Everyone! It’s almost officially springtime!
Of course, most of our team lives in the Bay Area, California so we don’t totally have four seasons here, but we can certainly tell that the days are getting longer and the air is a little warmer. The crisp chill of winter is a little less sharp and the song birds are making their way back to the area.
We are feeling the rush of spring coming on, do you? We’re so excited about it that we thought we’d share our favorite things!

My favorite part about spring is green! When I moved to California, we were in a drought (I know, I know we’re not totally past it but at least it rains sometimes now) so there were a couple of years when springtime wasn’t green. 2016 was a good warm up and 2017 was absolutely beautiful but I can already see the super green springtime things coming up so I just KNOW that when the sun is in its springtime fullness I’m going to be full of sparkly green springtime feelings.

My favorite part about the spring is, of course, the weather and the abundance of flowers! That being said, I am also very much into spring cleaning. I’m excited to be struck with that sudden inspiration to purge household items and clothing that no longer serves me. I also feel more in tune with setting intentions for the year during the spring than during the new year because it’s not as forced and I am already into the groove of the year by that point 🙂

This spring, I am most looking forward to spending as much time as possible outdoors. I get so much clarity of mind and heart when I get to spend time in nature, and camping all weekend is my favorite way to disconnect and take in the wonders that mother nature has to offer us. While camping in the winter is doable, it’s much more comfortable as the temperature starts to heat up. 🙂 I am so grateful to be in the Bay Area where there are endless stunning places to camp and hike!

I love the birds chirping, flowers everywhere, the sunsets at the beach, and spring cleaning. Out with the old and in the with new. I am looking forward to purging and painting. I always think of Spring as a fresh start. This year I plan to redecorate, organize, and cleanse the air.

I’m excited for the Spring for numerous reasons: more vitamin D, shorts and tank tops, longer days and pool time with my baby (because spring in Southern CA is basically summer) 🙂

Keeping the doors and windows open!

I enjoy springtime as a period of rejuvenation, when flowers and fruit are bountiful and the days become longer. I also like to integrate springtime ingredients into dishes such as fresh mint, edible flowers, and greens.
