Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Oh, yay! Well, you figured it out. Here you are. Thank you. awesome. Cool. Okay, well, as we go along, if you have questions, or there's something that I didn't address, We can absolutely hit that.
So like I mentioned, we're going to be speaking to the four basic products of a just general routine. This is a pretty standard routine. We do this in the morning and the evening. You can go a little bit slimmer. You can of course go broader, but we're going to stick to the four at this point in time.
That includes your cleanser. your toning mist, your serum, and your facial oil, your facial oil being your moisturizer. So starting at the top, we're going to get into cleansers. Now your cleansing step might be fairly intuitive as far as why you're cleansing your skin. You're cleansing in the morning to really prep skin for your products, to wash off any sweat or excretion overnight.
Your body goes into this like a rest and repair cycle. So washing your skin in the morning is helpful. And then in the evening, it's also really, really important to be washing off the day. Unless you are pretty much staying in one room and moving very little, you're likely picking up things on your skin as you go throughout the day.
And it could be just dust. It could be dirt. It could be smog or environmental pollution. It could be sweat. It could be makeup, especially if you are somebody who regularly wears makeup. You're going to want to take that off at the end of the day.
So your cleansing step is a pretty crucial step for morning and evening. Now, I'll start with our most popular one. This is the Aloe Herb Cleanser And if you've tried the clean beauty trial kit, I think I saw a couple people had tried the clean beauty trial kit You've tried this one. This is a very tried and true cleanser. The consistency of it is very smooth. It's almost like lotion in its consistency. The feel is very smooth and soft, and the feel of the skin when you rinse it off is very balanced. This product has both coconut oil and aloe vera juice, but the ratio is such that the coconut oil is very low, and so you aren't left with the kind of coconut residue that you can sometimes experience with coconut oil.
So the feel is just nice and clean, nice and smooth, nice and soft, but not overly stripped. So there's a natural kind of balance to the skin that's left. This is also a really lovely scent. This has some citrus. It's got some lemon. There's also some lemon balm in here. And so it feels really good in the morning. This is a really good one for dry skin, for aging skin, and for sensitive skin. This is Likely my number one for really sensitive skin. So my guest mentioned that their skin is really red and really tender. This is likely going to be the one that is the best fit for you.
But for general signs of aging, so the appearance of fine lines kind of creasing, this can be along the side of the mouth or sides of the eyes. This cleanser is also really helpful to kind of support softening the appearance of those. the next cleanser, this one here, you'll notice that the packaging is different. This is a black label, whereas these have this tan label. These are different collections. This one, the Aloe Herb Cleanser, is part of the Signature Collection. The black label we call our Wild Alchemy Collection. The differences are largely that the Wild Alchemy collection includes more exotic ingredients, a more laborious craft process, and tends to be a little bit more focused in terms of addressing signs of aging. It's not always the case, and it's not necessarily better. That's a question I'll get from time to time, is the Wild Alchemy better? It's just different. But the formulations often are pretty, like, laser focused on specific signs of aging, which is true for this one.
So the Phytonutrient Cleanser, the consistency of this one's a little bit richer than the Aloe Herb Cleanser. One of the ingredients in this one is mango seed butter, and I think that really gives it this kind of, like, fatty bodied consistency. This also includes our signature serum blend. So all of our serums start with this aloe vera juice floral blend that we've included in this cleanser. The blend itself is particularly helpful for the appearance of fine lines. So softening the appearance, strengthening the skin, and just overall providing a smoother feel to the skin. The Phytonutrient Cleanser also has malic acid, and it's got a little bit of malic acid from apple extract, which can be helpful for fading the appearance of dark spots. So this cleanser is really good for more pronounced signs of aging. Dry skin, although dry sensitive, I would still stick with the aloe herb. But if you're just kind of like dry, normal dry, this is still a really good one for you. some sagging in the skin, creasing on the forehead or between the brow, this is a really good one.
And then the appearance of dark spots, so the appearance of dark spots. Sunspots, clogged pores, things like that, this can be helpful for. So yeah. Like I mentioned, dry sensitive aloe herb I think is still going to be your friend, but otherwise this is a good one. Now this next one is also in the Wild Alchemy collection. This is a really nice one.
This is the Restorative Cleansing Oil. It's Really good for super dry skin. So the blend of this is a blend of oils. A lot of times when you purchase an oil cleanser there are additional ingredients included so that it either kind of suds up when you add water or it rinses completely clean.
This one being just this pure blend of oils, it does still leave an oil residue behind. And for somebody who's really dry, really parched, just that customer that cannot get enough moisture, that's the desired effect. The feel of it is really, really nice on the skin. Now with all of the other cleansers, the application is wetting your fingers, wetting your face, massaging, you know, 30 seconds or so. With this particular cleanser, we recommend dry fingers on a dry face. I even suggest letting it sit on the skin for a minute to three minutes or so, really letting that seep into the skin and then coming in and rinsing with water. If you're someone who's kind of dry or dry combo or even dry normal, you might want a little bit of support in getting all of that to remove. So you may opt to come in with a subsequent cleanser or use a washcloth and just get it wet. So a warm wet washcloth is a really great way to kind of like gently wipe the face to remove the excess cleansing oil.
The final cleanser I'll speak to is this guy here. This is our Citrus Mint Cleanser. And so for my customers who had mentioned that their skin is oily or on the oily side, this one's going to be your friend. This one is a gel consistency and the blend includes these ingredients that really cut through oils.
So rosemary, peppermint, neem is included in this one. And then with that very like gel aloe vera base, it also really can cleanse a kind of cut through oil in a way that the other cleansers don't. I like this one, even if your skin is kind of like normal oily my skin type is, is normal and normal to dry.
But for clogged pores prone skin, this is a really ideal cleanser especially if you are clogged pores prone and Sensitive or not sensitive. Excuse me. I'm oily, clogged pores prone and oily. Yeah, this is a good one. I wouldn't recommend it for super sensitive skin. The rosemary and the peppermint can be aggravating if you're somebody who is prone to sensitivity. So this one's more for oily skin, more for clogged pores prone skin. Otherwise I would go with one of the others here.
What questions do we have about cleansers? They are pretty straightforward, but there are lots of things that can come up with it. So what are we wondering?
Grace – Annmarie Skin Care Marketing Assistant: There is one in the chat just asking a little bit about which kind of cleanser would be best for their skin type. But what is normal to dry? I'm aging and I have larger pores and dry areas between the eyebrows and the top of the lip. So I don't really know which one to try, the Aloe Herb Cleanser or Phytonutrient. I also am prone to having red skin.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So I would describe this skin type with the information that I have without touching it or anything like that is probably a more combination and a fairly specific combination. Now with the larger pores, I would probably, oh man, you can do either. So here's going to be your big differences. The Aloe Herb Cleanser is going to be a little bit softer and for these dry areas, this is probably what will support that.
If those areas are just kind of a little bit drier, but there isn't really much of a difference in texture, the Phytonutrient will likely be a pretty supportive one. And I think what this is going to come down to is like the degree of dryness of the skin because the Aloe Herb Cleanser is just like extra creamy, extra like, you know, moisturizing and the Phytonutrient Cleanser, it does still have good body to it, but it's just not quite as moisturizing as the Aloe Herb Cleanser.. So with that information, I hope that narrows it down a little bit with the larger pores. Either one of these is going to be fine. None of the products are going to be comedogenic. So you should be. You should be good there. The Phytonutrient is probably going to be a little bit better for skin you know, preventing future clogging, but either one can be good.
So hopefully that was helpful. Yeah, and with the aging concern, I think the Phytonutrient Cleanser could be good too. So, I don't know. Let me know. Was that helpful? Was that good? Thumbs up, maybe? Yeah, something like that.
Customer: How long do the bottles last?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Well, it depends on the size that you're getting.
I don't know whether you're investing in the smaller one or the larger one. The smaller one for me, I use the Aloe Herb Cleanser fairly religiously. Like I said, I'm using the citrus mint a little bit more often, but even that's like, only if I've been gardening for a couple hours and it's late. The 50 milliliter tends to last me a good three months, morning and evening, and this one will last me a little bit longer. But I would say this size, two to three months. This one, three to five, maybe six, but likely five if you're using that one morning and evening. This one, the oil cleanser, you use so little that this product actually lasts a really long time. Like even when I've gone through stretches, like deep winter, when it's really dry, I can go quite a while before I make a dent in this. It's because you don't need that much when you're applying for it. So that one goes quite a bit further. The amount that I use with the others is around, Three pumps. If I know I'm going to do my full neck and chest, I might do four, maybe five, but generally speaking, especially if I'm in the shower and my body's already wet, three pumps is pretty sufficient even to bring it down into the neck area.
So a little goes a long way and a little dampness on the skin can help to spread that a little bit easier too. Okay. cool.
Let's get into toning mists. So we have a couple toning mist options and honestly I feel like toning mists are one of the products that really sets our lane apart from other lines. All brands have cleansers, tons have serums, but our toning mists are really unique and what they're doing within the line is also really unique. Our toning mints are acting kind of like bursts of hydration and then they're really focusing in a certain area. So they might be controlling oil, they might be providing this kind of anti-aging effect that might be really soothing.
It depends on which one you go with. But they're also beneficial because all of our serums contain some variation of a humectant, and a humectant is an ingredient that basically, like, finds moisture, pulls it to it, and plumps up. So when you've got the toning mist on the skin whether it's dried enough or still a little bit damp, When you apply your serum, then there's this kind of like jump ahead as far as the plumpness that you get, and so it works really synergistically with the rest of the line as well. The toning mists also, I think, are kind of a game changer in how both the serum and the oil absorb into the skin. So anytime I'm working with a customer who's using our products and they're experiencing oil sitting on the surface, It's not really absorbing. They look kind of shiny, but they feel kind of dry using the Tony mist and integrating the Tony mist is like a great way to really shift the experience.
So the first one I'll get into is this one. This is the Neroli Toning Mist, and this is a classic. If you've known the brand for a while, you've probably, you know, at least been aware of this product. It's very simple.
The blend is aloe vera juice, neroli essential oil, and aspen bark. And it's very intentional. So the Aloe Vera juice provides this really soothing burst of hydration for the skin. And hydration is speaking to the amount of water in the lower layers of the skin. We differentiate hydration from moisture where hydration is speaking to water and kind of the lower layers where moisture is speaking to the oil or fatty layer up towards the surface.
And so you can have dry skin that is, you know, adequately hydrated. You can also have fairly balanced skin that is still a little bit dehydrated, and so it can get a little bit wonky, but a good way to know whether your skin is dehydrated is after you've cleaned your skin, don't do anything for a minute.
So let it mostly dry. It doesn't have to be like, you know, parched, but then just kind of take a finger and press up. On the side of the cheek. If you get these kind of crepey lines, you can really kind of see a striation that usually indicates that you need a little bit of support with the hydration of the skin. The neroli in here is also super supportive for the appearance of fine lines. This ingredient is very, very helpful for softening the appearance of the appearance of fine lines. So this is a great one for normal skin, normal to dry skin that's starting to see signs of aging. This is the one that I've been reaching for a lot lately.
I usually use a different one, which I'll speak to in a moment here, but yeah, normal aging, dry, dry, dry. I'd say it's normal to dry if you're super super dry. I've got another one. I think is a better a little bit of a better fit, but yeah this one and then the last ingredient in here the aspen bark is largely a suspension So it's used to keep the neroli and the aloe playing nicely together, but it does have a slight astringent property to it There's a really really small amount in here.So it's not stripping the skin. Your skin doesn't feel super dry or anything like that, So that's the Neroli Toning Mist.
The next one is part of the Wild Alchemy Collection, and that is this one here. This is the Botanical Hydration Mist with Immortelle. Now this is the one that I'm reaching for if I'm working with anybody who's sensitive, who's red, who's prone to dryness, or who's really dry, like pretty, pretty parched.
Whereas our other two toning mists start with a very simple aloe vera juice, this one starts with a blend of hydrosols. And hydrosols, what those are is they're like this watery runoff that happens when you create an essential oil via steam distillation. So the consistency is very smooth, very buttery. It's not so far as being oily, it doesn't have that much weight to it, but it's just a little bit of a boost of moisture. Moisture that the Vineroli and definitely the Rosemary don't quite have. We use it in this one, and both of these are really potent anti agers. Immortelle is also sometimes known as Helichrysum but it gets this name Immortelle because it's got this legend of being the flower of immortality.
And so that was definitely one we wanted to include. in this blend. And so that's kind of what makes it really great for super dry skin. But then we've also included in here this beautiful blend of chamomiles. We've got several different types of chamomiles and frankincense. And so for sensitive skin who, you know, my guests who mentioned that they have sensitive, dry, red, parched skin, this is also super supportive for this. If you are somebody who just, like, is irritated I also recommended this for, like, post, like treatment. So if you're somebody who sees a professional and gets more intense treatments, this is good. Grace, this is your go to. Do you want to speak to your experience with this?
Grace – Annmarie Skin Care Marketing Assistant: Totally. Oh, I love this product. I'm like, I'm one of those people where I carry it kind of like everywhere I have it in my gym bag and then I have one in my bathroom, of course and then sometimes if I know i'm gonna be out and about for a longer period of time I'll just put it in I have a little travel size of the neroli that I ran out of.
So now I put in a Botanical and bring it with me. Because I get dry super quickly and I have, you know, temporary redness and prone to sensitivities. There's just usually a lot going on. And so, like, if I eat something where my skin doesn’t like, I'll spray it. If I, after sweating for a while, my skin can get a little upset, so I'll spray it then too.
It's just really nice to have on hand to help soothe the skin. For any of those kinds of moments where I'm like, Oh, I just need a little something or like a little hydration or it's just truly like my little best friend in a spray bottle and the smell is just lovely. So yeah, that's an added bonus.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Thank you. Best friend in the spray bottle. What great, that's a very marketing, marketing angle. The scent of this one is also quite lovely. Neroli, it smells a lot like Neroli. But this one kind of has a floral, herbal blend with the chamomile and the florals in it. So it's still nice and light, but there's this beautiful kind of merger of those two scent profiles. This is the botanical hydration mist.
The last one is this one. This is the Rosemary Toning Mist. This is largely controlling oil on the skin. It still starts with an aloe vera juice base, but then we formulated it with rosemary, Neem, white willow bark, aspen bark, these ingredients that essentially, like, gobble up excess oil. And so this is a really nice one for oil prone skin, oily skin, but also really nice if you're someone who just gets shiny later in the day. Actually, a customer turned me on to this because we were talking about products and she has fairly dry skin, but she also keeps the rosemary toning mist around because late afternoon, she just feels really greasy and dewy. And nesting this on the skin is a really nice alternative to blotting paper or blotting powder because it still leaves a very healthy glow. It just absorbs the excess oil on the skin. And so you have this nice, beautiful, healthy finish
So this is, you know, you've got kind of two ways to go about it. If you're truly oily, this is for sure. The one that you will likely benefit from, but if you're also just someone who gets shiny, having this one on hand, you know, maybe in a makeup bag or on your desk at work, if you are someone who goes into the world to work that's, that's a good one for you too.
So cool. Any questions about the toners? Serums are next. I feel like serums are where lots of questions come up, but any questions about these so far? Okay, cool. We'll keep going. So serum wise, we've got a good amount of serums and with the wide array of skin needs, we're going to speak to all of them here.
Your serum step is this, it's usually your hydrating step. And so all of ours are starting with an aloe vera juice base. They're working on lower layers of the skin. And so serums also typically will be like your treatment step, the step that will have really active ingredients to be focused on a specific concern because they are getting into the skin in a way that some of the other steps don't quite do. The other thing about serums is all of ours are kind of focused in a certain direction. I think the most widely applicable is the anti aging, but everything else is very tailored for specific needs. And we'll go through all of them. I will start with our classic.
This is the Anti-Aging Serum. This is a beautiful blend. A big key ingredient in this one is hyaluronic acid and hyaluronic acid is a humectant and so it finds moisture and plumps up. The feel of it is very, very soft. Actually, I'll show you the consistency. So it's nice and smooth. It does have a little bit of an aqueousness to it. You can see it's kind of like running down my hand. The scent profile of the Anti-Aging Serum smells a lot like roses. It's not super perfumey. But rose is largely the scent that kind of carries through. And we do have a really lovely floral blend in this and the floral blend will include rose idol wise. These are the ones that are known to be the most popular. There's life everlasting flowers. There's florals that are known to. Both stave off and soften the appearance of the appearance of fine lines.
This one is quite popular. You'll notice there are two sizes available in this one. So we've got the 15 milliliter and the 30 milliliter. And we've launched the 30 milliliter because we were finding that the 15 milliliter had not just a high purchase rate, but a high repurchase rate. And what that indicated to us, of course, was that people were trying this, liking this and investing in it again and again. So it was a little bit more sustainable and cost effective to launch the larger one. So that is the only 1 at this point that's available in the 2 sizes. But that also speaks to the popularity of this one. This is a pretty, pretty popular one. I suspect that a large amount of the popularity is due to that hyaluronic acid because that's just such a quick lump to the skin, usually within a few days.
You can see a difference in the skin with the hyaluronic acid. So I think a lot of people return to it for that as well. Yeah, let's move on.
So the next one is this guy here. This is the Citrus Stem Cell Serum.
And this one, the consistency is pretty similar to the anti aging, so I'm not going to pump this one out too. I would say normal to dry skin. If you're normal to oily, I think that this next one's a little better for you, but normal skin is also good for anti-aging. The anti aging can be helpful for both softening the appearance of and also Staving off the appearance of fine lines. So the anti aging I think is quite popular, kind of like 30s, 40s, maybe mid 40s, 50s, like before you're starting to experience a more pronounced, you know, show of aging, you're just kind of slowing it down.
Anti-aging is a pretty, pretty good one for that. Now this one, the citrus stem cell, is really, really nice for skin that is experiencing sagging skin that is starting to see uneven skin tone of any kind.
I'm going to keep going along, but hopefully keep trying to address the questions. This one here, this is the Probiotic Serum with Tremella. Now this is a really good one for temporary redness and those types of concerns. I know one or two people mentioned that they have that kind of issue that they're working with.
This can also be good for helping with oily prone skin. My skin type when I started here back, you know, 2018, was way more oily and large pore prone. And this was kind of my go to all the time. And what's really cool about this one is it includes both an olive leaf ferment and a probiotic complex. And so the combination of these, it kind of, Feeds the good bacteria, well, not really interacting with the bad bacteria.
So it's bringing skin back into this like balanced place. So when you're experiencing any kind of, you know, skin being thrown off for whatever reason, whether that's large pores, whether that's aging, menopause is one that can throw skin off. This is a really nice one to help to really soothe your skin. It does utilize the tremella mushroom and the tremella mushroom is quite similar to hyaluronic acid. It's like skin plumper. So it pulls moisture and expands. And then this kind of bevy of skin soothers. And the consistency of this one, again, is similar to the anti aging. I'm not gonna pump it out. It's kind of the same consistency. This one I'll note, because of the tremella mushroom, it has one of the earthiest scent profiles. Everything that we have is very, very lovely, and the scent is just gorgeous.
And this one is too, it does have kind of a nice floral edge to it, but you do get a little bit of the mushroom in the scent of it. And every once in a while for somebody, that's not what they want, so I do want to call it out in case you don't think you'd like that.
Now the next three serums are part of the Wild Alchemy Collection. So this one, this is our Wild Fruit Serum. This one is a pretty wide array of concerns that it's addressing. We do have uva ursi in here so we've got a very specific skin brightener. We also have an ingredient called kakadu plum, which is super vitamin C. Vitamin C rich and vitamin C is helpful for brightening the skin. It works in a different way. It's kind of evening the overall look of the skin. So it's like a different angle of addressing darkened areas of the face. This also has stem cells in it. So like the citrus stem cell, it's got the stem cells in it. And it's got a good amount of hyaluronic acid. So this is one that we'll typically reach for if we're working with somebody who's got more pronounced signs of aging or is really looking to address.
Like super like broad signs of aging. So they are looking to tighten their look, and they've got the appearance of dark spots. Or they've got more pronounced lines, and they've got some sun damage on their face. The Wild Fruit Serum tends to address that. There's a lot in a little bottle here. This is another one that's really popular. And so I, for a while, had the intention to launch a 30 milliliter, a larger bottle size. I think that project's kind of shifted around a little bit, but I do want to offer that just to speak to this one has a high repurchase rate as well. So the anti aging has one and then This also has one the next product.
I'll speak pretty briefly because I want to get to the last one. This is the Activated CBD Serum. CBD is super interesting. CBD is kind of like this triage ingredient. It tends to go where it's needed. And your body can kind of sense areas that are breaking down. And so when you're incorporating CBD, CBD tends to find the areas that are breaking down. The blend of this one is also really rich. So it's got this beautiful and so that makes it really, really nice for super, super dry skin. I've noticed this trend lately, and I don't know if this has been a marketing push, but I've had several customers who formerly were very into the Anti-Aging Serum, who they've kind of shifted gears, and they're, they're quite into this one. Now, this one, when you're shopping for it, a couple of things to call out. When you click it, you click the little, you know, the page it, It'll show as sold out. It's not. What it actually is going to do is it's going to take you to a separate site where you'll be able to purchase and get the product to you from that site.
Then that separate site is essentially how we are able to kind of get around how we can legally sell a CBD product in the U. S. There's a little bit of hoops that we jump through. And on that note, unfortunately this is only available in the U. S. We are able to ship this over our borders at this point. So if you're joining us from somewhere internationally or Canada, I, we cannot ship it directly from our site.
Now this one, this is the Activated Night Serum, and I wanted to get to this one because there's, like, almost every concern that's been addressed here, this can be supported for. This one incorporates our bioactive A complex. Yay. I see you got it. Yeah. I love that. The bioactive A-complex is a really cool ingredient because it's essentially a retinal alternative.
We were first, when we, when we launched it, we actually launched it first as part of this set. It's, it's the, Revitalize as part of these are Concentrated Boosting Elixirs. But when we were preparing to launch it, we really wanted an ingredient that offered the retinol effect that was actually safe. And so at the time, our COO was pregnant and it really opened up this, like, deeper discussion of like, are, is it ever safe to use a product that you wouldn't use? on a, you know, a developing baby, like why would you put that in on your body, near your body? And so we really kind of went down the rabbit hole of retinal research and came across this ingredient, the bioactive A. Now bioactive A is a certified made safe ingredient, and I didn't get into this in the beginning, and I usually do, but made safe is a third party Certification process that tests ingredients and products to verify that they are actually clean. They are actually safe. They've got a list of upwards of 8000 toxins, anything from metals to carcinogens to whatever else they've got that they make sure are avoided in products. And this particular ingredient, the bioactive A was, it was one we were able to find and verify is a made safe ingredient. And so this product, the Activated Night Serum, is a great, like integration into the line because you're getting this very exfoliated effect. The bioactivate still provides that smooth, lifted, very taut feel to the skin, but it also is formulated in this very creamy, very smooth blend. The feel of it, I'll see if I can show you the consistency here. So it's, it's just thicker. It's not going to run down my hand the same way the other serums do. And the blend of that is intentional because this is designed for overnight wear largely because of the bioactive A, it still increases photosensitivity. You can, you can burn with it. So. Don't do it during the day. I have customers who are like, but if I just do this, or if I just do this, but you can, but you just don't need the formulation also with that really rich creaminess. is this immediate replenishment for the exfoliation that happens with the bioactive A.
So you get this really quick nourishment, this really full bodied feel while still exfoliating the skin. So a skin type like mine that's normal, normal to dry, I sometimes, like about four days in, notice that my skin's a little bit pink and I take a few days off. But I never experienced it. Tightness, dryness, any of that, just because the formulation is so nourishing as it's exfoliating the skin.
And so it works both overnight because we're avoiding the sun, but then it's also working with that rest and repair cycle to just really soften and smooth out the skin. So this can be helpful for lines. This can be super helpful for essentially exfoliating the skin and smoothing out the appearance of some lines on the skin.
It's not overly slippery or soft or anything like that. And so this is a really nice one to incorporate into the routine to just offer additional exfoliation. And on the clogged pores note, let's say you're, you're, you're hearing this and you're like, I just don't know the creamy texture may not be for me.
The other set, so this is the Concentrated Boosting Elixirs set. And for the sake of time, I'm not going to get into all of them, but one of them is a concentrated amount of the bioactive A complex and so you also have the option, let's say you don't want to do the Activated Night Serum, so you can invest in the concentrated boosting elixirs and really turn any serum into this night serum with this super activated Bioactivate, the concentrated amount of bioactivate in it.
Hopefully this is clear. I feel like I'm talking quite fast because I want to be mindful of our time, but we also with this one, just to call it out as we're going, going along here, are doing sweepstakes if you purchase this guy. So any purchase of the Activated Night Serum will enter you into the sweepstakes.
So if you purchase one, you're entered once. If you purchase. Three times you're entered three times, even if it's all in the same order. And that sweepstakes is for, there's kind of a tiered prize, but one could be a year's worth of product. So a year, a full year supply of product, which of course would be awesome.
So Yeah, there's that too. And you don't have to do anything just for making the purchase. Your information, your email, your name has been entered. So, no stress. You don't have to do any additional steps there. So these are serums. And let's pause here before we get into oils and see if any questions have come up about these.
Grace – Annmarie Skin Care Marketing Assistant: There is one in the chat. If you could kind of just dive deep into kind of layering products on top of each other. So for instance, when do I use the Wild Fruit Serum under or over Anti-Aging Serum or oil? What to mix the elixirs with? I have quite a few Annmarie products. It's just getting a little overwhelming the more they get.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So, which is totally fair. So yeah, a little bit. Cool. Yeah. Let's get into that. So how we're layering these, the kind of routine that we're doing with these, your cleanser, hopefully it's pretty straightforward. You're wetting your fingers and your face, massaging it, rinsing it off. Then you're coming in with your toning mist and you can, you mist skin.
I leave my skin damp. And then apply my serum. You don't have to, but I recommend trying it. I do think it makes a difference in the way it absorbs. With the serums, now all of the serums kind of hold the serum spot. I don't typically recommend mixing the serums with each other, and I also don't typically recommend necessarily layering them.
Technically, you probably could. You could do like the citrus stem cell on dark areas of the face and maybe like, anti aging on the rest of the face. But aside from that, I typically don't suggest layering them. I would likely alternate them. So if you have three serums, you might pick two for a period of time and use one in the morning and one in the evening or something like that. Or you might find that as your skin changes with the seasons, you've got one that you prefer in the summer and one that you prefer in the evening. No, in the winter. I said evening because I was thinking of the Activated Night Serum, of course. That one lives at nighttime. We do that one in the evening. But even with this one, I am not able to use this every single night. Like I mentioned, I get about four nights in, and then I'd need to take a break. I can tell that my skin's just a little bit thin. And so I take a few nights off. So you might have three that you're kind of interchanging in that dance that way. Now the concentrated boosting elixirs, I said I wasn't going to get into them, but I lied. These were mixed into your serum or your oil. Now I usually suggest doing it in your serum because your serum is so close to the skin and these are so concentrated. This is a really targeted way to get the effect of them. And how I do that. I will take my serum. I'm not going to actually do it because I don't, I don't want to, but I do, you know, three, two, three pumps of the serum in the palm of my hand. And then I will take whichever concentrated boosting elixir and just to recap, the hydrate, which is the hyaluronic acid, can be used morning or evening, the revitalize, just evening, for the same reasons as the Activated Night Serum, and the brighten, because the brighten And the revitalize kind of cancel each other out tends to be what you use in the morning.
So let's say we're doing it in the morning. I might do two drops of Brighton and a drop of hydrate in the palm of my hand. Gently mix it. Dot my face. If I'm doing it in the evening, I might do three drops of revitalization because I'm really boosting my product, applying and moving on. Like I mentioned, technically you can put these into an oil but I prefer the serum. Technically you can put them into a mask, but I feel like the price point of these is really high to put them on and then rinse them off. So you've got that information, you can do with it what you will, but serum is typically what I suggest. And then from there. We come in with your facial oil. Now, in between, if you don't have to wait for everything to dry, I usually do my routine pretty quickly. And so I mist skin, I'll do, I often only do the concentrated boosting elixirs in the evening. I have two small kids, and so it just, time wise in the morning, is the best. Just an extra step, so I'll do my serum in the morning in the evening I'll do the serum, boosting elixirs, apply, and then the oil and the oil, which we haven't spoken to the differences in these yet, but we will momentarily here I do about one single pump, and I put it in the palm of my hand, and then I kind of just dot my cheeks, my forehead, and my chin, and then come in and apply it. Just gently massage anything that's left over. I bring it onto my neck and my chest like that. Now the oils you can kind of mix and that might make more sense as I we kind of talk about them Pull out the ones I want to talk about Yeah, we'll do these because the, these function a little bit differently and so you can kind of dilute one if you've got a couple of different oils, you can kind of combine them. They are, yeah, working differently on the skin.
So let's get into oils and then how you might mix them, then briefly eye creams and then we'll pause. We'll do a coupon code, which Grace will support us a lot for. And then we'll see what other questions we have. And I think that'll get us right to time. So. Speaking of facial oils, facial oil is what we use as a moisturizer. We are not morally opposed to creams or lotions. There certainly are good ones that exist and a little background or, you know, insider info. We're actually preparing to launch one. It's not launching till the end of the year. So we've got a little bit of time, but what's been the journey for us? And the challenge is coming up with a cream that actually upheld the brand values and had a long enough shelf life to be worth making, you know, making a bulk batch for. So for now we've got oils and the oils are quite sufficient. One of the things we really love about oils is. Your body recognizes oil as a form of moisture, so they're pretty bioavailable you're, there's a lot of like, recognizability, especially because our oils are nice and clean, and we've got really clean a clean blends here, so your body kind of knows what to do with it, and so the effect also is this really natural glow whether you're in your 80s, whether you're in your 20s, there's just this really healthy, like, vibrant look to the skin utilizing facial oils.
The first one we'll get into is this guy here. This is the Anti-Aging Facial Oil. Again, this is a very classic tried and true one. So we've got the two sizes, the 15 and the 30 milliliter. This one is the richest of the oils. So it starts with a golden jojoba. Jojoba matches or mimics skin's natural oil really closely. So the feel of it on the skin is absolutely divine. I actually usually use this one, but now that we're shifting seasons, I'm kind of trying to figure out which one is my next, my next go to, cause it's a little too rich for my skin. But the weight of it, the feel of it is great. Gorgeous. So this is really good for dry skin.
This is really good for aging skin. The blend of this, we start with the jojoba and we steep at a low heat broccoli seed, goji berry plantain, these plants and herbs and seeds, essentially, that help to nourish and strengthen the skin. It's this very restorative oil. So with time, there's this additional healthy look and feel to the skin. It is part of the Signature Collection, as you can kind of tell by the label there. Also in that collection, another one we've got is this one. This is the Herbal Facial Oil for Sensitive Skin. This one is, as the name suggests, awesome for skin that gets irritated. The blend is super simple. It's a little bit lighter. It's a grapeseed oil but just a touch lighter. And then we've stepped it with these herbs and florals that help to soothe irritated skin. So skin that's red, skin that's, you know and it's really, really, really helps to calm it down. This is a good one. So as we're talking about the products, if you're wanting to dilute or thin out another product, let's say you've got the anti aging and it's just like a touch too rich.
Because this one is so neutral, this is a nice one to have. And the price point of this one is nice and low. I think it's 43. It's like around the 40, 45, something like that. So comparatively to some of the others, and so if you've got one that you're even just trying to extend a little bit, this can be a good one to incorporate, either doing like a little half pump or using it in the morning versus the evening or something like that.
The next one here is the Herbal Facial Oil for Oily Skin. This one, as the name suggests, is designed for oily skin, but it's also awesome for blemishes. The blend of this one is a really light oil, so it's a hazelnut oil. Hazelnut, there's a little bit of grapeseed, but it's largely hazelnut. That's been steeped with these herbs that are super, super soothing to the skin, and that really kind of gobble up oil. And so this one, anymore, what I use it for is if I have a clogged pores. So like, let's say I have a little hormonal clogged pores. I'll apply for it in the evening. I don't put oil on before it. So this is the one, you know, this is the oil that I'm using in that area. I go to sleep. The redness is, you know, largely reduced.
The size and swelling is largely reduced. This is also a really good one. If you are really struggling with pore size. One of the ingredients in here is bitter orange leaf and bitter orange leaf is a weird ingredient because it actually helps to kind of break down what is impacting a pore. So if you're someone who's dry but you feel like you've got a lot of blackheads or your pores are so huge it can be helpful to use this one even for a short time in those impacted areas which typically tend to be like the tops of the nose maybe the like along the sides of the lips.
Those areas there but as far as clogged pores and oily skin, this is of course a really good one. And then the final oil I'll speak to is this guy here. This is our Rejuvenating Facial Oil. This is another one that a lot of people dilute and I'll get into why because it's more than just extending the life of it and, you know, getting more bang for your buck and all that.
With all of the other oils, we start with our anchor oil, we steep them with whatever herbs or plants or whatever direction we're going. And then we strain it and then we bottle it. There's a little, there's a, there are a couple more steps involved, but that's kind of the high level. What we do with this one and what has been attributed to the price point and the potency of this one. This is the knockout product. We still steeped it. So we took a golden jojoba, organic golden jojoba. We steeped these herbs into it, but then after we've strained it, we've added active ingredients directly into the blend. So blue tan seed, black cume, and seed butterfly pea flour. All of these have been kind of crafted into this to kind of up level the potency of our facial oil.
And that was the intention when we were preparing to launch this one was that we wanted to have a facial oil that was basically as active as we could make it in terms of addressing the appearance of fine lines, in terms of addressing drooping, in terms of addressing the appearance of dark spots, all of the very common aging concerns.
In a pretty laser focused way that could still be worn daily, right? So that was the dance we were doing. We didn't want it to be so intense that it was uncomfortable. Even so, because of the intensity, because of the high antioxidant component in this one, it can be one that activates some people's skin. And that usually looks like small clogged pores in thin skinned areas. So like, Tops of the nose, sides of the nose, around the lip, maybe even the chin. They're usually like little white bumps and they usually fade within about two weeks. Anything longer than two weeks are really, we might be looking at an actual reaction. But it's, there's kind of this adjustment period with the intensity of this one. But because of that, there are some people who are just a little on the too intense side for their skin. And so they might opt. to alternate it or to do where it is? A pump of like a half a pump of the anti aging and a half a pump of the rejuvenating. Or if your skin's like normal, you might do a half a pump of the sensitive oil, wherever that one is, this one, and then half a pump of this one. The facial oils you really don't need very much. I usually don't use more than two pumps and two pumps is like my full neck. I will do a pump and then I will, like I said, kind of dot my cheeks, forehead, and chin.
If I'm doing a gua sha treatment, which is this, we have two gua sha options, our newest model being the Nephrite Gua Sha. And If you're curious, if you go to the website, you can see quick, like a quick tutorial on the product pages for these. But these are super helpful tools for almost everything like muscle training, fascia training for lifting the skin.
So a couple of people had mentioned that they're experiencing some sagging or starting to notice sagging. These are game changers, hands down. This one's a little bit more simple. It's like, if you're a beginner, it's really a good one to start with. This one (Nephrite), this is a custom design for our brand that's got a lot of wild details.
We've got this kind of lip here. We've got this comb, so you can actually kind of feather out along creasing and like the smile lines. But either one of them is going to be really great along the jawline. Anytime someone is doing this, I recommend that they take a before picture. But to swing it back to oils, if you're doing that, obviously you're going to use a little bit more oil.You want a medium for these, and they need a little bit of a slip. So you might do two pumps depending on your skin. Now, real briefly, I'm going to speak to the eye products, and then we're going to do a coupon, and then we're going to answer questions.
So, This guy here, this is our Fruit Ceramide Eye Serum. Now the consistency of this is just like a serum. It's nice and thin, very, very like light. Where this goes in your routine is right before your facial serum. So you've cleansed, you've misted, you'd apply this. And then your facial serum. This one is best for more pronounced lines around the eyes. So, like, deeper crow's feet, a more, yeah, pronounced expression line things like that. The ingredients in this are ceramides, it's peptides, it's just very renewing. This can also be utilized in essentially any thin skinned area. So it's marketed as an eye product, but you can also put it along the top of the lip. If you're somebody who might have lines, you know, increasing on the top of the lip, you can use it kind of in the corners of the mouth.
I wouldn't go too far into the face, but where you're starting to see some smile lines is usually good. And, and all of those areas. This, this will be fine for, you don't need very much. I usually do like maybe half a pea. That's kind of a generous amount. And then I'll pat my ring fingers together and pat it around. You technically can use this as a 360 eye cream. But for what it is focusing on, I tend to just keep it around the outer corner.
The next one, this guy here, is The Anti-Aging Eye Cream. And this is kind of like top tier creme de la creme. I actually started using this product before I even worked for the brand way back in the day.
I was using, you know, just a myriad of not super clean skin care. And this was one that I was like, so wowed by, and so I continually invested in it. But a couple of ingredients really helped this one stand out. So CoQ10 is awesome for plumping some kind of softening the appearance of fine lines. There are stem cells in here. So this is helpful if you're starting to notice drooping around the eye area. It's very, very nourishing, very, very soft. And so dry areas on the face are good. This one too. And then cucumber distillate and cucumber distillate is really helpful for puffiness under the eyes. So I swear by this one for puffiness. I know I always say it, but it's like, if I missed a couple days, I notice it just so so good for that.
Okay. And then. Since I have the chat open, I do see the question here. If I could only buy two products, what would you suggest? Ooh a cleanser and an oil and. It's hard to just narrow it down to those two, but a cleanser and an oil, and which ones would, you know, hopefully we've provided enough information that you could narrow it down from there, but a cleanser and an oil would be what I would do for you here.
Perfect. Okay, any other questions about anything? We've got time, so you can put it in the chat. I'm on the chat now, or you can put it in the chat. You can come up and you hang out with it.
Customer: Okay. I have a question. So when I'm looking at the serums, between them all, I just want to make sure they are like the CBD serum versus the probiotic serum. Those are the two I'm thinking of with my skin, because I have a little bit of redness. And I have the, the dry between here and the dry between here.
Gotcha.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah.
Customer: Well, which serum do you think of all of them would be best?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So with the dry, the dry areas, either of them are good. I think that the probiotic serum is a little bit better for balancing the skin and the CBD is a little bit better for nourishing, providing moisture. It is helping to restore the skin and it is good for sensitive skin too.
But I think the probiotic might be a little better for you with what you described, especially with the redness. I think that their probiotics would be good. Yeah. .
Customer: Okay. And then the last thing, the oils.
Mm-Hmm. Rejuvenating facial or anti-aging. Which one?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: I would say anti-aging. Okay. Yeah. With the, as you've described, kind of a propensity for redness or irritation, I would suspect that the rejuvenating might be a little bit intense for you. It, you could, it could be doable, but. I don't think you're going wrong with anti-aging.
And the anti aging is a little bit additionally moisturizing in a way that the rejuvenating is kind of, is not quite as rich. So I think it's anti-aging for you.
Customer: Okay. Okay. This has been really helpful.
Kate – Activated Night SerumSkin Care In-House Esthetician: Good. Yay. Yay. Let's see what else is in the chat. Okay, a couple other things in the product for sunspots, for uneven skin tone, citrus stem cell theorem or wild fruit, citrus stem cell or wild fruit. Citrus stem cells are pretty focused. So this is addressing the appearance of dark spots. Wild fruit is going to be addressing the appearance of dark spots and then several other things. So if you are looking to tighten and firm your look, help dry dehydrated skin and the overall tone but for pretty targeted, you know, if you know that sunspots are your big concern, you're probably fine with this one the citrus stem cell. And so I would Well, I would say one of those two. One of those two for you. Let's see what else.
Customer: Okay. Oh, one more question. When are the sweepstakes going to happen?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: The end of summer. And I don't remember if that's the end of July or the end of August. So it goes on for a couple months. And I don't know if you're asking because you already have the Activated Night Serum and you don't need it anytime soon.
But I don't remember off the top of my head whether it's the end of. August or end of July. So one of those two.
Customer: Okay, great. Thank you.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, and I'm sure on the website, we've got a, like a banner that if you go to the site, you can click on it. And there's going to be a ton of legal information and all the information there.
