Beautiful Voices is our ongoing blog series that highlights inspiring, empowering women, who are also Annmarie Skin Care customers. Our most recent Beautiful Voice is Lauren Pryor. See what she says when we ask her some questions about her own personal journey with beauty, skin care and living her best life.
Lauren a free spirited girl from Texas. She’s married to an amazing and supportive man and owns a dog she loves like a child. She enjoys yoga, nutrition, being outside, living a healthy lifestyle, the beach, and spending quality time with family and friends. She lived what she thought was a normal life for 26 years, but then everything came to a screeching halt when she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that was “incurable” and very debilitating. After seeing 35 different doctors because no one knew what to do, she turned to holistic ways of living. Over the past 4 years she’s learned how to heal herself—mind, body, and spirit. She went back to school for Holistic Nutrition to prepare herself for helping others who suffer like she did. She plans to have her coaching practice up and running by May 2014, so keep a look out at www.adailydoseofpositive.com.
1—Who do you feel you are today? What event defined your life?
Today I am a very strong and spiritual woman who now knows her true purpose in life. Getting sick was the hardest, but best thing that ever happened to me. It forced me to get to know myself and who I really am. I now know that disEASE is actually an opportunity to grow. Over the course of being sick for four years I have grown more than I could have ever imagined possible. I have learned there are only two ways to live: in a space of fear, or in a space of love. I choose love. I am ready to use this experience to share with other people the knowledge I have gained in hopes of helping them grow and heal.
2—Where and when do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace at the end of a day when I crawl into bed and my husband is right next to me and my dog is laying right next to the bed (because my husband won’t let him in the bed). It puts me in a space of gratitude, which makes me feel at peace. But my go-to place for peace is outside where I can breathe! By the beach, a park, my backyard—anywhere I can connect with nature and reground.
3—What does beauty mean to you?
To me, beauty comes from the inside. Beauty is having a beautiful heart, a beautiful mind, and most importantly, a beautiful soul. At the end of the day you won’t remember the person with the beautiful face, but you will remember the person whose soul shined so bright it touched your soul. That’s beautiful.
4—If money were no object what would you be doing?
I am blessed enough to say, EXACTLY what I am about to be doing: empowering people and teaching them how to love themselves enough to take care of themselves in every area of their lives. It makes me so happy to be of service. If money were no object I would build a Holistic Healing Center. My goal is to do that one day.
5—What is your favorite beauty tip?
My favorite beauty regimen truly is using my Annmarie products. I am so in love with Annmarie’s mission and the products are absolutely amazing. Since the line is all natural and organic it fits perfectly into my holistic lifestyle.
6—What are your words of wisdom to other beauties out there?
No matter what your obstacles are you CAN do it. Look at EVERYTHING and EVERY situation in life as a lesson. What can you learn from it? If you do that, you will continue to grow. Always access your inner strength and I promise you will find more then you ever knew you had!

Lauren is the most beautiful person I have ever met.She has the most pure heart a person can have. Her strength has gaven her so much power and with that power she has gained so much wisdom. I have seen her fight so many battles internal and external. I can’t be prouder of her, I am so glad i can call her my friend. She knows what just to say when a person is having a bad day.I am so proud of your products and all your commitment hope you keep doing what you are doing. You are truley making a diffrence.
Lauren is my wonderful daughter-in-law , and I must tell you , we are so blessed to have been a part of her journey. Many tears of sadness and frustration, as well as many tears for happiness and joy, have followed Lauren’s recent path. But her strength and willingness to never give up have served her well. She has emerged as a beautiful woman inside and out. We love your products and your commitment to helping others become beautiful from the inside out!
