Since the conception of Annmarie Skin Care in 2009, we have created some of the purest products in the market—formulating with wildcrafted and organic ingredients, using the purest cold pressed seed oils and practicing true intention with every step in production.
That will never change, nor will our philosophy: If you can’t eat it, you shouldn’t be putting it on your skin. Each and every formula that we bottle is free from alcohols, chemicals, harsh preservatives, and synthetic fragrances. We’ve been committed to this since the beginning, as everything we do is a deep understanding of harm-free ingredients, an ongoing assessment of safety standards and the latest research, and a series of eco-friendly initiatives.
It all starts with a process—namely, our 3-step, proprietary Energized, Botanical Infusion Process. We’re going to dive into this process and why it’s so vital to Annmarie Skin Care formulations, touching on each step so you know exactly what you’re putting on your skin.
At Annmarie Skin Care, all of the ingredients we use are hand-selected and then infused into base oils and aloe vera juice. From there, we add additional plant extracts and ingredients to increase their efficacy, and the result is beautiful, glowing skin. Our products go through the most minimal amount of processing possible (if any) to ensure that the alive and active ingredients are not compromised.
Step 1: Curation
We formulate as close to nature as possible and consider a variety of factors—starting with you, the customer. What are your skin goals and the results you want to achieve?
That’s where our Energized, Botanical Infusion Process begins, starting with Curation. We carefully curate organic and wildcrafted ingredients, from herbs like milk thistle, calendula, and echinacea to high-vibration plant extracts and more. They meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness for your skin and body. Plus we’ve forged relationships with farmers and continually audit our sources in order to maintain our standards of purity and sustainability.
Take four seed oils in our recently-released Rejuvenating Facial Oil, for instance: baobab oil, marula oil, mongongo oil, and moringa oil. We sourced these botanicals from South Africa ethically and intentionally, without harming the local ecosystem. The farm employs over 1,000 Botswana citizens who are paid fair wages—including farmers and coordinators—across 25 villages, several of which are certified organic.
This is vital to us, since ingredients need to be great for your skin, the planet, and its people.
Step 2: Infusion
Each formula has its own unique blend of herbs combined specifically for that product—its purpose and the skin type it’s intended for. We infuse these hand-selected herbs into organic aloe vera and skin-nutritive oils at a low heat (never over 95°) to extract all of the beneficial properties of these herbs. These botanical infusions are then left to steep for up to 30 days, while being energized by crystals before serving as a potent base for all our formulas.
Step 3: Creation
After the herb-infusion comes the last phase in our unique, intentional process. We add in CO2 extracts, cold-pressed seed oils, antioxidant-rich botanicals, steam-distilled flower oils, and synergistic plant stem cells to deliver skin-supporting nutrients and luxurious aromatherapy.
The result? Naturally effective skin care, with all of its active ingredients intact.

- Palo Santo wood oil, which is wildcrafted in Ecuador and sustainably harvested solely from fallen trees and branches by our supplier, who has planted over 30,000 trees back into the area and continues to support farmworkers with a fair wage. - Butterfly Pea Flower extract, which is farmed in Thailand, where our sourcing partner works with families to harvest this fast-growing vine with organic practices. Included in our Rejuvenating Facial Oil.
- Helichrysum distillate, which is organically grown and sustainably harvested in Corsica, France. Included in our Botanical Hydration Mist with Immortelle.
- Tremella mushroom extract, which is cultivated by a father-and-son duo who were among the first North Americans to bring organic mushroom extracts to the US. Included in our Probiotic Serum with Tremella.
What Does It Mean When Skin Care Is “Crystal-energized?”
Intention infuses everything that we formulate, starting at our Colorado lab. This isn’t a conventionally white-walled space; the scent alone is the first indication. Instead of anything sterile or synthetic, nature’s incredible aroma fills the air, as if you just inhaled a bouquet of herbs and uplifting florals. It is a pristine, ultra-sanitized area, of course, but the focus is on purposeful energy to create the purest, most energized products possible, and it starts with the lab technicians. They are encouraged to clear their own energy before they enter the work space and their attention remains wholly on the products and adding positive intention to them. There are comfortable places for meditation in various meeting places around the lab’s offices, to ensure a peaceful, quiet, and positive atmosphere.
The atmosphere is also enhanced by crystals, which reside on almost every surface of the lab and any machines that are running. Crystals help to ground and open the area to positive intention, along with helping to hold and resonate the energy throughout the entire space, which feels breathtakingly peaceful. There is amethyst abound, along with pyramids that increase focus and promote positive energy. The walls are adorned with sacred geometry, which mimics shapes commonly found in nature, as we want to honor her in every stage of the process—from the space where we create the products to the final formulas themselves.
This is exactly what we mean when we say our skin care is energized—crystal-energized. When it comes to formulas that evoke nature herself, we believe in channeling intentions that heal in a deeply earthbound way. This, to us, is how magic can be bottled, shared, and experienced.

SACCHARIDE ISOMERATE
To hydrate and soothe deeply, saccharide isomerate, or PENTAVITIN®, is a 100% naturally-derived plant extract that’s bursting with hydrating properties, and gives improved skin protection against dehydration and sensitivity with every use. We use this incredible alternative to hyaluronic acid in the Wild Fruit Serum, as well, because it suits sensitive skin better and can’t be washed away like hyaluronic acid. It binds deep within the outer layers of skin, meaning skin hydration continues long after application, and it offers excellent soothing properties as well.
ASTAXANTHIN
To ward off signs of aging with superior antioxidant activity, astaxanthin is a key ingredient in our Probiotic Serum with Tremella—brewed specifically for urban dwellers exposed to more environmental stressors. Our astaxanthin is sourced from microalgaes, outperforms vitamins E and C, and is infused into tamanu oil for optimal dispersion.
ORANGE-DERIVED STEM CELLS
To clarify, tone, and improve the look of elasticity, orange-derived stem cells define our Citrus Stem Cell Serum. Deeply-revitalizing for dry and mature skin, orange-derived stem cells boast a wealth of amino acids, proteins, and peptides.
PINEAPPLE-DERIVED CERAMIDES

We use a copper table and a spinner drum to cleanse and purify the energy of the herbs when we receive them. These herbs are dried because most of our products are oil-based and fresh herbs have water in them. Since water and oil don’t mix, using a fresh herb to create an oil-based product greatly increases the chance for molding and contamination. It’s vital that we take every precaution for purity, however painstaking the process may be.
Most of our products are herb-infused. Once the herbs are gathered together and awoken from their spin in the copper, they’re ready to be steeped. Although the medium they are steeped in can change between products, we generally infuse into organic aloe vera and other skin-nutritive oils at a low heat (never over 95°) to extract all of the beneficial properties of these herbs. These botanical infusions are then left to steep for up to 30 days, while being energized by crystals before serving as a potent base for all our formulas.
We make our products in small batches so that we can keep the consistency and the purity of each one. Although our ingredient lists may be long, we’re proud they aren’t packed with unnecessary fillers or anything remotely synthetic. Complex and crystal-energized, everything we formulate is clean and radically natural—an extension, we feel, of nature herself.
