead, you go ahead.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Oh, go ahead. I think I heard one of the questions was how long do the products last? Yeah.
Customer: Yeah,
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: yeah, so they, how, if you're using them every day, you're usually going to get at least two, more likely three months out of them. Serums, you go through the quickest because you use the serum morning and night. You usually use a little bit more of the serum because it's so lightweight than you do the oil. I usually almost never use more than a pump of the oil at a time. Now, how long are they good for? When we produce our products, generally speaking, they're good for about two years after their production date.
We don't retail them within four months of the production date, so you could purchase one today that might expire four months from now. As long as you're using that, we're expecting that that's going to last for you. Another thing to note, because sometimes people will stock up, especially with the great sale, like 30 percent off, you can store them in the fridge and extend the shelf life a little bit. Let's say you got like four Anti-Aging Serums that have an expiration in five months or something like that. And you might go through them. You might not. If you store the excess in the fridge, then when you're ready, just take it out of the fridge. Depending on the product, you can usually add six months to a year to the life of that product. And usually your key indicators are scent and texture. If those change, it might not still be. Good, but you can add a lot of life to the product with the fridge. So I kind of lost my train of thought. I think just that helps to extend it and so you can still stock up even though it does expire. Yeah.
Customer: Perfect.
Customer: What is the gua sha routine that you mentioned? What is it?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: course. Yeah, so the gua sha, we have two variations of the gua sha stone. This is a more basic one. And then this one is a custom design for our brand. I prefer the Nephrite Gua Sha one because it's got this comb on the end and the comb is really helpful for kind of like lines in the nasolabial fold. But what this is, it's basically a stone that we're using with oil. You want to make sure you have some sort of glide on the skin to kind of retrain the fascia of the skin. And if you go to the product page, there are, there's like a video. You can also watch YouTube. There are a million variations on YouTube for a gua sha routine, but integrating the gua sha. I recommend about 5 minutes a day. Every day. I shoot for consistency over duration because what we're doing is we're helping to retrain. The fashion, the fashion is kind of like this connective tissue that's under the skin, connecting it to the muscle. We're wanting to go along the jawline, but not even just along the jawline.
When I'm recommending Gua Sha, I recommend going all the way into the neck and the decollete. This can be helpful for drooping. This can be helpful for creasing. It can be helpful for puffiness. A lot of times it's just the temperature that's helpful for puffiness, but for drooping and, and sagging along the jawline, this is kind of the biggest place you see a difference. And we want you to do it in the neck and the chest here because sometimes the drooping on the neck actually isn't because of the skin on the neck. It can be due to really tight muscles here That can be pulling that area of the face down, especially if it's been tight for a really long time Especially if you work on a computer or you're on your phone where your face is like this a lot That can that can be really really common I guess result of it. So it's a tool that you use, and the coupon code does apply to these tools to help to maintain the lift of the skin. I always recommend the before picture, doing it for a week, and then seeing the after picture. Everyone I talk to notices a difference with it. Usually along the jawline. That's kind of the first place that we start to see a difference.
So yeah, that's the, that's the gua sha. Yeah, Francis, it seems like you had a question. Oh, yes. You
Customer: I had some interruptions while this was going on. Can you, to prevent overwhelm, for me anyway, can you give like just a basic good step one, step two, step three, whatever, without feeling like you're just, like, I mean, I'm just feeling overwhelmed with, oh my gosh, you know
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: I know it’s a lot of information.
Customer: just give a basic structure of what one could start with without getting overloaded?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Totally. So at the very basics, I would start with four products: your cleanser, your serum, or your toning mist, your serum, and your facial oil. Those four products. If you wanna go slimmer, I would recommend the cleanser and the oil. I really, really prefer that you have all four. I think the intention, you're gonna have the best result if your intention is to grow the routine. But that's the slimmest. I would recommend the cleanser and the oil. But the most bare bones to keep it clean. Cleanser, toning, mist, serum oil. And do, would it be helpful to, to speak to specific ones or does that feel like it cleans it up a little bit?
Customer: Well, I'm, I, I would love some recommendation. I'm 78 years old and I have reasonably decent skin, although I'm going to have a little Mohs surgery this week on my eyelid, which is going to require two surgeries. But in general, just kind of for the older set, what would, just give a basic.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah. Okay. So this would be a pretty basic routine. First step, Aloe Herb Cleanser. Second step, Botanical Hydration Mist. Third step, Wild Fruit Serum. And fourth step, Anti-Aging Facial Oil, as your final step.
Customer: perfect. I have a quick question. Yeah, you had mentioned, not to say when at the beginning, you know, washing your face like, let's say once a day in the evening, the rest of the products like the serum, the face the facial oil, the eye cream, is that like twice a day or how?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yep. Yep. So if you're opting to not wash your face in the morning, which I only recommend if you're, if you're kind of skin cell turnover has slowed down quite a bit and you're really, really dry I would still rinse your face with water and then finish your routine like normal. So your toning mist, your serum, your oil, all of that.
Okay. Perfect. Okay. We're right at times. I'm going to pop in the chat with our email address. Okay, let me spell it right for customer support.
