Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: The Anti-Aging Serum is also kind of the like, safest it applies to the most types of skin types. And so if you aren't sure, if you're watching and you're just like, I just don't know, but I really want to, to try it out. This is a great one to start with or to land on. This is the one I use most.
Most mornings. It's just a very straightforward, solid serum. Aside from the hyaluronic acid, it also has this really nice floral blend. We've got edelweiss, we've got Life Everlasting Flower. What else is in that rose? Just like the scent of it and all of those provide this very nutritious antioxidant boost to help keep skin very strong and, and nice and taut looking.
So that's it. That's the Anti-Aging Serum. Now, the next one is the Citrus Stem Cell Serum and the consistency is essentially the same. The aspects of this one as the name suggests, it does have stem cells in it and stem cells are really interesting in terms of how they're helping skin because what stem cells do is they kind of seep into these like lower layers and as fresh skin cells come up, they will emulate the behavior of stem cells and stem cells on the market.
In terms of where they're derived, traditional stem cells can be bovine derived. They can be plant derived. They can be fish derived. But ours are citrus derived. All of any stem cell that we use would be a plant derived stem cell in our products here. So, these are citrus derived stem cells.
So this is great for skin that is starting to see grouping. This is great for skin that's starting to see the look of sagging or a loss of the look of elasticity. This can be super helpful for that. This one also has a blend of licorice root and and uva ursi. These 3 together are super potent for the look of dark spots but I won’t spend too much time on that because it didn't seem like that was a big concern with a lot of the group here.
But. Oh, I see a hand up. Okay, we'll get into it. So uneven skin tone, especially where there are the appearances of sun spots. The way that uva ursi and licorice root work with those, they're what's called tyrosinase inhibitors.
And so they get into the skin and they kind of sit on the darker skin tone and over time, they tell that area of darker tone to go back to sleep. And so, when you're working with pigmentation, you want to be incorporating some variation of a tyrosine inhibitor. A common one, that's not the clean version (that's also illegal overseas) is a hydroquinone.
Of course, our products wouldn't have any hydroquinone in it. But uva ursi and licorice root are natural ingredients that are highly recommended for this type of skin concern. So even lines that aren't clean will use uva ursi in their products just to have a gentler option for fading the look of dark spots on the face.
So this product kind of as a whole is that it tends to take about a full skin cycle for you to notice the difference. It requires a little bit of time and consistency for you to be using the product to allow it to kind of like build up in these darkened areas to start to see a faded look. And I typically will say it's like a full skin cycle for you to notice the difference.
It could be 2 to 3 for somebody else to notice the difference. It just kind of depends on the degree. And, you know, the size and how deep in the skin and, you know, all the factors that make you, you, but they, they. Kind of takeaway is that, you know, if you use this for a week and you're not seeing the look of dark spots fade, that's very, very normal.
And I do want to set expectations fairly with any of our products, but with brightening in general, that it takes a little bit of time. A little bit of time, a little bit of attention, energy, all of that. So that was the Citrus Stem Cell Serum. The next one, and this is the final one that's part of the signature collection, is the Probiotic Serum With Tremella.
This one is awesome for skin that is sensitive, for skin that's imbalanced. I have had so many customers where this kind of product supports soothing temporary redness and things like that. The blend of this one, so we have an olive leaf ferment. We've got a probiotic complex, the combination of those two when applied to the skin is they kind of, they feed the good bacteria on the face.
So they're designed to really. Kind of balance this skin flora. And your skin flora can be thrown off for a myriad of reasons. It could be a new medicine. It could be just a big change in hormones. It could be a really aggressive cleanser, a sunburn. I mean, it could be so small and depending on your sensitivity, like how sensitive you are, it could be food that throws it off.
So there could be lots of things that will exacerbate sensitivity on the face and This can help kind of just like, bring everything back into a balanced place. The probiotic aspect of it just brings skin back into homeostasis and then the tremella mushroom in here. It is a humectant as well. So much like hyaluronic acid, it finds moisture in its environment and it plumps up, which in this instance can be super helpful for skin.
That's really dry or is having this kind of flare up of sensitivity with the, Dryness as a byproduct of it. And, and that can help to soothe that there. I do like to note with this one, this has the, I think the most unique scent profile of all of them. It tends to be a little bit more kind of earthy smelling than the other serums.
And it is still, it's got a good blend. So it's not just like straight mushroom. It is. Nice and light, but because of the mushroom aspect of this it is a little bit just a little bit earthier than some of the others. And so call that out just to give you a heads up. It's not just mushroom. I comment because it did.
It used to be a lot earthier when when back when I started before we kind of like reblended it to give it this lighter scent. It just was a little bit earthier. So those are all in the Signature Collection. Now let's get into the Serums of the Wild Alchemy Collection. Let's do this 1st. This one is the Wild Fruit Serum and I will note.
This one is also 1. that's been super popular. So we are prepping to launch a larger size variation of this one to the Wild Fruit Serum is kind of. like addresses a broad scope of signs of aging. So this one we've got hyaluronic acid like the Anti-Aging Serum. I've got uva ursi like the Citrus Stem Cell Serum.
I've got stem cells in this one, like the Citrus Stem Cell Serum. I've also got kakadu plum, which is unique to this one, which is super vitamin C rich. And that, what that helps to do is kind of give this like bright, even tone to the skin. Vitamin C is incorporated oftentimes to, to brighten up the skin.
It can be helpful for, you know, singular spots or just overall dull complexion. Yeah, but this one for yeah, the, the uva ursi and the citrus stem cell, or the stem cells like the Citrus Stem Cell Serum. Yeah, to brighten, brighten up the skin. So a question I get here, kind of like when we did the phyto and the aloe is like, is this one better?
Then the Anti-Aging Serum, and again, not necessarily it's it might be for your skin type or your direction, but it's not necessarily better. I do think it is more pointed in addressing signs of aging. I think it's more direct in addressing signs of aging. You do have the. Stem cells in here, which are not in the Anti-Aging Serum and that can be helpful for more pronounced signs of aging, like the appearance of deeper lines, loss of the look of elasticity, all of that.
So, you know, things to keep in mind as you're shopping the scent of this one is pretty mild. It's just like, kind of light, light fruit. Yeah, just late and pretty. Quite pleasant. From here, we've got our larger one. So this one is the CBD serum the Activated CBD Serum. It only comes in this size. And I will say as you're shopping for it, it is Is going to take you to a different website.
It's likely going to have you verify that you are 21. I'm pretty sure it still does that. And you would check out through that site and all of that. You don't pay shipping there. And this is kind of our work around, because this is how we're legally able to retail a CBD product in the US. And also, if you're joining us overseas or internationally at all.
I can't send this to you. We can't ship it to you. I'm so sorry. The body of this one is pretty full. So pumped into my hand here. It's much richer than the other serums. The blend of this one, of course, has the CBD in it. We do use two CBDs, or two forms of CBD. We've got water soluble and fat soluble.
Which so far, I, this is the only product that I've seen, only serum, only topical product that I've seen that carries both of those. And that's beneficial because what happens with Both of those, you get this immediate absorption of the water soluble, and then you get this kind of cumulative effect that happens with the fat soluble, whereas sitting like higher up, it's working on different areas of the skin, the layers of the skin.
Right now and yeah, just working in in the body in a different way. And CBD in and of itself is really, really interesting. We use oh, high energetics CBD and oh, high energetics is this like market lead. They have 12 patents as far as their CBD extraction and how they make their CBD bio available. They, their brand has like topical, oral, you could do tinctures, they've got a CBD coconut oil, like they have a whole line of products, but they, we've used their CBD in here and How CBD works with the body, your body has this internal endocannabinoid system, which essentially needs some variation of supplementation, but then acts as this internal triage.
So it tends to go where it needs to go. So CBD is really interesting because marketing it can be kind of complicated because it can do a lot of different things. Things and address a lot of different issues. That's not, you know, kind of singular, like the uva ursi. That's great for pigmentation. In fact, we know exactly what that's doing.
CBD can help in a lot of different ways. So because it is kind of like the skin helper, the skin support, it does lend itself really nicely to skin that has any sort of issue going on, whether that's temporary redness, super, super dry, sensitive skin, yeah, dryness and sensitivity are big ones that this one can be supportive for.
And it's not just the CBD. If you took out the CBD, the blend would still be that rich kind of full bodied blend because the way we have formulated this, we've got two different types of hydrators. We've got both tremella and hyaluronic acid, and then we've got this beautiful blend of really rich antioxidants.
So superoxide dismutase, astaxanthin What else is in this one? Cumin, black cumin seed. All of these that are pretty potent in terms of addressing signs of aging are blended in this as well. So the skin types that love this one tend to be drier skin types, tend to be kind of like aging, starting to see signs of aging skin that's got any sort of, Discomfort or you know, it's working on a particular issue, such as temporary redness, such as sensitivity, things like that.
Yeah, or someone who just really likes a richer serum. This oftentimes is my evening serum. I really, really love the blend of it. I have Dry, kind of normal to dry skin, but I get really red cheeks. My cheeks just get super red there, and I feel like this, you know, just kind of helps keep that at bay.
I really, I notice if I go a few days without using this particular one. I see Grace nodding, and I wonder, yeah, this is your go to, too. Yeah, it's a good one. I do use this in the evening more often though, because it's thicker. She's a little bit richer. I will say because of the body, you tend to get, like, this tends to last a little bit longer, especially if you use a toning mist and you mist skin generously.
You don't use quite as much at all as you might with another of the serums. So that's something I keep in mind when I'm investing in the larger size of the product, is that it goes, a little bit goes a long way. One more serum and then we'll get into questions. So the final one, this is the Activated Night Serum and I will comment We're out of stock at this one of this one at the moment But I want to highlight it because it is pretty unique The key ingredient in this one is what's called our Bioactive A-Complex and that's there basically our version of a retinol We don't use retinols, so we don't use retinols, retinols vitamin A derivatives in the form of retinols in any of our products.
Traditional retinol, you know, you can kind of do your own research, but it actually is known to weaken the skin over time. It can be very caustic. We wanted something that still had that effect of like really taut, very smooth, almost like glossy, glassy skin that wasn't You know. Breaking skin down, essentially, and so we've worked for quite a while to find this particular product.
And we actually, and I'll talk about these soon, but we, we launched that ingredient with the Concentrated Boosting Elixirs. This particular one Brighten, and when we were launching that set, our CEO was pregnant and so she really wanted something that was safe for the body at any stage in life. And that's essentially where the Bioactive A-Complex came in.
That one is still pretty intense for me. The Activated Night Serum. I can usually use it 2 to 3 nights in a row and then I need to take a break from it. It is a little bit. It can get quite active and that's intentional. We wanted to have something that still provided this. smooth effect to the skin, but did not wasn't quite as yeah, aggressive and caustic like, like a retinol.
The body of it though, I'll show you again in this one too, it is still that kind of full, rich body. So even though we have this ingredient, this Bioactive A that's designed to exfoliate the skin we still wanted it to have this kind of like immediate. Re, what, rehydration, re moisturization that happens so that the skin doesn't get too stripped too quickly.
The scent is pretty null. There's not too much to comment about it. It's quite mild. But the feel of it, yeah, used, used. Especially a couple nights in a row is pretty active, but because of the Bioactive A-Complex, it does still increase photosensitivity, which is why we have this as a night serum. We want this to be worn overnight.
Also, just with that ingredient and the full body of this, it does lend itself really nicely to your rest and repair cycle. So, as you're sleeping, your body's kind of recovering a lot of different ways. This fits right in and is quite synergistic with that process. And so. This is for evening use only and we also wouldn't recommend this if you're like, about to wake up and go to a beach vacation or something like that, just similarly to the guidelines that you would keep in mind for retinol, we, we do that for our Bioactive A, then Activated Night Serum as well.
I'm going to pause here. This, the serums are all over the place. You might, you might have questions or Grace may have gotten to them in the chat, but what questions do we have for me, if any.
Grace – Annmarie Skin Care Marketing Assistant: There's one in the chat that I answered, but I just wanted to make sure if you had any additional recommendations, but is the Activated CBD Serum good for temporary redness, which I want to know what it is.
I am concerned with anti-aging drying and temporary redness, so I'm wondering my best serum. I had mentioned that the CBD serum is fantastic. I just wanted to see on the off chance if you had something else you would recommend since anti-aging is a concern as well.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Totally, yeah, I think that that would probably be the one that I would recommend as well because of how like hydrating it is.
And it's not just, it's not just CBD. It's not just hydration. We do have that antioxidant blend that is designed to be addressing signs of aging. The only potential caveat would be if the primary concern was loss of the look of elasticity, and then I might recommend. maybe the Wild Fruit and maybe even like an alternation.
So Wild Fruit in the morning, CBD in the evening. But CBD is likely going to be the most supportive initially for temporary redness. And so as those are happening and until they're kind of in a place of being more or less controlled or they're not happening quite as often, the CBD is probably going to be the most ideal for that concern.
So, I do think it sounds like you nailed it. Perfect. Thanks.
Grace – Annmarie Skin Care Marketing Assistant: And then one just came in the chat. I want to know more about the research on Retin A, but I'm pretty sure it's Bioactive A-Complex. What if you use it for two months on and two months off? And I do want to mention that we will be posting a blog post on the research behind it and where it's sourced as well.
So that is coming at least down the line very soon, but wanted to see your thoughts there.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah, so I off the top of my head, the research is I don't quite remember. So bunny, who is our formula leader was the one who kind of came across this ingredient and Bioactive A is an algae derivative and it's fairly new on the market and Yeah, I think what we might do is capture your email.
So I can gather that information directly and send it over because I don't, I don't have that. I don't have that to share in the moment. Yeah, the, what I can speak to is the comparison. And so we did look at a lot of different options. So we looked at I can't remember how you pronounce it's like, there's another retinol alternative.
We looked at that one. There was. Another one that we looked at, that's a retinal alternative and they're on the market and I'm sure they're lovely and fine. What we liked about the Bioactive A, it was that it was made safe certified. And so we. You know, we had this third party verifying that it was safe for the body and safe for the body kind of at any level.
Pregnant, not pregnant, breastfeeding, not breastfeeding, like all of that variation, which the other things that will, so retinol itself, there is, What kind of counter evidence that it would not be you wouldn't use a retinol when you're pregnant in case that crossed the bloodstream. You would not want that to get in touch with the baby.
And then the buccal canal and the other ingredient that I can't remember at the top of my head. It wasn't that there was counter evidence. There just wasn't research that verified that it was safe for the body. And so that's why we went this route and not. One of the other two routes. Yeah, I'm going to have grace capture your email and we'll get in touch with you directly because we can get a more detailed answer.
As far as the research behind the boo. Well, if I can share that if you want the Bioactive A-Complex.
Cool. Any other questions about the serums anyone sitting here just like really wondering what serum is best for them because We still have oils, but we're okay on time. And I want to make sure everyone feels supported in the call. Yeah. I see Grace. It looks like, yeah. You're still wondering what's best for you.
Yeah. Do you want to talk about like your skin a little bit and maybe we can recommend one for you?
Customer: Yeah. It's on the dry side. The super dryness that I have is on my body, not on my face. There's no sensitivity and I have the look of dark spots. Thinning. So I mean, the stem cell one sounds interesting. Yeah. Yeah. Sure.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah. So based on that information, I would recommend one of two. So either the Citrus Stem Cell I was going to show you, but yeah. I, I tucked 'em away. The Citrus Stem Cell or the Wild Fruit Serum, and both of those have ingredients that are gonna be supportive for fading dark areas of the face.
So sun spots, and they also are going to have stem cells. Now the citrus stem cell is a little bit more stem cell potent. But it's not, it doesn't. Have quite as much of a hydrating factor. So the Wild Fruit Serum does have hyaluronic acid, it also has kakadu plum, so it's got uva ursi, which is helpful for like a singular spot.
For the look of dark spots, the kakadu plum, kakadu plum it, however we wanna go with it. It has a lot of vitamin C, which can be helpful for brightening the complexion overall. And. If you are kind of seeing like a dullness or like an overall dull or loss of the look of elasticity the Wild Fruit Serum can be a little bit more like whole picture brightening and then is a little bit more hydrating than the Citrus Stem Cell Serum.
So one of those two I think would be best. You could probably use any of them and be fine, but one of those two is going to be most supportive for working on those concerns. Okay, super.
Customer: How long would you, how long do you see the hydrating happen like that. Is it immediate?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah. So the hyaluronic acid, the serums that have hyaluronic acid and tremella mushroom, it's pretty immediate.
Usually overnight and that's just the nature of those ingredients and they can compound, right? So as you use them longer, but like hyaluronic acid, for example, if your skin is a little bit damp, when you apply it, it's immediately finding that moisture and plumping up in the skin because that's what a humectant does.
And I honestly think that's one of the reasons that the Anti-Aging Serum is such a big seller is because there's a pretty immediate difference is hydration. And and also the name. So, like, people are just looking for something anti-aging. That's that's kind of a go to, but you see a difference pretty quickly.
The Wild Fruit Serum, though, also has highly run a gas and so that immediate kind of overnight effect of that one thing. It's pretty quick. If you're not seeing it the first night, I mean, within the first three days would be when I would expect for you to feel that, but usually it's pretty quickly that you see it.
Great. Thank you. Anyone else? There
Grace – Annmarie Skin Care Marketing Assistant: is another one in the chat saying, I have damage from radiation around my mouth due to cancer treatment. What is the best serum you would recommend?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Unfortunately, I can't provide meidcal advice nor answer questions like this due to the FDA. However, I will do my best to address any cosmetic concerns related to this question. My follow up question would potentially be how recent is it and is it still sensitive because that might affect my answer.
And so I'll answer both ways if it's fairly recent and or there's still activity with it. So, sensitivity, if it gets irritated quickly, if you have sensation as a result, I would likely do the Probiotic Serum.
If enough time has passed and the concern is more, you know, potentially the look of coloring or discoloration from it. You could then do the Wild Fruit or or the Citrus Stem Cell Serum – either one of those. Either one of those will be helpful to kind of evade that appearance of darkness and Yeah, also uneven skin tone is interesting because a lot of it is time and a lot of it is sun protection. So whether it's unevenness from other skin concerns, that's a really common one.
Post-surgery, so if you had stitches anywhere, keeping that protected, we do have a really high quality sunscreen just so that isn't exacerbated. And that's especially important on the face. So, when there's some sort of damage, you know, tissue damage, cellular damage, making sure that the darkened areas aren't exacerbated by UV exposure to the degree that you're able to right.
We live in the world. And so you're probably gonna be out in the sun at some point, but just something to keep in mind with any pigmentation is sun protection is helpful to
Grace – Annmarie Skin Care Marketing Assistant: perfect. Thank you.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Okay, cool. Let's get it. Let's keep moving. I'm going to talk about these. These are the Concentrated Boosting Elixirs.
What these are, these are a set of three concentrated boosters. For your products you can mix it into your serum. You can mix a couple drops into your oil. Serum and oil are the most common. You can technically mix them into a mask and they are perfectly fine there too. I feel like the price point on them is kind of high and so I want them to stay on my face versus being washed off in 15 minutes, but you have that option.
They, yeah, they're, they're three different ones and they have three different purposes essentially. The first one I'll mention is the Hydrate, and this is a blend of hyaluronic acid and peptides. It is, I think we have one other ingredient, and I can't remember if it's aspen bark or what it is that acts as a suspension, like keeps everything going.
Playing together, but otherwise it's super simple. It's a thinner consistency. It's more like watery consistency and the color of this can range. It can be super clear. It can be a little bit golden that that range is normal. This can be used morning and evening. So you can do this in the morning, you can do this in the evening.
And what this is doing, this is a very concentrated dose of hyaluronic acid. And so it is plumping up the skin, right? We talked about the humectant paired with peptides. Peptides are these like protein chain strengtheners, which help to keep skin lifted and strong. This is awesome for the look of fine lines, especially around the eyes.
I love the way this feels blended with the eye cream, right? So do like a pump of the eye cream and then like one drop of the Hydrate. You don't need much of either. I also love the way this looks on the forehead. I feel like this has been. Just a game changer for the look of my own fine lines across my forehead.
Keeping that just feeling and looking so plump and taut. Because this one can be used morning and evening, it tends to go pretty quickly. Also, some people find that the other two are a little too aggressive. And so we did launch this one on its own. The, this, this is the Hydrate in a larger bottle.
It is sold separately, of course, but if you get this set and you're like, This is the one I really love. The others could give them or take them, but you can purchase this on its own and it's awesome. It's, it feels so, so nice. How you're using it, you do however many drops of your serum. I usually do like two, maybe a pump and a half to two pumps into the palm of my hand.
You do anywhere from one to three drops of your chosen booster and then just mix it and apply it. Because the consistency of the Hydrate is nice and thin, I do also like to put that into my oil, especially if we're getting into warmer months and I feel like my skin's already like a little more on the normal side than normal to dry.
I like to do that just to kind of thin out my oil a little bit but you, you certainly don't have to. It lends itself lovely into either. The next one is the Brighten, and this is vitamin C and seabuckthorn berry. And much like the Bioactive A-Complex, finding a shelf sufficient stable vitamin C that is not petroleum derived was a labor of love for us in crafting this product.
Vitamin C, like we've kind of mentioned throughout, it is really an overall skin brightener. And so this can be supportive both in brightening the look of dark spots and in brightening the overall complexion. Especially, I know several people had mentioned that they're starting to see their skin dull a little bit.
So Feel like skin is dulled a little bit. This can be just a really quick way to brighten up the complexion. The last one is the Revitalize, and this one is the Bioactive A-Complex. So, the one that we've kind of mentioned with the Activated Night Serum. The Revitalize and the Brighten are very concentrated.
We really, really, like, don't put these directly on the face. You want to have some sort of a medium to use these. But what's really cool about these is that they lend themselves nicely to sensitive skin as well, because you can really customize how much you're putting on at any point in time. The Revitalize we, of course, suggest in the evening.
So this is, you know, you do this one in the evening and and not in the morning for reasons we mentioned before increases photosensitivity is pretty active. I also tend to use a lot less of this 1. I do like a drop, maybe two drops in the evening. But if you wanted to get really wild, you can technically boost the Activated Night Serum.
So you could do a couple drops of this and have like a very like potent night treatment. It would not be every night. Unless your skin is really tough, but for most people, it would not be an every night sort of treatment but you can, you can do that. Because we recommend this one in the evening, the Brighten oftentimes is your morning booster.
We don't recommend them together. They're not It's not like it's going to hurt your skin or anything, but what happens is vitamin C and the Bioactive A kind of almost cancels each other out when it's on the skin and it's most supportive to use them use one in the morning and one in the evening. You can technically use the Brighten in the evening.
You would just want to take a night off of the Revitalize. And then, of course, the Hydrate can be mixed with either of them. You could do 2 drops of the Brighten and 2 drops of the Hydrate, a drop of the Revitalize 3 drops of the Hydrate, like, you can kind of kind of play with them. But that's why the Hydrate tends to go go through it pretty quickly.
Yeah, so those, those are these are these and, there are really great way to kind of customize your routine and customize what you are doing to suit your needs quite nicely. So any questions about those? Cause you are, they are going to come to you and make sure you feel comfy.
I have a question. Yeah. I had kind of a reaction, I think in response to. I don't know what it was in response to because I just started using a bunch of stuff like at the same time, you know, so one, my question is, can you like over feed your skin? And then to, sorry, could you just repeat what you said about not putting in directly on your skin?
So then what do we do?
Yeah. Yeah. So I'll start there and then I'll go back, go to the other point. So these, these are boosters for your product. And so what you will want to do is you'll do like however much of your serum and or oil in the palm of your hand. So if I was doing my oil, I would do like, you know, a pump, half a pump to a full pump.
I don't use very much of that oil. It goes pretty far. That's generally how it is into the palm of my hand. And then I drop into it however many drops of the boosting elixir. So let's say I want two drops of the right Revitalize two drops, mix it in my hand. And then apply and for all of my products, this is just an aside.
I tend to do hand first and then I go cheeks, forehead, nose, chin. Like I just distribute it and then come in and apply it. You don't use as much doing it that way, but that is how you'll want to. I don't want to apply it. And that would be your serum or your oil. They don't want, we don't want them to go directly onto the skin because of how concentrated they are.
And I have actually, I have tried it. I just, I wanted to know so I could tell you guys what it's like. So it is not comfortable and I don't recommend it. So do mix it into something make sure that you have some sort of a medium to keep, to keep it comfy on your face. So there's that. And then can you use too much?
Yes. So this is really common with oils and with serums. All of the products, generally speaking, are, have a higher level of antioxidants. And for most skin types, this isn't too, like, they might not even notice. There might not be any reaction. But for somebody who's either sensitive, Or somebody who's coming from either a super simple routine or kind of more traditional like Maybe drugstore cleansers and moisturizers and things like that this high like live product basically It can create kind of this almost like an antioxidant kickback What happens or tends to happen is they're like The small bumps in these thin skinned areas that can be like sides of the mouth, sometimes like all the way down to the chin sides of the nose are really common top of the lip is really common, even up on the sides of the mouth here.
That is primarily where I see it. I think technically it can happen anywhere, but it tends to happen where thin skin is really thin. And what's happened is it's just this over like your skin's reacting to this high amount of concentration active live. Antioxidant rich ingredients. And so the solve for that, it can look a different way depending on well, if it's uncomfortable anytime you're experiencing, like, intense discomfort or reaction, I always say, just just stop and you can reintegrate one at a time.
I do work with a lot of customers who are so eager and love the product so much. They just really want to do it all at once. But there is. There is sometimes a method to the, to the madness. So integrating one at a time can be a way to alleviate it. It also can be helpful for your pocketbook to just like, invest in one or two and start there.
Another thing could just be to write it out. So it, it, it's tech. not technically generally about two weeks oftentimes less, but about two weeks that that experience would be happening. And then it starts to fade. Your skin has kind of adjusted. It's kind of like come back into its, its normal state.
If it's lasting longer than two weeks, if it's really red if it's other places than those thin skinned areas, I would ask the question of like, is this an actual reaction to something? Because That absolutely can happen, especially with so many plant ingredients to have allergies and things like that.
But for those small little bumps. It's not atypical. It definitely happens. And yeah, you can either kind of like slow down how you're introducing them or just write it out and, and see how that feels. Cool. I want to hit oils. I want to make sure we hit oils. So I'm going to hit those quickly and then we can pause again and answer questions.
For this group, we are going to talk about three, We're gonna talk about three of them. And I'm going to start with the Anti-Aging Facial Oil. And just like the serum comes in two sizes, you've got the 30. You can see both the sizes here. This is a very tried and true like cult following facial oil they Anchor oil in this, all of our oils start with kind of like their anchor oil.
This one is a jojoba and jojoba mimics skin's natural oil pretty closely. And so this is a really great one for skin that's dry. Skin that's even normal to dry. This is also helpful for skin That's starting to see signs of aging. Has fine lines. Kind of crepe y texture, all of that. This is my personal favorite.
I adore the scent of it. It don't, I don't know how to describe it. It's kind of like jojoba. A lot, it's a lot of jojoba. And just the blend of it is like, So amazing the way we create our oils, we start with our oil, our anchor oil, whatever it is, and then we steep into it either different ingredients, plant extracts, whole plants different oils, things like that.
And then it's strained and then it's bottled. We do make sure that the heat does not go above 90 degrees and that's in order to maintain just the nutritional value of the oils that we're using also just to comment on seed oils because seed oils are there's a lot of buzz around seed oils. We.
Anytime we're using a seed oil we are either using expeller pressed or cold pressed. And so we aren't using any that have had this kind of like intense heat that it would cause them to go rancid like you might see in some food oils. So we keep it, keep the heat low, keep everything from like, You know, to maintain as much nutrition as we're going through the process this one has a lot of skin strengtheners.
So we've got broccoli seed, we've got chia seed, we've got goji berry, all of these are providing this kind of like nutritional complex to keep skin very strong and just kind of like taut and glowy. This one, if you're super dry, I'm going to talk about four. If you're super, super dry and don't have too much sensitivity, this is probably the most ideal for you.
If you are really, really sensitive, I'll tell you which one I want to recommend, but dry skin, skin that's starting to see signs of aging, skin that's staving off signs of aging This is the one I would recommend for you. Yeah, this is my personal favorite. I used to never wear it. And then one day I picked it back up and was like, what have I been doing?
I love it. I will say when I first tried it, I did have a reaction. And I think I thought that I clogged my pores. That it was too heavy. It was too much. And so I didn't go back to it for a long time. I think in hindsight, I had just started the entire line at once. And so everything was a little bit reactive.
But I do, I do really love that one. Yeah. The, what I would recommend for sensitive skin, this is, this is loosely what it looks like. This product is actually a little bit different, but the one for sensitive skin would be the herbal facial oil for sensitive skin. So if you are someone who has temporary redness.
If you're somebody who gets dry and irritated, so skin gets a little bit like tender or red the herbal facial oil for sensitive skin is a little bit lighter. So, it starts with the grape seed oil, but then it's got a lot of skin soother. So, such a camellia seed squalling all of these that are just kind of like soothing skin.
Skin the herbal facial oil for sensitive skin. Also, we have not included any added essential oils into it. And so almost all of our products will have some variation of an essential oil used intentionally you know, to kind of continue to cultivate the purpose of the product. But we do know that for some skin types, it can be a little bit intense.
And so that particular oil does not have any added essential oil. So, for sensitive skin types. That would most likely be the one I would suggest. The next one, and then I've got one more, this one is the Rejuvenating Facial Oil. This is kind of my second favorite. It kind of dances between this one and the next one I'll talk about is my second favorite.
This one is kind of a step up in addressing signs of aging. So whereas with all the other products we start with our oil, we steep it, we strain it, we bottle it. We still did that with this. So we've got this steeped oil and then strained it. But then what we did was we added the active ingredient directly into the blend, which we haven't done with the essential or with the other oils.
By adding the whatever actives we wanted to use, black cumin seed, blue tansy what was the other one? Butterfly pea flower. We, we've kind of like maxed out how active we could make a facial oil while still making it comfortable for morning and evening use. And so with this one, this one is very pointed for like more pronounced signs of aging, loss of the look of elasticity like skin that's texture is off.
So if you're starting to see like some areas are normal, some are oily, some are dry, this is super helpful for kind of bringing everything into this very softened place. It does still start with an organic golden jojoba, so it's also super moisturizing. But because it's so active, this one is pretty common to have kind of that like The antioxidant reaction essentially with this one and so that's a lot of feedback that we get and how we work with that is we either will dilute it so like do a pump of this or and a pump of another oil or just like use this one just in the evening just be a little bit more intentional with integrating this one because this one your skin can can have something to say in response to it.
The smell of it's really light and the color of it's kind of this like green. Almost hue. It's the blue tansy with that golden jojoba that has that bluish, creamy look to it. Smells really nice though. And then the last one, and then we can pause, even though we've got a million more products, we can pause is the herbal facial oil for oily skin.
And I wanted to call this one out because this is super helpful for areas that have larger pores. And it might look like you're using this one just in that area, It might look like you're using this one, you know, this is, you use this every other night, but this one, one of the ingredients in it bitter orange leaf extract is helpful.
It actually like a, like a poor, like helping to like get in there and like break down what is causing a poor to expand, right? Cause a poor, poor is not, change in size directly, they contract and expand and as we age and our skin cell cycle turns down or turns over a little more slowly, that can be kind of a buildup and that can cause the pore to expand a little bit.
And so using something like this that really gets into a pore, even if you just use it for a short while and then integrate like a scrub like the Kaolin Micro Exfoliant more regularly to keep that nice and fresh and smooth and all that, that, that might be the This is also super helpful for bumps and roughness.
This is what I use to spot address any uneven skin texture. So I cleanse my skin wherever the uneveness is, I just put this on. This oil is designed to control oil, right? So it's this very light hazelnut oil. There's some grapeseed oil in it as well.
But then we've got neem and white willow bark. So if you're an oilier complexion, it helps because it just absorbs excess oil. But then we also have a lot of like skin soothers in here that can help to soothe irritated skin. So for bumps and uneven skin texture. You know kind of the conventional model is to like do salicylic acid or glycolic acid or even benzyl peroxide or something that will really kind of exfoliate it quickly to get into it to move it off and that, that's works for some people and that's awesome, but this is kind of this different angle where it's working to soothe the sensitive skin that's happening pretty immediately and pretty directly.
Soothe the temporary redness, soothe the look of puffiness, all of that and just overnight. So I keep this, even though I wouldn't describe my skin as oily, I keep this around to spot address any roughness.
We are at time. So whoever needs to hop off can hop off. I've definitely got a few minutes. If there are more questions, if we want to hang around for a minute or 2.
Customer: For my husband, who's listening, who has oily skin and large pores, because there was so much in this that I tried to take notes, but can you just give me the, the serum and the oil
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: for a large.
Yeah, for large pores. So for serum, I would do the Citrus Stem Cell because that is the lightest in terms of hydration. For the oil, I would do the herbal facial oil for oily skin.
Customer: Hey, is there any could I use any of these oils or serums for my dry spots, which are kind of large and very sometimes sensitive.
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Yeah. Thank you for bringing that back up. And I'm glad you're you're on a few minutes. So you can all of the products are safe to be used on the face or the body.
This isn't necessarily the reverse right? So face can go on body body can always go on face. But there is a product that we have for the body. It's called our Radiant Skin Silk. And this has a reputation for being particularly helpful for flare ups like that. And so the texture of this, it's a very light lotion.
It's also a great hand lotion. So, you know, anyone else who isn't working with dryness or other issues, like it just absorbs really nicely. But this can be helpful to kind of soothe the scalier areas that happen. That, yeah, it's kind of got this like reputation, I guess, for helping with those issues. So that would be what I would recommend on the body.
If you, you know, if you're in a particular flare up and want something that will more immediately soothe it, the Coconut Honey Mask. This is a blend of coconut oil, honey, Beeswax and vanilla it's got this really beautiful texture and suspension, but it's also super helpful for areas that are really flaky.
And just really, really irritated. And so a combination, you know, when you have, like, dryness, that can be a little bit of both of those, this mask can be helpful. It is really sticky though, and so it would definitely be something that you want to use, like, while you're seated or, like, Not necessarily like before you put pants on and go out into the world and then you leave it on for however long you want and rinse it and it's good to go.
But that that's like a targeted targeted support for those areas.
Customer: Okay, super. Thank you.
Grace – Annmarie Skin Care Marketing Assistant: Yeah, there's one in the chat. That's just asking quickly for a routine for pigmentation and brightening. I can do that and I'll do it super quickly. Phytonutrient.
Depending on how dry you are, you might do either the botanical or the neroli, one of those two. Also, depending on how dry you are, you would do either the Wild Fruit or the citrus stem serum. And then the oil, the most supportive for brightening the skin is the rejuvenating. If it's too hydrating though, any of the others can be helpful too.
But this does have ingredients that can help with, with darkened areas of the face. The Rejuvenating Facial Oil, and you could go further. You could do the resurfacing facial exfoliant once a week, once every 2 weeks. You could do the illuminating pearl mask. at least once a week, more frequently if your skin can handle it.
This does have uva ursi, licorice root amla berry, a lot of vitamin c, a lot of hydrators too. That one's helpful for fading pigmentation. And then pretty consistently be using the brightening or the brighten elixir. It's like the fastest, the fastest version. And obviously that's without me seeing or touching your face.
So, but just with that information, that's what I would do.
Customer: Hi, Kate. Yeah, hi. I I don't know if it was addressed, my question earlier about the stem cell. What kind of stem cell are being used in your product?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: They're all plant derived and they'll vary a little bit from product to product. Mostly they're either a citrus derived stem cell. And so those are from orange peel extract or orange peel, the orange peel, the peel of an orange.
And then the other one, I don't remember that one off the top of my head. I think that is a, it's a vegetable derived stem cell, but I don't remember what the plant is. Specific one for that is, but if you're looking at the Citrus Stem Cell or the Wild Fruit Serum or the Illuminating what's the other one?
Those 2, oh, the, the eye serum, which we didn't get to either. All of those are the, the citrus derived stem cells.
Customer: What eye serum do you use? Would you recommend what you're using right now?
Kate – Annmarie Skin Care In-House Esthetician: Well, so what I personally use most of the time is the Anti-Aging Eye Cream and that does have stem cells also. I think this one is the vegetable derived one, but I can't remember what the vegetable is. We do also have this Fruit Ceramide Eye Serum.
They are different and so this one is a true serum. It's a pretty thin consistency. It does have a lot of ceramides and peptides, and so it's ideal for skin that's like really starting to see the look of deep lines or a loss of the look of elasticity. So, like, when you're starting to see the brow drooping, the eye cream, it's a creamier texture, as the name suggests.
It's super hydrating and super soothing for the appearance of puffy eyes. This is why I swear by this one. To make a long story short I used to manage a day spa before I even like knew of the brand and we carried this And I would recommend this even though we had multiple other lines available because for me And for a lot of customers The way it de puffs the eye area Cucumber Distillate CoQ10, those two ingredients it's, it's pretty potent.
So this is the one I recommend, you know, if you've got to choose one, I would say this one. If you have more pronounced appearance of deep lines, the other one can help too. So that, that's that. Those are the eye products. Okay, well, you guys are awesome. Thank you so much. Everyone who spent so much time with us. We did go over a little bit, but I want to honor everyone's time.
So we're going to close it out here. If you do have more questions, you can certainly email us grace put the customer care in the chat, but it's on the website too.
