Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So that's kind of a little bit about us. And then from there, usually we'll jump into the product line. We recommend a basic four-step routine. That's just our general recommendation. And you would do that routine both morning and evening. So that routine would consist of cleansing, using a toner, and then a serum and a facial oil. And that's just the general recommendation. I usually tell people it's nice to just really customize, kind of find what works best for your skin, what works best for your lifestyle, etc.
Maybe you're somebody who currently has no routine. You're probably not going to jump into a six-step routine that takes you 30 minutes morning and evening and be really consistent with it. And that's totally fine. I would say the most basic routine that you would want to have, the most kind of pared-down routine would be just the cleanser and the facial oil. And then you could always add and build from there.
But I'll pause there and see, does anybody want to share a little bit about why you joined, what you're looking to learn, what kind of routine you're looking for, skin concerns that you're looking to address, anything like that?
You don't have to if you don't want to.
Customer: Emily, I just wanted to say it's nice to meet you. Most of the calls I've been on have been with Kate.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Oh, yeah. Kate is our other in-house esthetician. She usually does Tuesdays and Thursdays and I do Wednesdays.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Cool, yeah, so you're joining again. Are there any specific things that you’re looking to learn that weren’t covered in the other consult that you attended or specific questions you have?
Customer: Yeah, I have a couple of basic questions. So sometimes I get the text saying oops, we made too much come buy, well this time I bought some extra cleanser and I realized it actually has in the text underneath the products that there's an expiration date, use by so and so and I'm like I'm not going to be able to use all this stuff by the end of November.
So is that date hard and fast? Like it just doesn't work anymore after that? Or is there some kind of standard deviation plus or minus? I can get a couple more months out of it or what?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, I would say you can definitely use it a little bit longer. To be honest, the company sends us products all the time that are past the expiration date and we still use them. Usually, they’re fine for a while after the date, especially if you're storing them properly, away from direct sunlight, heat, etc. You could even, if you stock up, you could even keep the products in your fridge to extend the shelf life.
Customer: And then another general question I heard about the, I don't know if it's the right word, but the regeneration your skin goes through, is it 30 days or something? That's what Kate said. I think if you're over 60, or 65, that probably is a little bit longer, right?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, it does start to slow down. So that's kind of why we recommend, I mean, we pretty much recommend incorporating some type of exfoliation for everyone into your routine, but it can be even more important as you get older, to incorporate some type of exfoliant into the routine to kind of help with that renewal process.
Customer: Okay, but so basically the skin cycle may be longer than 30 days, if you are older? Because Kate said that if you're using a product, you're going to need to, it's going to be 30 days probably before you start seeing any results.
She was talking specifically about the Citrus Stem Cell Serum. That's the one I'm talking about specifically. Because I had this like drooping right here that I am working on.
And so I've been using this serum every day for 30 days and not seeing a change. So I'm like, okay, let me try another 30 days. So that was the one specifically that Kate said would be good for me to use because it'll help plump up the skin. But I haven't really seen that yet.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. Yeah. I mean, I would say after a month or so, you should start to see some results.
But I think too, especially with something like sagging skin we have to be realistic about the results that we are able to achieve with product use. I do believe that if you're being really consistent and, you know, using them properly, I think that you can see great results but it’s not the same result that you get from getting Botox or fillers or something like that, not that I am recommending that of course! Just saying to keep expectations realistic.
But yeah, you could give it, you know, give it another 30 days and see how you feel, see what kind of result you are seeing.
Another product, I'm sure Kate probably mentioned it already, that can be really helpful for signs of aging would be the Activated Night Serum.
Customer: Yeah, I have that one.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Oh, you do? Okay, great.
Customer: I actually use that with the citrus. I just do one drop of the citrus serum. I'm assuming that's all I should use?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah. Like one pump?
Customer: One pump, yeah. Sorry, one pump.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: I was like, one drop? That doesn't seem like much. Ha.
Customer: I was thinking of the travel size one with the dropper top.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: That makes sense. So are you using the Citrus Stem Cell in the morning and the Activated Night Serum at night?
Customer: No, I sent, when I did the form, I probably sent it too late for you to see. I have a whole list of stuff, and I don't want to take up all the time talking about myself but I thought I was supposed to use the Rejuvenating at night and the Citrus Stem at night, but maybe I'm using it at the wrong time of the day.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Well, so the Citrus Stem Cell Serum, you could use morning and night, but if you have the Activated Night Serum, then I recommend using the Citrus Stem Cell Serum in the morning and the Activated Night Serum at night.
Customer: Okay. And then I also have the Wild Fruit Serum and the Anti-Aging Facial Oil.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay. So the Wild Fruit Serum you could alternate that one with the Citrus Stem Cell. And always do the Activated Night Serum at night.
And it kind of just depends on your skin, with the Activated Night Serum. Some people can use that one daily and it feels fine and good for them. If you are a bit more sensitive you might want to use it every other night. Or you can also try using it for a couple of weeks consistently and then take a week off. I always recommend just giving it a try, kind of playing around with it, and seeing how your skin feels.
Customer: So I misspoke. I don't have the Activated Night Serum. I have the Rejuvenating Facial Oil, but it's almost gone. So I guess I should replace it with the Activated Night Serum.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: You have the Rejuvenating Facial Oil?
Customer: Yes. So, I was doing that at night with the Citrus Stem Cell. But it sounds like I should get the Activated Night Serum and use the citrus stem in the morning, but which oil should I use at night?
Could I keep using the rejuvenating?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yes, the Rejuvenating Facial Oil is beautiful.
I think maybe let's clarify because the serum and the oil are different.
So you could use, if you got the Activated Night Serum, you would use it at night and then also the Rejuvenating Facial Oil at night on top of the Activated Night Serum.
Does that make sense?
Customer: Yes.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So let’s talk about the Activated Night Serum for a minute. It’s this one here. This product is a newer product of ours and it's really excellent for addressing signs of aging. It has our retinol alternative in it, so we don't use any traditional, conventional retinol.
They tend to be not great for your health, they can be harmful to reproductive health. Also for your skin health, if you're using a conventional retinol over an extended period of time, it can start to thin the skin a bit which really isn't what we want as we age. We don't want to thin the skin. We want to have really healthy, resilient skin. We want to support our skin's natural barrier. So we've used a retinol alternative in this product. It's our bioactive A-Complex. And so it gives a similar result to retinol. It has that renewing, resurfacing effect on the skin. But it's, it's more gentle, it's not irritating.
It's derived from algae, so it's a completely safe ingredient. It's a Made Safe approved ingredient. And then there's also a lot of really soothing and calming ingredients in here. There's lavender and there's blue chamomile.
It's like this nice kind of thicker, creamier texture. So it feels very hydrating on the skin. So this one is excellent for addressing signs of aging. And it smells fantastic.
Customer: The Anti-Aging Oil. That's good to use for daytime?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, you can use that day or night. Same with the Rejuvenating. This product in particular, the Activated Night Serum, that one you only want to use at night and use it with an SPF during the day as well. Because it can make you a little more sensitive to the sun with that bioactive A complex in there.
Customer: Okay. All right. Thank you.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, of course. Excellent questions. It's so much more fun people ask questions. Did anyone else want to share any questions or anything about your skin or kind of what you're looking for, what you are wanting to get out of this call?
Customer: Well, I don't really have a routine right now. I do have a product that I use that is a cleanser and then I have a light lotion that I've been using, but I got out of my regular routine several years ago and I've never really gotten a product that I like as much as what I used to have and then I got the sample of your product and I've been using that and I really liked it, the little sample products that I've gotten from you.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Good. So you got the Clean Beauty Trial Kit?
Does it have that Aloe Herb Cleanser, Anti-Aging Serum, and Anti-Aging Oil, or is it the serum trio?
Customer: It has the oil, and it has a cleanser, and it has one little serum.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay, great. That's a good place to start.
That's our Clean Beauty Trial. A lot of people start with that. So that one's got our Aloe Herb Cleanser in there. The Aloe Herb Cleanser is our best-selling cleanser. People love that one. It really is great for all skin types. I usually tell people if they are confused or overwhelmed or not sure where to start that Aloe Herb can be a good choice. Because again, it's good for all skin types. It's a creamy, nourishing cleanser. It's got some coconut oil in there. There's some lemon essential oil, so it smells really lovely. Calendula, so it's nice and soothing if you tend to be more sensitive. So that's a great one to start with and then the Anti-Aging Serum that's in there too. That one is our best-selling serum, people love that one as well.
And that one again, I kind of tell people if you don't really know where to start, that can be a good one to use. It's very hydrating. It has hyaluronic acid in it. So hyaluronic is a humectant that binds water to the skin. Hyaluronic in particular holds 1,000 times its weight in water. So it's considered a super hydrator.
And so really deeply hydrating the skin is going to kind of have a plumping effect on the skin, helping to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. And then that one is also really rich in antioxidants. It's got buddleja extract. It's got life everlasting flowers. There's some rose in there. So soothing and nurturing as well. That one, the scent profile is more floral. You can kind of see the vetiver in that one. But like I said it is very popular. And then the Anti-Aging Facial Oil, the teeny, teeny, tiny one that comes in that kit. That one is the oil, it's your moisturizer.
All of our facial moisturizers are oils. Oils are more pure. They don't require any fillers or waxes to be used. They also are really easily absorbed by the skin. Your skin's natural form of moisture is oil, so they're readily absorbed by the skin.
And the Anti-Aging Facial Oil is a very popular product too. One of our bestsellers. It's a very nourishing, restorative facial oil, so it's great for dry and mature skin types. It's a jojoba oil base, so jojoba really closely resembles the texture of your skin's natural sebum. So jojoba's a great choice for drier skin types.
I actually think it's a great choice for everybody. I love jojoba oil. So that's the Anti-Aging Facial Oil. And so that's a great basic routine to start with the cleanser, the serum, the oil. And then, like I said, you can kind of build from there.
You might want to add a toning mist. The Neroli Toning Mist is a really popular one. Again, I think partly because it smells so lovely. And that toning mist is a pretty simple formula. It's an aloe vera juice base, the neroli essential oil, and then some aspen bark extract which is a natural source of salicins, it helps to preserve the product as well.
And so the toning mist is just providing a dose of hydration and skin-supporting nutrients and then it's helping with product absorption too.
So, for our toning mists, the packaging says that you should cleanse your face, pat your skin dry, mist your toning mist, let it dry, and then apply your serum and oil. Which you absolutely can do if you like to do that. I always recommend people apply their serum and oil when skin is still slightly damp from the toning mist just to help with absorption. It helps the products to absorb really nicely so they never feel like they're just kind of sitting on the skin, you know?
And then your toning mist, you can use it throughout the day if you want to, if you just want like a boost of hydration or kind of a little pick me up, it's perfect for that. But yeah, that Neroli is a really popular one, a great choice for, you know, kind of normal to dry skin. So you could always add in there if you wanted to.
What other questions do we have?
Customer: Yes. Can you hear me?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah
Customer: Oh, okay. I wasn't sure if my microphone was on.
Customer: Unfortunately, I'm very stressed financially. So when something maybe is really on sale, I'll be able to try it. But I do, I believe I have the trio. But with so many things going on in my life lately I haven't even had a chance to try it. But I'm anxious to try it, especially now after hearing you talk about the products. It’s very interesting. And I love the fact that they're pure and have so many botanicals and herbs and good things in them.
The thing that bothers me the most are the wrinkles around my mouth. So probably the Rejuvenating one would be good for that?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah. So the little trial kit that you have, do you have the same one with the cleanser, the serum, and the oil?
Customer: Yes, I think so.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Perfect. So that's a great place to start. In that kit you have Anti-Aging Serum and the Anti-Aging Facial Oil, both are excellent. Eventually if you wanted to add in the Activated Night Serum that we were talking about earlier, that can be a really good one for addressing those fine lines and wrinkles.
And then what else was I going to say? Oh, yes. Make sure that you sign up for our emails if you aren’t already because we do offer sales and discounts often. Sometimes with the “we made too much sales” you can get things at really steep discounts.
And then we also have our Essentials Collection, which Grace could link into the chat. The Essentials Collection, it's just two products. It's the Renew Facial Cream Cleanser and the Radiate Oil. And these two products are actually offered at a lower price point than any of our other products. And the reason for that is just because they're really simple formulas. They don't contain our herb infusions. But they're still really nice products. Grace and I both really like the Radiate Facial Oil. So they are still great products. So that could be another thing that you could check out if cost is a concern.
Customer: Okay. And what was the name of those again?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: It's the Essentials Collection.
Yeah. Take a look at that and like I said we run sales pretty often. Also, our products are very concentrated, so they should last you a bit.
Customer: Oh, that sounds good.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Awesome. All right, you guys. I'm trying to think kind of where we should go from there.
Customer: I have sort of a follow-up question. I too don’t have a ton of money to spend on skin care. I was working for a little while so I was like, Oh, here's a sale let me buy up some stuff. But I am going through those products now and I cannot afford to spend X hundreds of dollars on products so I'm trying to figure out if I had to go from where I am now, with a bunch of stuff, to just one oil and one serum and like one extra thing. What would be best to choose?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah. So like I was saying before, the minimum routine that you would want to have would be the cleanser and the oil because you kind of need to have a cleanser and a moisturizer.
And you could do it a couple different ways. Say you wanted to go down to just those two products. Maybe you want to invest in a couple of higher-end, more activated products. We didn't really touch on this, but within our line we have a few different collections.
So our Signature Collection, all of those products have this tan labeling. These products are a lot of our best selling products. Products that have been around since we first got started.
And then we also have the Wild Alchemy Collection. All of these products the black and gold labeling. So this is our luxury line. The products in this collection are going to be more expensive. They contain higher levels of activated ingredients and more exotic, globally sourced ingredients.
So I feel like there's kind of a couple ways you could do it. If you want to choose just two products, maybe you want to invest in the Phytonutrient Cleanser from the Wild Alchemy Collection and the Rejuvenating Facial Oil. Those are more expensive products, but you're just choosing fewer products with the most activated ingredients in them.
Or say you want to choose 3 products. Then you would go with a cleanser, serum, and oil. And you could kind of pick and choose, which collection(s) you want to go with.
It’s nice because it sounds like you have a lot of products. So you've gotten to try a lot of our products. So then you can kind of see what you like best, what you feel like works best for your skin. You can choose from all the ones that you've tried, maybe the three that you want to stick with. But if you were going to choose 3, like I said, I would choose a cleanser, a serum, and an oil.
If you could only choose two, then do the cleanser and the oil.
Customer: And for older skin, if you had to pick a serum, like if you're starting from scratch and you need to pick a serum that would kind of give you the most bang for the buck, which one would you do?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So my personal favorite serum is the Wild Fruit Serum. I love that one. And I refer to it as our “do it all” serum. It's very hydrating, it's brightening, it's anti-aging. That one is in the Wild Alchemy Collection, so it is one of the more expensive serum options, but I personally think it's worth it. I love it. It's got apple extract in it, which is rich in vitamin C and malic acid to help to brighten the look of skin. It's got Madonna lily plant cells. So we use plant cells in a lot of our products. Like in the citrus stem cell serum, we have the citrus derived stem cells. And in this serum, we have the Madonna lily plant cells. This one has a really dense infusion of those plant cells. There are about 1.5 million active plant stem cells in each bottle of the Wild Fruit Serum. This one also has knotweed extract. It's got kakadu plum in it. So kakadu plum is another really potent source of vitamin C. It also contains phenolic acid. Phenolic acid behaves on the skin similar to an alpha hydroxy acid, which have an exfoliating effect on the skin. For me, that's another thing that kind of sets this one apart. And also I love the smell of it. I'm a scent person and it just smells lovely. So if I was going to choose one serum that would be it.
That's another thing to consider when you are sort of paring down your routine…As I said, if you are only going to choose two products, you kind of need the cleanser and the oil. But if you can choose three, it's nice to incorporate a serum because serums usually contain higher levels of activated ingredients. Serums are also made up of smaller molecules than facial oils, so those activated ingredients are able to penetrate more deeply. So if you're able to incorporate three products, the cleanser, serum, and oil can be nice to do.
Okay. And then I do want to talk quickly about our Radiant C Mask & Polish. I don't have it here because I left it in my bathroom, but the Radiant C is an exfoliant, so we already kind of touched a little bit on exfoliants.
It's important to incorporate some type of exfoliation to help to prevent build up and to improve skin texture and tone. We have a few different exfoliants. The Radiant C Mask & Polish is our newest one. We just came out with it pretty recently. I feel weird not having it in my hand, but it's a really fun product. It's a really versatile product. It's a powder. It's a dry powder. And so you can use it a few different ways. You can use it as an exfoliant and kind of the most basic way that you could use it, you just shake the powder into the palm of your hand, mix a little bit of water with it, kind of create a paste, massage it into the skin and rinse clean. You would do that of course after you cleanse.
You can also mix it right in with your cleanser. So it sounds like a couple of you have the Clean Beauty Trial Kit. So you could take the Aloe Herb Cleanser, pump some of that into your hand, and then just shake a little bit of the Radiant C and mix that up and just exfoliate as you cleanse and then rinse it clean.
You can also use it as a mask. Again, you can just mix it with water, apply it, leave it on for like 15 minutes, and then rinse. You can also mix it with different things. So it mixes really nicely with honey. If you have like a raw honey, you can mix it with honey. You could mix it with yogurt. You can mix it with another mask. Our Illuminating Pearl Mask is a really popular mask of ours that mixes beautifully with the Radiant C. It’s a really nice treatment for brightening the look of skin.
And so this product is exfoliating in two ways, which I also love. It's a physical exfoliant and a chemical exfoliant.
So the physical exfoliating property in this one is a bamboo stem powder. It's a crushed bamboo. It's a pretty fine powder, a mild girt. And that is, you know, just physically polishing the skin. And then it's also a bit of a chemical exfoliant because of the acids and enzymes from all of the fruit extracts in it.
It's got hibiscus in it. So it has a really beautiful, like fuchsia color from the hibiscus. And then that one also has lemon peel powder, acerola cherry, kakadu plum, and strawberry. So it's very vitamin C rich and you're getting that little bit of that chemical exfoliation from the fruit enzymes and acids that are in there.
So I also love that it does both of those things. I just love a multitasking product and this one multitasks in all the ways. You can use it as a mask. You can use it as an exfoliant. It's the physical exfoliant. It's a chemical exfoliant. It just does it all!
And as I mentioned, exfoliation in general is going to help to refine skin texture and prevent buildup on the skin’s surface. That buildup can prevent your treatment products from being absorbed properly and working effectively, so it is an important step in a routine. With this product, it's fairly gentle. I would say that most people would use it two or three times a week.
And you know, if you're mixing it in with your cleanser and just doing a little bit in your cleanser, it's going to be milder, so maybe three times a week would be fine, but you can just kind of play around with it and see what works best for your skin.
Okay, you guys did you have any other questions or any other products or types of products that you want me to talk about? Or are you feeling pretty complete, pretty good? What do you think?
Customer: Can you talk about the boosters?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, absolutely.
Customer: I got them last year and I'm still like, when do I use these things?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, so the Concentrated Boosting Elixirs, these are a really fun product. They're kind of an extra product. So, you know, we're talking about paring down your routine, right? This isn't a product that you have to have, but they're a fun extra.
So they come in this set of three. They come with the Hydrate Elixir, the Brighten Elixir, and the Revitalize Elixir. Though now the Hydrate and the Brighten are both available in a larger size. So you can buy those on their own if you want. So the way that you use them, they're never to be applied directly to the skin. They're always to be mixed. So you ideally will mix with your serum. If for some reason you're not using a serum, you could also mix with your facial oil. You can even play around, I know our COO mixes the Brighten Elixir with the Illuminating Pearl Mask. So you can kind of play around with them a bit, but ideally you would mix with your serum.
So you would pump your serum into the palm of your hand and then you would drop one to three drops of the elixir in with the serum and then just mix it up and apply it. You can kind of mix and match. So say in the morning, maybe you want to add two drops of Brighten and one drop of Hydrate to your Citrus Stem Cell Serum. And then maybe at night you want to do just three drops of Revitalize in your Wild Fruit Serum. Or maybe you want to do two drops of Hydrate and one drop of Revitalize in your Wild Fruit Serum. So you can kind of play around with them. The Revitalize, this one you only want to use at night. Because it does contain our bioactive A-Complex, that retinol alternative that we talked about. And you do want to use this with an SPF during the day. And then you don't want to mix the Revitalize and the Brighten in the same application. You would do one in the morning and one at night.
Customer: Which one did you say to only do at night?
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: The Revitalize is only to be used at night. And so the three that are in the set the Hydrate, this is a hyaluronic acid with vegan collagen pre peptides. So hyaluronic acid we already talked about. It's that humectant, it's drawing moisture, I'm sorry, drawing water to the skin, really deeply hydrating. Plumping the skin and then the vegan collagen pre peptides are strengthening the skin.
The Brighten Elixir, this is a pure vitamin C with seabuckthorn. So excellent for brightening the look of dark areas.
There are a lot of different types of vitamin C out there. The vitamin C that we use in this product is tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, or THDA, I know it's a mouthful. But the reason that we've chosen that particular vitamin C is because it's a very stable form of vitamin C. A lot of vitamin C products are made with types of vitamin C that are not stable, so when you open the product when it's exposed to air, it can go rancid really quickly and then it's not effective. So this is a very stable form of vitamin C. It's also an oil-soluble form of vitamin C. So it's great even for more sensitive skin types. It has a pH of 7, so it's very non-irritating. So that's the Brighten. And then that one is paired with seabuckthorn.
And then the Revitalize, like I said, that's the bioactive A-Complex, which is the retinol alternative. And that is paired with astaxanthin, which is a really powerful antioxidant. It is also what gives flamingos their pink color. Fun fact. So those are the elixirs. And yeah, those are just really fun. You can mix them in, like I said, just mix them in with your serum. If, say you end up without a serum and you just have an oil or something, mix them in with your oil.
Great. Any other questions or products that you want me to touch on? No? Okay. Well, I think we might wrap it up then if you guys are feeling complete
Customer: I still have one more question.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yes, absolutely.
Customer: So if you wear foundation the cleansers don't really get all the foundation off. So what do you recommend to get the foundation off? And then cleanse your face to get the pH back.
Emily Haupt – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, great question.
So we do have our Restorative Cleansing Oil. This is excellent for removing makeup, removing sunscreen. I'm a huge fan of oil cleansing. I'm a big fan of double cleansing. So this product is in our Wild Alchemy Collection. You use it a little bit differently because, as the name suggests, it is an oil. And so you apply it to dry skin. Dry skin, dry hands. Massage it in, and then you can just rinse clean, and that can be it. So if you wanted to, you could use this just as your cleanser. This could be the only, only cleanser that you have.
As I said, you would massage it in, dry hands, dry face, rinse it clean, and that can be it. It also can be used as the first step in a double- cleanse routine. So if you wanted to do that, apply with dry hands to dry face, massage it in, rinse it clean, and then follow with whatever second cleanser you like the Aloe Herb, Phytonutrient, whatever you have, whatever you like. And so that's excellent for removing makeup. It's even great for removing mascara, waterproof mascara. This one, if you use it on its own, especially if you use it on its own and you just rinse to remove, it does leave a bit of an oil on the skin. Some people like that. Some people don't like that. So it feels very nourishing, if you have dry and mature skin.
This is actually great for all skin types though, because even for somebody who's more congestion prone or oily, like attracts like. So that oil is going to help cling to oil-based impurities in the skin to sweep them away. You also can remove it with a warm washcloth or a warm towel or something if you don't like that bit of oil that it leaves.
And again, if you're doing a double cleanse, then you're going to have less of that oil that it's leaving on the skin. This one is a jojoba oil base. So like we talked about, jojoba very closely resembles the texture of your skin's natural sebum. This one also has tea tree oil in it, so purifying.
This one has manuka oil. I'm manuka obsessed. Manuka oil is very deep cleansing and calming. I'm trying to think what else, I feel like I'm forgetting something, But that one's excellent for removing makeup, sunscreen, anything like that.
And even like, okay, say you don't want to invest in this product. But you still don’t feel like your skin is being thoroughly cleansed. You could still do a double cleanse, even just with your Aloe Herb Cleanser. So I've done that in the past. If I'm wearing a lot of makeup or something, I'll just start out with a really quick cleanse.
Cleanse with the Aloe Herb and then rinse it clean and then I'll come in again with it and do a more thorough cleanse, like really taking my time, massaging it in, focusing on areas that tend to get missed around the hairline, down around the jaw and then rinsing it. So sometimes that can be helpful too if you're wearing a lot of makeup. I also in the past have used a pure oil like coconut oil or pure jojoba to remove my makeup and then come in with your cleanser so you could do something like that as well.
Good questions. Awesome.
Did you guys have any other questions, or are you feeling pretty complete?
