Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician:So we're going to kind of go. Into a lot of products. So buckle up. With that, let's start before we even get in and talk about the difference between the two lines, because you'll see me holding both this, like, tan label and this dark label.
So these tan label products, we call them our signature collection, and they're essentially kind of like the basic collection. They are, you know, crafted with high intention. They're incredibly high quality. The dark bottle, the glass bottle here, or a black label here. This is called our Wild Alchemy Collection.
And the biggest differences between the Wild Alchemy and the Signature Collection, the Wild Alchemy tends to include more exotic ingredients. So we'll source ingredients from more tropical places essentially further away or harder to source ingredients.
Just some of the ingredients have a little bit more that goes on before they become part of the final blend.
Customer: So it's more luxurious?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: We do tend to call it our more luxurious line. The Wild Alchemy though, is most of the Wild Alchemy is really tailored and really focused on addressing signs of aging. And that will vary per product, but that can be things like sunspots, more pronounced wrinkles, deeper wrinkles in the face. the appearance of fine lines loss of elasticity, so if you're starting to see drooping or sagging in the skin. Generally speaking, Wild Alchemy is going to be kind of like a notch up when we're wanting to address signs of aging. But we'll get into that in greater detail as we're going throughout, because it, I, hopefully it'll make more sense as we're, we're starting to talk about the products.
So let's start at the top. So, your first step is cleansing, right? And cleansing, you're doing this morning, you're doing this evening. This step is essentially to prep skin, but also to rinse skin. Skin wash away either day, right? So if you're cleansing skin in the evening, you're washing away the day or in the morning if you're washing skin, you're kind of washing away what happened overnight So it's important that you hit that part. Your skin actually goes through this process of opening and softening and releasing a little bit and So the products that you select before bedtime are important, and then washing your face in the morning is also important. So yeah, your first step is your cleansing step. Now the most popular cleanser, the, like, widely loved cleanser, is this one here. This is called our Aloe Herb Cleanser. And the feel of this one is very smooth, very soft. It's got a nice kind of lotion y feel to it with consistency.
However, one of the key ingredients in that one is aloe vera juice. It's in aloe vera, kind of takes on the saponification when exposed to water, so you get this cleansing aspect. This is actually lifting and moving along dirt, makeup, debris, all of that that might be there from the day or from the night before. This particular cleanser, you'll notice it does come in two sizes. This one is awesome for skin that's dry, skin that's normal to dry, skin that's aging, starting to see signs of aging, and skin that's really sensitive. The blend of this is awesome for soothing skin that is prone to sensitivity. So when I'm working with someone who experiences temporary redness or any kind of reactivity, right, they might have a high propensity to be reactive to either food or touch or products. The Aloe Herb Cleanser is typically where I point them. The feel when you use this, right, it feels kind of like a lotion. You've got that cleansing aspect with the aloe vera. It's not going to suds up. None of our products will, will have any suds or bubbling to them. We don't use sulfates,
So they're working to cleanse with other ingredients. So it doesn't get really bubbly, but it really smooths the skin when you rinse that off. The skin just feels really balanced, right? So if you're normal, it feels, you know, still pretty normal. If you're on the normal oily side, this probably may not be the most supportive one for you it just isn't helping to remove that much excess oil, but in a pinch, it's not adding moisture to it.
You're not feeling like there's a residue left behind or there's any kind of sticky feel left behind or anything like that. the Aloe Herb Cleanser. That is the one that comes in the Clean Beauty Trial Kit, that one there. Now the next one is still part of the Signature Collection here.
This is our Citrus Mint Cleanser. And again, it comes in the two sizes, the large and the smaller. This one is a gel based consistency. That utilizes peppermint, it utilizes neem, it utilizes rosemary and then with that gel suspension, right, it's got a lot more of the aloe in this one. It's really designed to be controlling oil. So anyone who experiences regular clogged pores, anyone who is experiencing a lot of oil on the skin or even if your skin kind of varies with the seasons, right? Sometimes people have normal skin throughout the winter and then summer hits. And they're just quite a bit oilier. This is a really good one to help to control that oil. And it's a really nice one because as opposed to a lot of the cleansers on the market, we don't have any acids in here. So there's no glycolic, there's no lactic, there's no salicylic. This isn't stripping the skin. It's leaving skin that acid mantle, right? This upper layer Still intact and still supported but helping to control the excess oil that's on the skin So for anyone who mentioned or had the concern of oil or an overproduction of oil This is the one I would direct you to the citrus mint cleanser Yeah, this is a really great one for that Pacific concern or again, if you're normal and your skin varies with the season.
Now this one here, this is our Phytonutrient Cleanser. This one, of course, as you can tell with the label, is part of the Wild Alchemy collection. This one is awesome for a lot of different signs of aging. So the blend of this is a little bit richer than the Aloe Herb Cleanser. One of the key ingredients here is a mango seed butter, and you really kind of feel that fatty consistency with this cleanser. There's like four different florals that's essentially designed to strengthen the skin to provide a lot of antioxidants to the skin and to help stave off the appearance of fine lines. So when you're hitting the point where you feel like lines, either deeper or finer lines, is a primary concern of yours, this is a pretty supportive one for that specifically. Now if your skin is really sensitive, I still like the aloe herb a little bit better. Right. The blend of that one's just a little bit gentler. But if your skin's normal or even normal to dry, but doesn't have a propensity to be super sensitive, this is really the one I would probably point you towards. This also has a little bit of Malic acid from apple extract, right? So it's a pretty small amount. You don't usually feel any activity but this can be helpful in the process of fading uneven skin tone. So uneven skin tone are hyperpigmentation. If that's a concern this is probably the one I would point you to. I would recommend it for your skin type. Oh, what about this? Yeah, the feel of it on the skin, it's got a little bit more of this like fatty full feel. Still good for dry skin. Not the most ideal for sensitive skin, but Not the worst either. It just doesn't necessarily soothe the skin, but for aging, that's the one I would go with.
Okay, cool. Let's pause there. There are a couple other cleansers that exist, but I don't know that they're that pertinent for this group today. So, any questions about the cleansers that I've gotten into so far?
Okay, cool. Let's move along. So your next step in your routine is your toning mist. And the toning mist I feel like is just so often neglected. It is kind of misunderstood, people skip over, they're like, I'm not going to spend the money on it. And I get it, right? Where if you're working with a budget, it makes sense. The toning mist is pretty important, the whole line, right? So we use a toning mist, and then we apply a serum and then an oil. Using the toning mist, it helps to really provide this burst of hydration. Hydration, kind of meaning supporting the lower layers of the skin, and then it's focused in a certain direction, right? And that could be providing some support for the appearance of fine lines, that could be controlling oil and clogged pores, and it could be helping sensitive skin, it just really depends on which one you go with, but it's really kind of helping to steer how your products support your skin. In addition, all of our serums contain some variations of a humectant, and a humectant essentially is this ingredient that seeks out moisture and pulls it to it and expands, right? So the humectant is what provides a lot of the plumping effect to the skin. When you've already got a little bit of an aqueous consistency on the skin, in the form of these toning mists, when you apply your serum, it's kind of that much more boosted in terms of the plumping effect that it can hit, right? So the hyaluronic acid, the tremella mushroom, when the skin's a little bit damp and already has that aqueous feel to it, when you apply those serums, the plumping is just boosted. So it, it's, it's supportive in that way.
We've got two in the Signature Collection. I'll start here with this one. This is the Neroli Toning Mist.
Now this one is the Awesome for skin that's normal, normal to dry, and aging. It is fine for sensitive skin. It doesn't exacerbate sensitivity. I just have another one that's really helpful for soothing skin that is prone to sensitivity. So, skin that is prone to sensitivity can wear this, you know, temporary redness prone, sensitive prone, can use this. It doesn't exacerbate irritation. The neroli in this is pretty pointed as far as supporting the appearance of fine lines. Neroli essential oil is this kind of anti-aging, antioxidant rich really good for the appearance of fine lines on the forehead, right? These like very kind of fissure-like lines that happen, also on the sides of the eye.
The neroli can be pretty supportive for how you're using this and any of them after you've cleaned your skin You are misting skin, right? So it's a plunger here that you press down and it mists the skin And then you leave it on the skin So you don't have to put it like onto a cotton round and wipe it. You don't wipe it off. It stays on the face that they're These two, so this one specifically, and then the next one are suspended in an aloe vera juice base. So the feel of them is very light. It's this light burst that's helping to support the water layers of the lower layers of the skin. And so using the neroli, helpful for the appearance of fine lines, for normal skin, kind of dry skin, and aging skin, those three.
The next one in the Signature Collection is this one. This is our Rosemary Toning Mist. Now this one, it does still start with an aloe vera juice base, but this has been suspended, or we've suspended into this, white willow bark in this one we've got aspen bark, we've got rosemary, as the name suggests. Essentially it's this blend of ingredients that helps to absorb oil. Alright, so what's really cool about this one when you mist it, it kind of gobbles up the excess oil, but it's not stripping the skin. So skin still looks very healthy, very radiant.
It's got a nice, like, I wouldn't say glow, but it's not mattified. You know, like a blotting paper might. It just feels really healthy still but that excess oil has been kind of absorbed up and off. With the white willow bark in this one also, this can be helpful actively for breakout prone skin, helping in kind of soothing that and slowing that production down with clogged pores. So this is one I recommend for oilier skin. normal to oily can use this also. So if your skin's kind of like normal, dances in between, this is great. I also have several customers who would describe their skin type as dry, but they get really shiny in the afternoon, like three or four. And so they actually use this. to just control the excess shine, right? They missed over their makeup, missed their face without disrupting, you know, their whole skin care routine and just absorbing what's kind of excess on the skin. So I do have a couple customers who like to use it for that specifically as well.
Now, the next one is the Wild Alchemy Collection and is the Botanical Hydration Mist with Immortelle I'll call out also that it is a larger bottle size.
This one is only available in that larger bottle size, the other two are only available in that smaller bottle size. And that's part of the Wild Alchemy as well. The Wild Alchemy tends to include larger bottles for that one. Now, whereas the other two started with a simple aloe vera juice that we then steeped and kind of crafted, this one starts with a blend of two hydrosols. That happens when you create an essential oil via steam distillation, right? So the steam goes through whatever plant or flower and then there's like this watery runoff that kind of is cast to the side. Those are hydrosols and the consistency of a hydrosol is really nice. It's very buttery. It's very very soft, smooth. It has, yeah, just a very smooth kind of soft feel to it. It's not so weighty as to be an oil, right? So it's not that far on the spectrum where it's heavier, but it is quite a bit more moisturizing than just the aloe vera juice. So for somebody whose concern is dry skin, specifically dry and aging skin, this is a really supportive one for that.
The two hydrosols that we've chosen, we've got Rose and we've got Immortelle. Immortelle is sometimes also known as Halicrysum either way it's the same flower. We went with Immortelle because it's got this reputation for being the flower of immortality. So two really potent anti aging florals here. Rose is also a really potent anti-ager. Great for the appearance of fine lines. And we could have stopped there and it would have been a standalone product, but we went further. So we've got the hydrosols, but then we've got four different types of chamomile and frankincense in this blend. And those four different types of chamomile and frankincense are super ideal for sensitive skin. Skin that gets really skin that is prone to sensitivity that's temporary redness prone. Grace, you're usually my spokesperson for this one. Grace experiences temporary redness, and this is your go to? This is what you love?
Grace – Annmarie Skin Care Marketing Assistant: Oh, yeah.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: It's like,
Grace – Annmarie Skin Care Marketing Assistant: I always joke around saying it's my best friend in a spray bottle because it's just so true.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, we love this one. We ascribe to this one a lot. I use this one a lot more in the winter. In the summer, my skin's been quite a bit dewier, so I haven't used this as often. But yeah, I have a lot of customers who are dry. Aging and sensitive that this is the one that goes to you. And I actually have several customers that this is the only product of Anne Marie skin care that they use. They have tried the others and they're fine, but this is the one that they keep repurchasing. So we're quite, Quite big fans of this one. We launched this one in 2020. When we first launched it, it had a pretty herbal smell to it. It was a lot of chamomile. But we've kind of tweaked the formulation. So it's got this beautiful, herbal floral scent. You really can smell both of them. And so it's less like tea and more like a, Beautiful aromatic facial product. So any questions about the toning mist? How do we use them? What do we do with them? Anything like that?
Okay, awesome. Let's keep going. So the next step in your routine is your serum. And your serums, serums tend to be this, like, really targeted blend. They also tend to be a little thinner in consistency and oftentimes aqueous based. And the aqueous base is, like, Definitely true for our line. It's fairly common with other lines, but I don't know.
I don't know all the lines ever. So, you know, you could have other ones that are not aqueous space. But the reason behind that, and the intention for that is because with them being aqueous, right, Olivera, this thinner base and then being really targeted, they absorb lower into the skin. So our serums are oftentimes our treatment step.
they're oftentimes pretty focused on a specific concern. Whereas our oils, which we use as our moisturizer can be kind of higher level. They work on the higher layers of the skin. They work with the fatty consistency of the skin, this like, natural lipid layer to have this moisturized feel, but these are where the treatment is at, right?
So as you're exploring your products, this is where we're focused on your specific concern and working to streamline, this good skin back to where we want it to be. There are so many popular ones. This one we have in two sizes and it is a common one.
This is the Anti-Aging Serum, and we launched the larger size, the 30 milliliter size, because we were finding that this smaller size has a high purchase rate, but also a high repurchase rate. Seeing people like it enough to rebuy it we wanted to have an option that was more cost effective and sustainable. This is kind of like a catch all in terms of high level signs of aging. The key ingredient, one of the key ingredients in here is hyaluronic acid. And hyaluronic acid is this really quick plump to the skin. What hyaluronic acid does, it's a humectant, and so it seeks out moisture and it pulls it to it and it plumps up. Fluffs up the skin. And in my opinion, that's one of the reasons that this is quite a popular product. I think also the fact that it's one of the longest standing products, so it's been around for a while and just its general efficacy attributes to it. But it has a really quick turnaround in terms of seeing a difference because of the amount of hyaluronic acid in this one. Also in this one, we have several florals, Rose, Idle Weiss, Life Everlasting. These florals are essentially supported for the appearance of fine lines. This is helping to kind of strengthen the skin, helping to combat the effect of, you know, as the appearance of fine lines are happening to slow that down a little bit in an ongoing Kind of cumulative sort of way. So you've got the hyaluronic acid. That's a pretty quick fix. You've got the floral blend that's working both immediately and then working long term with continued use there. The scent of this one, I haven't gotten to the scents of many of them. This smells a lot like rose. Yeah, it smells a lot like roses.
This next one here, this is our Citrus Stem Cell Serum.
Now this one, it does have the smallest amount of hyaluronic acid of the others, so if Skin that's dry is a concern and uneven skin tone are a concern. We've got the citrus stem cells and stem cells are a really interesting anti-aging ingredient because what stem cells do essentially as stem cells absorb into the skin, right, they sit next to your existing skin cells and then as they move up to the surface Your skin mimics the behavior of stem cells. Using stem cells is a great way to kind of combat deeper lines, also to combat drooping in the skin. So if you're starting to see a sagging, if you're starting to see a drooping, incorporating stem cells into your routine is a way to kind of soften the appearance of that, help to slow that down. Now stem cells are cumulative. So because they get into the lower layers, and then you notice the effects as those lower layers move to the surface. The turnaround time is a little bit longer before you start to notice the difference. It's usually anywhere around four weeks, it can be four to six weeks for you to notice a difference. It could be anywhere from six to twelve weeks for someone else to notice a difference. And that's just the nature of how those stem cells behave. It just takes a little bit of time for that to get into the lower parts of the skin and move up to the surface. So the other side of this is working on specifically brightening darkened spots of the face. We have uva ursi, we have licorice root and almaberry here. There are what's called tyrosinase inhibitors, and the way those work, those specifically work with darkened areas of the face, and so they essentially build up on a darkened spot. It's different from vitamin C. Vitamin C is like an overall tone brightener. These work with specific spots on the face, and they kind of build up and accumulate and help that pigmentation to go back to sleep. So, using Uva Ursi, usually licorice root, these are really common skin brighteners. You're going to find them in holistic skin care, you're going to find them in more traditional like, you know, any other type of skin care because they're really potent. I, of course, can speak to the cleanliness, the sourcing, the purity of our Uva Ursi, our licorice root, whereas other brands might not have as clean of sourcing. And likewise with the stem cells, it might go without saying, but we only use plant derived stem cells. Ours are just plant derived but we feel very solid about the ones that we choose. This product is great for breakout prone skin, especially breakout prone skin that's starting to see like spots left behind. This is really great for skin that's kind of normal, but also starting to see a loss of elasticity, right? So maybe you're not on the far end of being really dry. Okay. But you're, you're, they're noticing some drooping or sagging. Yeah, this is also really good for any darkened area. So that could be a sunspot that's come up to the surface. This could be the uneven skin tone left behind after clogged pores. All of that, this can be super supportive for. And the scent profile of this one just smells a lot like citrus, as the name suggests.
Yeah, really just a light super citrusy scent and the next one moving along here still in the signature collection This is our Probiotic Serum with Tremella. Now. This one is Really helpful for anytime skin is kind of thrown off, right?
So your skin has this natural Microbiome basically, it's a natural flora to the skin. Well, we've got this product. We've got a probiotic complex We've also got an olive leaf extract And what that's designed to do is to feed the good bacteria of the skin and help kind of bring skin back into balance. And so this can be supportive, whether skin's reacting, you know, whether you've got sensitive skin that kind of lights up easily. This can be supportive for temporary redness, if you're experiencing temporary redness or temporary redness flare ups. This can also be supportive for breakout prone skin. I used to, you know, when I started with the company, I had a lot of clogged pores and this was the one I used for a long time because this really just helps to bring that bacteria into balance.
Aside from that, it also helps to soothe redness. And so if you are someone who is experiencing clogged pores actively this can be a helpful one to kind of calm that down to bring skin back into balance. Depending on the sourcing of clogged pores, right? clogged pores can be gut related, they can be diet related, there's a lot going on.
So it might not clear it up fully but this can help to really kind of soothe that and calm that down. This is one I used for years and years and years when I was breakout prone, the probiotic serum. The tremella mushroom that's in this, it also has a similar kind of function to hyaluronic acid. Right, so it's a humectant, it seeks out moisture, pulls it to it. So even if you are oily, this can, this can help to bring this into balance. It just helps to kind of soothe the skin and nourish the skin as it's needed. I always like to note with this one, because of that tremella mushroom, it does have a little bit of an earthy scent to it. The floral bend is still quite nice. It's not a straight mushroom but it does have just like an edge of a mushroom, just like an edge of mushroomy funk to it. I like it. Not everybody likes it, but I like it. Okay, so these are the three in the Signature Collection. Now we're getting into the Wild Alchemy Collection here.
This first one is the Wild Fruit Serum.
This is a pretty broad catch all. This has ingredients to support dehydrated skin. Right, so we've got hyaluronic acid. This has ingredients to support brightening the skin. We both have vitamin C. i=It's a kukadu plum that is the source of the vitamin C. So it's this plum, this fruit that's very vitamin C rich. We've also got uva ursi in here. So uva ursi is that targeted brightener that we have in the citrus stem cell serum that helps to focus on specific spots. So this can be really good if your primary concern is evening out the tone of the skin.
With the vitamin C, we'll get this overall evening. With the uva ursi, we get this focused. brightening, this focus kind of muting to the skin. We also have stem cells here. So stem cells again are supporting the kind of lift and strength and smoothness of the skin, smoothness of the skin. So if you are someone who's experiencing really any aging concern, this can kind of step in and help. The formulation does have a good amount of the hyaluronic acid. So skin that's dehydrated, skin that's dry, this can be helpful for but otherwise just general signs of aging. This is really kind of top tier and helps to stave that off and slow that down. The scent of this one, it smells a lot like the plum the kakadu plum that's in it. And so that's part of the naming of the wild fruit. It's just really light and a little fruity. Yeah, it's yummy.. There are so many that we wish we also had them in a candle so that we could light them and just smell them all day.
Now the next one you'll notice, this is the larger bottle size, right? This is the bigger bottle. This is our Activated CBD Serum. Now, this one, a couple cool things about this one. We of course use CBD. We use two types of CBD. So we use a water soluble and a fat soluble CBD. And CBD as a skin care ingredient is so cool, because CBD essentially, works with your endocannabinoid system, it works with your own body, to triage areas that are breaking down and need support. And so that can be really multifaceted, that could be skin that's really dry, that could be skin that's really irritated, that could be skin that's got some clogged pores, that could be skin that's starting to just basically break down, right? Like you're starting to see deeper lines, deeper fissures sagging, all of that. CBD steps in and helps to support the restoration and recovery basically of those areas. It also can be really hard because it's not like Uva Ursi that's got a very specific focus and specific support. CBD is pretty multi pronged. So essentially it's like, do you feel like you've got some sort of breakdown happening? CBD can help. Now we've got the two types, right? We've got the water soluble, we've got the fat soluble, because the water soluble has got this very quick deep immediate absorption. The fat soluble has got this slower kind of cumulative release that happens.
So you get this immediate effect with the CBD, you get this kind of prolonged ongoing effect with the CBD both pretty supportive. Now, if we stopped there, it would still be a very unique product. But the formulation, the blend, we rounded it out. So we've got a lot of hydrators here. We've got hyaluronic acid, we've got tremella mushrooms. So most of the other serums have a kind of thinner feel. This is a pretty full, rich serum. And then we've also, on top of that, right, on top of the hydrators, we've got a lot of the anti agers.
We've got really potent antioxidants, kind of like the highest end antioxidants, superoxide dismutase and astaxanthin. You don't have to know those. They're big words, but they're really potent antioxidants. that basically help to support combating breakdown of the skin. This is ideal for skin that is, you know, working with some sort of issue or breakdown, right? So the appearance of fine lines, fissures, and drooping are also really good for skin that is dry. With this really creamy blend. Also really good for skin that's aging. The three of these are like cocktails that this helps to support.
Now a couple of call outs with this one. When you shop for this one. it's taking you to its own site. It's a separate site than like ours, our site that has all of our other products are like a regular site. I guess you will say it takes it to another site to purchase this. You check out through that site and you purchase just this or there, I think there's a trial size option. This is not it, but it's like this size. And that's by design. That's how we are able to legally sell CBD in the U. S. Online. So that is a different process. We don't charge shipping on that site, though, so it would be such a bummer to have to pay shipping twice.
There's no shipping on the CBD site. It is only available in the U. S. So if you're joining us from anywhere else, Canada is the most common place, we can't sell that, we can't get that to you. No, I can't stop you from having it sent to a friend, and then it goes somewhere else, but I, our company, cannot ship it across the border, unfortunately.
So just things to think about as you're shopping for that CBD serum, it's worth the effort, it is an incredible product, we're huge fans of it. You know, here internally but there's a little bit more involved in purchasing it. Now, everything that I've mentioned so far, serum wise, you can use in the morning, you can use in the evening.
I don't typically recommend that you mix them together. If there's more than one that you find that you want to use, do one in the morning, do one in the evening.
Now the last one, this is like our favorite here. This is our Activated Night Serum.
This one, as the name suggests, is for nighttime. This is for overnight, overnight wear. The activated night serum has an ingredient that we call our bioactive A complex, and it essentially functions like a retinol. It offers the same beautiful, like, lifted, smoothed, taut, almost glassy look that retinol can provide in a way that is bioavailable, in a way that is working with the body and not breaking the body down. We actually launched this first as part of this set here. These are our concentrated boosting elixirs. And if there's time, we'll get into them. But just to show them off this one is called Revitalize. This is a really concentrated amount of the bioactive A. So if you're somebody who really wants to go intense, Getting this set and then boosting anything with the Bioactivate it's pretty, you feel it, So this set is awesome. I won't spend too long on it, but it's great for enhancing any routine, any treatment. The Bioactivate in this one, it's obviously more than just a concentrated amount. We do have a good amount in here, but then the Greater Blend is also really tailored for nighttime wear. It's creamy, so it's got a similar consistency to the CBD serum. It's a richer, fuller feel. It works perfectly with that REM cycle sleep, right? So when you sleep your skin is relaxing. Your pores are relaxing and opening a little bit. You might have a little bit of a release. We've got the bioactive A that is resurfacing the skin. This is an exfoliant. We've also got black cumin seed oil. We've got, I think there's immortelle in this one. Again, astaxanthin again, superoxide dismutase. These ingredients that are really potent anti agers are in this blend to work with that sleep cycle to get as deep as possible integrated into the body as possible and then utilizing the bioactive A.
Now the creamy blend in this is also important because retinol, traditional retinol, is pretty exfoliating without much else going on, right? So it strips the skin, breaks the skin down, and then skin might flake, skin might peel. Because this is suspended in this really rich blend, most of the time what happens if you are experiencing anything, it's kind of like slightly pink. There's like a little bit of thinness to the skin. I've yet to work with anyone who has experienced flaking or peeling or any kind of extreme reaction like that. it's an effective product, but it's also an intentional blend, so it's not stripping the skin and leaving it bare. This is a really great one for a lot of concerns.
All right, so uneven skin tone. the appearance of fine lines, blemishes, clogged pores, things like that. This can just be like overall skin that wants a lift. So loss of elasticity, drooping skin, all of that. Yeah, this can be super supportive, it's a pretty quick and quickly effective product, right? So for me, my skin, I would not say my skin's sensitive. I can be on the sensitive edge, but It's kind of normal dry, like, with a little sensitivity. I am able to wear this about three nights in a row, and then my skin is just a little bit pink, and so I'll take a couple nights off. So, I don't have sensitive skin, but I do still slow down my usage because I can see that I am reacting to it, right? It's working and I want to give my skin time to catch up. It could be something with my skin that with continued usage I could up it, but it seems to be a good pace for me, so that's the pace that I keep it at. A couple nights a week and that's plenty. I have a lot of customers who use this nightly with no issues whatsoever. I have a couple customers who are on the sensitive side who will do it about once a week. So you can kind of play with the frequency that feels most supportive for your skin. Obviously start with one night, see how it feels and kind of build up from there. It does increase your photosensitivity.
Right. So you're more likely to burn. You're more likely to experience whatever reaction to the sun. And I do encourage you to not take that detail lightly. A lot of times when you're using the activated night serum, you're focused on reversing some sign of aging or clogged pores or something. And then if you aren't protecting the skin, there are a lot of clean sunscreens on the market. And then you expose yourself to UV. You're undoing a lot of work that you're doing. So even if you don't burn, UV damage can exacerbate the appearance of fine lines that UV damage can exacerbate uneven skin tone. And so just be extra mindful, if you're using this to wear your sunscreen in the morning. And if you know you're about to go on a beach vacation, maybe take a couple nights off. Maybe don't do it right before you go out and like, spend the whole day on a hike or something. So being conscientious of that.
Oh, another thing that's really cool about this one right now, we are doing sweepstakes with this. So any purchase of the activated night serum, whether you got it in a bundle, whether you purchased it on its own, you're entered into this drawing that will happen at the end of August.
And we're going to choose a grand prize winner, and the grand prize winner gets a year's worth. Of Annmarie kin care. It's so fun. Yeah, it's a big deal. And The second place winners normally choose three second place winners this year for the anniversary. We're choosing 15 So the likelihood of being chosen is that much higher?
They have like a dollar threshold. I think it's around three thousand dollars. Yeah, grace is nodding. She knows she knows so you have three thousand dollars to apply towards Your products and you don't have to do it all in one swing. You can place an order and then when you're ready to contact me, place another order.
So you can keep going. You have a year to use it. So, you know, you time it accordingly, but yeah. So any purchase of the activated night serum will enter you into that drying. That's pretty, pretty cool. Okay. Serums are a lot of info. So let's pause again and let's see what questions have come up, if any.
Grace, chat looks okay? Cool. I can never tell whether I'm so thorough or everybody's shy. Nobody wants to ask the question. But that's okay, we can keep going. Let's get into oil.
Customer: Oh, there you go. Yeah, I was muted. I'm kind of just giving you a chance to go through all of your products. And then at the end, I'll ask my questions.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay, cool. That is good. If that's a good way for you to keep track of the questions that works for me. I think we're going to get into a fair amount of the oils today because we have a pretty Diverse group of skin, diverse type of skin. facial oils, we have our moisturizers, our facial oils. We aren't morally opposed to creams or lotions, but there are a couple of reasons we've stuck with oils so far. one of the biggest ones is that oil is a really quickly recognizable form of moisture for the body.
Your face. naturally produces oil. Even if you're on the low end or it has slowed down, your face has oil to it. Your skin naturally has oil. So using an oil as a moisturizer, and especially choosing the right one for your needs, really helps to adequately support your skin and is quickly absorbed, quickly identified, and quickly kind of integrated into the body.
The appearance and look of oil as a moisturizer is pretty radiant. There's this natural glow that skin takes on, and this is true for our 20 year old clients all the way up to our 90 year old clients skin just has this kind of healthy radiance to it using the facial oil that fits whatever your skin needs are another thing with the creams and lotions.
We think we have now found a formulation that was as clean as we wanted it, Upheld our brand standards and also had a long enough shelf life. So any variation that we've kind of toyed with, it's like, it's beautiful and lovely, but to keep it in this, cream form and to keep the blend like blended right without having to use a bunch of synthetic emulsifiers and then have it actually last longer than six months because anything that's a year or less is not quite Worth it for us to craft and retail. Provides the radiance and glow that an oil does. So oil is our moisturizer. This is how we are providing moisture to our skin.
We've got most of these in the Signature Collection here. Now this one is the most popular one, hands down. This is our Anti-Aging Facial Oil.
This one starts with an organic golden jojoba, and the way we formulate our oils is we take our anchor oil, in this case jojoba, we steep it at a low heat. So we steep into it either plants or flowers or fresh seeds CO2 extracts, what else do we have in here? Any kind of variation where we want to get the nutrition from a plant ingredient, we steep it and it stays at a low heat, so nothing goes over 91 degrees. So everything maintains its nutritional value. Nothing goes into the rancid category. It's good. And then of course it gets strained and bottled in from there. So this one, we've got the golden jojoba. Golden jojoba is awesome. Any jojoba, but ours is an organic golden jojoba because it mimics skin's natural oil really, really closely. The weight, the size, the volume of jojoba compared to your natural oil is really close. So for somebody who's dry, somebody whose skin has started to like, either not produce as much oil, or you just naturally have drier skin, this is probably one that you'll be interested in. There's another one that you might like as well, but this is a really good one. This has a really full, rich feel to it. When you apply it, I feel like skin just looks so, it looks like clay, like just beautifully, beautifully glowy, really, really lovely. The herbs and plants that we've steeped into this one, we've got broccoli seed, chia seed, goji berry, I think plantain. all of these are designed to provide a lot of nutrition to help maintain the strength of the skin.
So this is really helpful for lines, deeper lines, fissures, you know, around the eyes, along the forehead, with any of the oils. Introducing a gua sha routine, which we can come back to here, but they all act as a really nice medium to just kind of help that along, help the lift, help the tone of the skin, like tone and strength of the skin.
These are awesome. And we'll swing back to these a little bit more, but, yeah. So your anti aging facial oil, this is for my dryer, probably driest skin types, this is the most moisturizing of the oils, even a little bit above the Wild Alchemy, that one here.
Now the next couple, these are part of our herbal facial oil family. So there are three of them, they all start with a grapeseed oil, it's a little bit lighter. Still very potent in terms of addressing signs of aging, but if your skin's not the driest, if you're normal, if you're combo, oily, all that we'll talk about these here. So, this one is our Herbal Facial Oil for Normal and Combination Skin. As the name suggests, This is who it's for. It is designed to really keep skin balanced. So for the combo skin, right, skin that might be oily in certain areas, dry in other areas, it can actually kind of even that out, help to balance that oil water production, so that you are more on the normal end. If you're actually already kind of normal, this just helps to keep that exactly where you want it. So it's not an overproduction, it's not too, too rich for your skin type. And it's also not kind of absorbing oil, which the other one of them does here momentarily. So skin that's fairly normal, skin that's fairly balanced, or skin that's combo, this is the one that you will like, the normal combo one.
The next one is for really sensitive skin. This is our Herbal Facial Oil for Sensitive Skin. The blend of this one still starts with the grapeseed oil, so it's a little bit lighter, but this one is really designed to suit skin that gets irritated. So this is common for people who experience temporary redness sometimes contact dermatitis or other variations where skin might have flare ups. The herbal facial oil for sensitive skin is amazing. It feels really good. this one, we didn't add any essential oils. All of our products have essential oils added to them with intention. They're designed to be part of the greater blend. They have a focus and a reason. But we know that they can be exacerbating if you're already prone to sensitivity. And so we are, we didn't include it in this one. No essential oils here.
This next one, this is the Herbal Facial Oil for Oily Skin, and I love this one for oily skin and for breakout prone skin. The blend of this one, it does start with grapeseed, but it's also got hazelnut. Hazelnut's even lighter, so the feel is like a really, really light oil. And counterintuitive to use this. But trust me, this particular one is going to be just nutritious enough and not overpowering. We've got, what else is here? Neem. Rosemary. There's an ingredient in here called bitter orange leaf extract. All of these are super helpful for active clogged pores, right? So bitter orange leaf specifically, but the other ones as well. They help with a pore. So pores that get impacted, pores that get a lot of buildup, they help to keep that nice and fresh. They help to keep that clean. The blend of this also has ingredients to help to soothe redness. And so if you are someone who's breakout prone, who has regular blemishes or is working with blemishes, this can be pretty helpful in calming that down, turning that redness down. I still use this one overnight as kind of like a spot treat for a breakout. If I've had, you know, a lot of dairy will do it for me. Or if I'm just like, it's that time of the month and I'm having a lot more clogged pores, I'll apply just a little bit of this. That'll be the first thing that touches my skin. It's usually like thin skinned areas here. And then leave that on overnight. And pretty much immediately, it's reduced in size and redness. So this is one that I swear by. It's an extra, extra thing to do. Now, those are all Signature Collection. This one is the Wild Alchemy Collection.
This is our Rejuvenating Facial Oil. Now this one, the formulation process was a little bit different. When we were crafting this, we want to have an oil for the Wild Alchemy Collection. So we want to have an oil that is super active. Really focused for signs of aging. How active can we make this and have it still comfortable enough for daily wear? So the process that we went through with this one, we still took oil, right? This one is, again, an organic jojoba. We steeped plants, seeds, etc. into it. strained it, but from there we added ingredients, added active ingredients directly into the blend. So it's the only one that has this, this kind of formulation variation. We have this steeped version and then add active ingredients. So we've added black cumin seed, we've got blue tansy, we've got butterfly pea flowers.
The mungongo seed is really effective for skin that has like any variation in texture. Yeah, if you've got any roughness or buildup that happens. The butterfly pea flower and the blue tansy, both of those are very potent anti agers.
They're very active ingredients. Because of the way this one's formulated, If you are really, really sensitive, it can be a little bit much. It's not atypical to kind of have this antioxidant reaction. Where skin's like, just adjusting to that volume of antioxidants. It typically happens where skin's really thin. So like, sides of the nose, sides of the mouth, sometimes along the chin, those areas. you can have little white bumps. It usually goes away pretty quickly. And so I usually just kind of like the name on the front end that you might experience if you're not used to a really potent clean oil like that you can dilute this. So the oils are a little bit more flexible in terms of mixing. You could do a half a pump of this and a half a pump of like one of the other oils, maybe the one for sensitive skin or the anti aging or something like that. Just to make this a little bit more comfortable. It also, of course, extends the longevity of this one. This is a high, high price point and by design, we do our best to keep the prices as low as possible, but just the blend of this and the ingredients chosen, it's a pretty high end product. What else with this one? It's a step down from the anti aging as far as. moisture. So anti-aging is pretty potent. It's very rich. This one, because it's been thinned slightly with the addition of these ingredients to the final blend, it's a little bit thinner. So for super, super dry skin, anti-aging might still be the route that you go. But for signs of aging, this is going to be the most potent, the most direct as far as Helping to stave those off.
Okay, one more and then we'll pause. We'll hit some questions. So this final one, this is our Sun Love. And I like to mention this with facial moisturizers because for certain skin types, you actually can get away with wearing just this and not your oil in the morning. My skin kind of dances, right? So like this time of year, I absolutely can. I apply my serum. I do my eye cream under this, this, the eye cream and then my sunscreen and I go in the evening, I still do my facial oil, but this one in the wintertime, my skin is not, I need the moisture. So I still do both. So I offer that. Just to say, like, you might be able to, you might not, you might explore if this does work for you as a moisturizer or if you still apply it over your oil because your skin needs that, that moisture. Now our sun product, we are quite proud of this sun product for a lot of reasons. It's zinc oxide. So, it's a mineral sunscreen. It's a non nano zinc oxide, so there's no risk of this getting into the bloodstream you know, getting into the body that way. The molecule sizes are bigger. The fact that this is a sheer sunscreen is also a really kind of big, like, claim to fame, I guess. We have a lot of people who really rave about that. Zinc oxide has this reputation for being so gloppy and like white and chalky and the formulation that we've done here, it is white for a minute. I do want to create that expectation, but very quickly this fades and absorbs and it is not like white cast on the skin. So we've actually called this the sun love every day, sheer sunscreen, because it sheers out pretty quickly. It wears really nicely under makeup. It is a reef safe sunscreen, so even if you're not near the ocean, all streams are going to the ocean, and so we kept that in mind as well. It's also an active skin. product. We've got broody fruit oil. We've got pumpkin seed oil. It's very antioxidant rich. It wears lovely on the face.
It's designed for the face and the neck. Sometimes people will ask if you can apply it to the body and technically you can. It is just as effective. My opinion though, is that you are spending a lot of money for a product that You might not be getting the most out of, applying it to the arms and things like that. I sometimes recommend something else like a Badger or Babo Baby, these other brands of sunscreen that are, it's not as nuanced as far as the face, you know, and the skin of the face. So it wears really nicely on the face. It's very supportive for your signs of aging with the antioxidants, all that. Okay. So yeah, that, that's the sunscreen there. We do recommend daily wear. It does so it's not a waterproof sunscreen. if you're out in a light rain, if you're sweating a little bit, It's fine. But if you're actually submerging yourself, or if you're like going to An outdoor spin class or running a marathon where you're sweating a lot.
We weren't able to find a clean ingredient that bound it to the skin. So keep that in mind if you're doing an activity that you want to stay on. Either reapply as soon as you're out of the water or opt for a sunscreen that supports that activity a little bit more. Now any questions at all about products, usage, skin care, anything like that?
Customer: Okay. Thank you.
Yeah. So I'm here because I like my skin type.
I actually purchased one of your trial kits along with the pearl mask the other day and I should have that being delivered today. I'm very excited. But I am also an esthetician and I was curious to know if Anne Marie Skin Care works or partners with estheticians, if there is like a catalog that you have that you send out to professionals or how do we like access your product to, you know, provide services and stuff?
Sure.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, that's a great question. We do have a wholesale program and Grace, if you'll make a note, I can email Christina directly and get you in touch with our wholesale lead or our wholesale teammate. She's also a licensed esthetician and she's super knowledgeable as well. Yeah. And then from there, we can get you the info. There is a vetting process, but most people, if you are like, you know, fairly aligned with our brand values and it seems like you actually have a business, then we move forward with you. So I'll follow up with you directly after the call and get you in touch with Emily. she's got more info.
Customer: Thank you.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Perfect.
Customer: There was one in the chat asking which products can be used on the sensitive areas under and around the eye areas.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Oh, yeah. So, I will say, any of the products can be applied pretty much up to the orbital bone. The serums, the oils, the toning mists, all of that is great.
And actually the cleansers you can remove I make up with them. but we do have specific products. We have the Fruit Ceramide Eye Serum. This is a serum consistency, right? So it's a thinner, thinner consistency product.
It's a lot of ceramides and a lot of peptides. So this one's really designed for deeper lines, deeper creasing around the eye area. Then we got the Anti-Aging Eye Cream. My go to. I swear by this one. I love this one. It's got a pretty rich blend. It's not overly hydrating though. So I don't feel like it's too thick But it has stem cells.
We've got a lot of moisturizers Co Q10 Or ubiquinone hyaluronic acid, just this really nutritious blend to hydrate the eye area. And then one of the key ingredients also is cucumber distillate. And so it's really supportive for puffiness under the eyes. So lines, creasing. Drooping, puffiness, all of that, this can be supportive for. Usually if someone's on the fence, I say go with this one. I do think if you have, like if your concern is creasing, then that instance you might like the serum better, but nine times out of ten people prefer the eye cream.
And those are specifically designed for that, that really thin skinned area. You don't usually need to bring it too much above the orbital bone or, you know below the orbital bone. It's not that much more effective if you bring it all the way up to the lash line. The skin of the eye, this thin, the way it's kind of woven together, its products creep up.
And so if you apply it, you know, like a little bit above the orbital bone, it creeps up to where it needs to go. You don't necessarily have to bring it all the way up. Those are the two eye products. I recommend it. And honestly, if you want to boost this you can do, this is the eye cream, the concentrated boosting elixirs, that set has a booster called hydrate, which is just hyaluronic acid.
For a while I was mixing these two and overnight, like lumped up any creasing that was happening around my eyes. granted where I'm at in my life, it's not necessarily as deep as it might be for someone else, but pretty quickly it turned that around. So. Yeah, that's what I recommend around the eye area.
Customer: You didn't touch on exfoliants today, and as part of my trial kit, I have one that's called a Kaolin Micro exfoliant that I'm looking forward to trying. I just want a little bit more information on that and what can I expect because I have some bit of hyperpigmentation. I want to start exfoliating a bit more.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: So this one, the Kaolin Micro Exfoliant. So when you get this, the texture of it is essentially like what you probably picture when you picture facial scrub, but you squeeze it out of the tube. It's got a good amount of grit. Yours is going to come in a little pot. And so you just. scrape it out a little bit.
And it's got a good amount of texture to it. We don't use diatomaceous earth. We used to use diatomaceous earth, and there's the whole journey with that. But now we use a crushed bamboo stem. And so you, and it's rounded, so you're not scratching. The skin, you're not breaking the skin down. It's polishing the skin. The blend of this, we've got some essential oils. We've got kale and clay, so it's helping to kind of lift and detoxify as well. Your sample will probably be on the smaller side, but if you did invest in a larger one, it's also a nice body scrub. it's great for KP on the backs of the arms. So yeah, it's just a true physical exfoliant to the skin. When you rinse skin, it feels nice and exfoliated, smoothed, polished, all of that. Another exfoliant that down the road might be of interest to you or if you're wanting to incorporate some products into your practice The Resurfacing Facial Exfoliant, this one here, this is actually a gel consistency, but it utilizes a honey derived lactic acid. And so, we're using lactic acid, which is helpful for a lot of different concerns. It helps the skin swell. It's hard to get out to exfoliate the skin, which can actually, although counterintuitive, be helpful for exfoliating drier skin and also super helpful for pigmentation, because you get this swelling that swells and then sloughs off. So with hyperpigmentation, this is often one that I'll reach for. It's a little intense, so if skin is sensitive, I wouldn't reach for it. It's kind of like a baby peel, a baby chemical peel and chemical used in the sense of how it's exfoliating the skin, not necessarily the makeup of it because it just uses that honey derived lactic acid. So it is a more intense one, but it's also a deeper exfoliating experience. And so, you know, whether for you or in the treatment room down the road, This could be a good one. And honestly, whether again for you or in your treatment room, doing the resurfacing facial exfoliant and then following it with the illuminating pearl mask is a really lovely combination because you've got this deep exfoliation, but then this mask and I'll finish.
I'll say this and then. finish and I wore a little over time is really, it's great for sensitive skin, great for dry skin, but also great for pigmentation. This has uva ursi, this has licorice root, and so getting this as part of your routine once every 10 days or so can just really quickly expedite the process of lifting and fading that pigmentation.
And also it's really glowy the crushed pearl powder.
Customer: Yeah, it's really nice. I didn't know about the resurfacing facial exfoliant, but i'm gonna look into it right now because I like a good Peel.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Estheticians usually do.
We're like, how deep, how deep can we go? So, you know, you can steam with that one. You could exfoliate with the kale and micro exfoliant before. All of that. Let your skin be your guide. Cause it does get, you know, pretty active pretty quickly, but yeah, you can, you can go kind of hard if you want to with it.
Thank you. Well, I'm going to close this out because we're a few minutes over. If you find that you have more questions, you can shoot us an email at customer care and then Christina, I'll email you directly here either later today or might be first thing tomorrow just to connect you with Emily.
Thank you. Thank you guys. Yep. We'll see ya.
Customer: Thanks.
