Our Minerals by Annmarie Multi-Purpose Foundation, like all of our products, is free of toxic chemicals and harmful additives. Here’s what’s in it:
Iron Oxide
- Moisture resistant
- Nontoxic and nonirritating
- Provides the pigment
Titanium dioxide (non-nano)
- Low skin penetration
Zinc Oxide (non-nano)
- Helps the skin look vibrant and fresh
- Oily skin benefits
Mica
- Makes the skin look smoother, softer, and more radiant
- Has light reflecting properties
Each shade has a different ratio of the above four ingredients, with each having the highest percentage of iron oxide.
Because the makeup contains titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, it provides a small amount of sun protection. Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are a mineral match made in heaven. That’s why you’ll often seen these two ingredients used in conjunction. Because these two ingredients look white on the skin, nanoparticle versions are often used, because they are less opaque.
There is a lot of debate about whether nanoparticles are a health risk or not. To be safe, we use micronized minerals instead, which do not travel into the bloodstream.
That’s all there is to it! Find out how to use Minerals Multi-Purpose Foundation by Annmarie, according to your complexion, or picking foundation based on your skin tone.

I have older and drier skin and have tried the samples and got too much on the first time. It made me look more wrinkled so tried to use less with oil put on my face first-olive oil and then brushed it around. That was much better. I will probably order the full sizes but will need to probably mix the honey and pearl.I will keep experimenting with the colors I have.

I make my own finishing powder and have tried to make my own mineral foundation. I have been using Bare Minerals for years and have, on occasion, tried other kinds. However, I always come back to Bare Minerals. Not this time. I prefer to use the foundation dry and not wet. It covers better and looks better on than Bare Minerals, and I don’t use nears as much of my finishing power. This is a winner!!! Thank you AnnMarie.

I received the samples the other day and am in love with this product!! I was just about to order the full size when I looked up the ingredients on the cosmetic safety web page and was dissappointed to see that the first all ingredients are listed at a range of 2-6 giving the product a “fair” rating. Am I getting that wrong? And using products approved by the FDA does not give me comfort at all considering all the harmful products the FDA approves.I have a prodcut produced by a woman in MD who uses a combination of different natural oils as a sunscreen which works beautifully. Maybe you could try that instead of the zinc and titanium. Not sure I’ll order but I do LOVE the way it makes my skin look. Thanks.

I understand the 4 ingredients but are there ingredients within those 4? Is this product gluten free & vegan?

Yes, Minerals by Annmarie Multi-Purpose Foundation is gluten free and vegan. The 4 ingredients we talk about in this article are all there is.

I used my samples of the mineral makeup for the first time today. I really like how you can use them mixed with the facial oil or dry with a brush. I found using them like a liquid foundation and then doing a little over the top dry with a brush worked great. I then used the olive shade dry like a bronzer and I really love how it all looks!
