A proper daily skin care routine is a must have for those of us that are pamper-ly inclined but what about those times when you’re running late? You just don’t have the the time for that incredible healing mask (and trust me when I say doing it on the commute to work isn’t ideal). Therefore, I have a few steps that I follow myself to keep my skin supple as ever without investing a lot of time and effort.
Here five things that take five minutes to transform your skin completely. So, read through, try them out, and thank me later!
1—Start the Day with an Apple
Adding an apple to your breakfast can work wonders for your skin in the long run. Apple consists of vitamin C and antioxidants that are great for the health of your skin. They help give you the glow of health that makes your skin look brighter.
If you are in hurry and thinking to skip breakfast, don’t. Grab an apple on your way out.

2—Don’t Forget Sunscreen
A sunblock is a must if you want to maintain youthful looking skin with an even skin tone. Make sure you apply a moisturizing sunscreen made with natural ingredients that protects you from the full spectrum of UV rays and apply it on clean skin underneath your makeup daily.
3—Increase Your Water Intake
This point may sound very obvious but we often skip this step. Staying hydrated is necessary if you want healthy skin with the right pH levels. Plus, drinking water is a great way to detoxify the body and it helps prevent breakouts. Carry a water bottle around with you and finish it twice.
4—Remove Your Makeup
Do not wear makeup for too long. Make sure you cleanse your face thoroughly as soon as you’re in for the evening. When the skin has layers of makeup it can attract dirt and grime so leaving the makeup on after coming home is like inviting a pimple to your face. The dirt settles and gets trapped in pores with the oil and makeup, potentially causing blemishes.
Washing your makeup off is an easy way to make sure that you’re going to bed with clean skin so you don’t wake up with new breakouts to fight.
5—Add Green Tea to Your Routine
Drinking green tea offers anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe and detoxify the skin. Green tea also has a high level of antioxidants that are great for preventing aging signs so try adding a cup or two to your daily routine for better skin and a healthier body.
